Two questions and a poll from an experienced player

Post by Blackite »

I have two questions about oblivion I can't seem to find an answer in the Wiki.

My first question is where are the best caves and ruins to find amber and madness matrixes. I know you find amber in caves and madness in forts but where is your favourite matrix hunting spots.

My second and more complex question is there anyway to be able to kill or immobilize an essential NPC as I wish to kill everyone in Bravil so it will become ghost town :Twisted Evil: . I know that if you feed a guard a poison apple they will die when they respawn so is there any other tricks I can use to kill/immobilize all the people of Bravil :Twisted Evil: .

P.S.(I can't believe I forgot about this) Thanks for any replys anyone makes and thank you for reading my post X3

me' using the xbox 360 version, know of no possible way to kill/ permantly immobilize a essential Npc, but i'm pretty sure that you can get a mod for the pc version, but, before you go looking to kill the whole of bravil, think of how annoying it would be if you were escorting martin and jauffre to cloud ruler temple, and just because you used a mod one of them was killed by a modcrab or wolf or one accidently fell over a cliff :Twisted Evil: it would be annoying, so listen to my advice and keep essentials safe, Oh, one more thing, there's probably a mod to keep things from respawning, but if you are using a home console version, there is no way to keep guards/af from respawning.

Favorite hunting grounds = Rock milk cave, Greenmead cave, and Robbers cave

whoops, sorry you wanted matrixes and amber and madness, sorry, but try those caves out, still got good loot

1: I dont know

2: You can enchant a permanent bound item 'enchanted' with Drain Fatigue and reverse-pickpocket it.

Why would you make Bravil a ghost town?
Bravil is my favorite city.
Then Chorrol, then Leyawiin.
Then Cheydinhal.
Doin my own, thang, and if you got a problem with that
Then the nina go bang, bang, and I'll be everywhere on the map - but
I rep that West

I play on the X-Box 360 so no mods for me =(.(I even had a topic about me getting an X-Box here called "My oblivion pain is over 9000!"). Enchanting bound items and reverse-pick pocketing them seems to be the best (and maybe only) way to dispose of the evil essentials. Edgy thanks for the hunting spots (I use Rock Milk allot but have never went to any of the other places). And Raven I don't like Bravil because of the messy feeling I get when am in there. Anyway when I complete all the guilds/quest I want I will try and kill everyone in the world! MUHAHAHAHAHA!

Damage Fatigue, not Drain.

Two such items will halt your own character's Fatigue regeneration. Three items equipped will cause Fatigue to drop past 0. Have to assume NPCs wil suffer the same.

I tryed the damage fatigue bound items they work. No longer will the essential NPCs be a thorn in my paw and will be put to sleep forever! Muhahahahaha. WolfGang IceEye I know I can find matricies where gummites and gnarls are but I just can't seem to find any caves/forts that give me more than one matrix a run.

I can't name any specifics, since I don't remember, but I've done runs through caves in the main SI questline and have gotten 3-4 matrices in a single cave at times. -shrug-

Here's a list of grummite dungeons. The reason you might not be finding more than one matrix per dungeon is that, it's randomly chosen if they show up or not. Grummites have a small chance of carrying a madness matrix instead of or madness ore. Also, only certain containers will have matrices in them. At levels 1-8 there's a 14.3% chance one will show up. From level 9 and up there's a 25% chance that one will show up. I suggest using Blackroot Lair, as it has 8 chests that can have a matrix in them, as well as many Grummites and Gnarls.
