What is your favourite RP that you have participated in? Well, this is awkard. I want to say all of them but to be honest, in the past 2 years, the RP forum slowed down and i don't have a favourite.

If you are a DM, what is your favourite RP you have ever created? None as i am cursed by the gods of DMing to never have a successful roleplay. [&@%!]. Or i just don't have one and should get to work on the DRB RP idea.

What is your favourite original world? Eh...... S&S? Not because it's the only one i can remember but because... fine, it's because it's the only one i can remember. Happy now! No? Want a cookie? No? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?

Who is your favourite character to RP? So many characters, so many to pick from... Hmm... can i phone a friend? I don't have one. I've been in too many RPs on here and other sites to be able to pick one.

What is your favourite character that other people RP? Er........ if i say no comment, do i get to not be stabbed to death by the RP regulars?

None as well, the RP forum died and only came back to life recently.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve?
Godmodding
DMs that don't give a [&@%!] about the pacing and let it degrade into a free for all. THis hasn't happened on here!
Out of character comments in a [&@%!] RP when they should be hidden or in a OOC TAB!

Players that go behind the DM's back to get their own way.
Players that use things like rape to and i quote "make it racey." Happened on another site but that does [&@%!] me off as that is not to be used in RPs for that purpose!
DMs that ignore dice to save their favourite cast member and kill off a cast member despite the dice not giving them a reason to.
Lazyness
Inactivity killing RPs.
Being yelled at for not 100% protraying a profession. That doesn't happen any more.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit?
Not having the [&@%!] decency to tell me if they are no longer interested or trying to force me to accept their [&@%!] character sheet that is beyond overpowered or makes no sense! I'm a fair guy but if you are trying to combine an arch-mages experience and abilities into a 20 year old, that is instant reject material.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice?
Not waiting for those that have work,school or other as it's no fun coming home to 50 pages. Believe me, that has happened to me on another site and was a major factor in me ditching it.

What character do you love to hate?
Currently, Ronnie, Baloth Kul's character and that other [&@%!] character in Fallout. I don't hate them but when i RP, i kinda become that character whilst i type that post. [&@%!] humans.
Best antagonist?
ME. What do you mean I, the Dovah can't vote for myself!? I've been terrorising UESP for years with my lunacy! Oh come on! SCrew you guys, i'm telling the mods that you have opinions!

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done?
Saved the [&@%!] world. nah, just kidding but erm.... [&@%!], my characters haven't done good things due to dead RPs.
What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character as done?
Nothing yet but Churkan is practically begging to be my first character to commit a morally evil thing.

There's only been two. Naturally, i have to side with Alarra as she is known to kick people who don't agree with her.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying?
Not reading the post propely, mistaking the boundaries of RPing on here thus leading to accidental godmodding. Lollygagging.
How have you improved in RP'ing?
Yes. Many RPs, many lessons learned, may Dovahs Dovahing.

Do you believe Dovah is the best looking UESP on the planet? Bare in mind that the Dovah can exterminate you for your wrong opinion.

What is your favourite RP that you have participated in? Kerr's Fallout Vault 54, because first UESP RP ever. And it was a fantastic RP in its own right.

What is your favourite original world? Castradea, in Union's tragically shortlived Fire Emblem: Call of the Abyss.

Who is your favourite character to RP? Drau Broktar. I. AM. KROOOGAAAAAN.

What is your favourite character that other people RP? Tabitha. She is a light blooming in the darkness.

Who is your favourite DM? Gosh, making me pick favourites. Honestly, I can't decide between Kerr or my bae Union.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve? The odd instance somebody takes something personally.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? Um, I dunno. Not making the RP last my entire life, maybe. XD

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not? Male. Yeah, I don't really know. Whenever I'm roleplaying, I want to put myself directly in that role, think how they would, react how they would, and I just find it really difficult to do that, to get into character as a character of a different gender. I dunno. I hope I can grow out of it.

What is your favourite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players? Well, I've only seen a couple, but uhh. In Union's last Dragon Age RP. I believe it was TSO's? mute elf girl, and my elf shapeshifter, Brennis. Yeah. That was kinda cute.

What is your favourite romance or friendship you have been a part of? Is this, like, irl now? Lolno, uh, same as above, I guess.

Who was your favourite DM-created character? Varos in Fire Emblem RP. Because I KNOW he mmpphhmmm -muffled spoilers-

What character do you love to hate? At present? Lodds. Hah.

Best antagonist? How about that Cthulu guy from Kerr's, uhhh, whatsit. That one RP with the magic-y stuff. Where I was playing a guy who looks and sounds exactly like Nathan Fillion and I ended up burning to death. And coming back. And accidentally burned a woman to death.

Who were you glad to see die? Ezekiel Stone, you bloody [&@%!]. I kinda hate playing "bad" characters...but, then, you guys drove him away, so, it's your fault.

Who were you sad to see die? Sweeney. His ultimate fear was dying without an heir, and his ultimate fear was realized. His family line is gone. But at least his rifle and violin were passed on.

What was the most epic battle? Vimy Ridge. Oh, in a RP? Honestly, maybe at the very end of Vault 54, when Lin Bohai was fighting the storekeeper and his deputy brother, and he kept getting disarmed. Lost every weapon, until I remembered I had that rifle. Then I murdered my way out of there. REGRET.

What was the tensest moment? See above. Bo was incredibly close to getting jailed and/or shot.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done? Don't rightly know. Still really haven't been RPing here that long. Dr. Luke is looking after Tabitha, that's nice.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character has done? That time Cardbird straight up murdered a child. Yeah.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep? Fire Emblem. Except it died as a RP. D: but it lives on!

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all? Simultaneously telling/sharing, and helping to write a story, in a specific setting.

What UESP RP needs a sequel? FIRE EMBLEM RP. And/or the last Dragon Age one.

Best RP-related creation? Fire Emblem: Call of the Abyss' continuing written fiction that Union needs to hurry and write more of

Who are two characters from any RP setting that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo? Arthas and Brondar. GOOD COP BAD COP BRO COPS.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? Ezekiel Stone into Mass Effect Aftermath, because a stinking pile of guts and bones is funnier in zero G.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? Oh god, why do you have to make me recount this? Okay, does everybody remember when I joined Vault 54, and I had next to no notion of how roleplaying worked? And we left the vault, there was that ghoul, and I panicked, and I was like "uh, okay yeah, and there's a whole town of ghouls right there"? Yeah idk what the hell I was thinking, but I have since learned...CONSIDERABLY.

How have you improved in RP'ing? See above.

How can you improve in RP'ing? Maybe if I start playing, yknow, other genders.

Coolest character name? Magnus Kill'slay. He descended from orbit, killed everything with rockets, and lit a cigar for himself.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying? Ezekiel Stone, because he wasn't a very good guy.

Latest you've stayed up RPing? Too late. Probably, like, 2 AM or something.

Have you RPed in real life? L5R RPG monday nights (god I love it. Think feudal japan with fantasy monsters and hell on earth), and D&D...usually. And I'm DMing a D&D campaign set in TES universe. In Morrowind, specifically.

What is your favourite RP that you have participated in?: To this day I still have to say Silicon & Sorcery was the most fun I've had in an RP.

If you are a DM, what is your favourite RP you have ever created?: I'm still partial to Call of the Abyss. So much so that I'm still writing it!

What is your favourite original world?: Luáda was beautiful, really. I loved the tone that the setting, well, set.

Who is your favourite character to RP?: Ash in World of Darkness so far. It's so fun to play someone evil for a change, really!

What is your favourite character that other people RP?: It's a toss up right now between Ron and Tabitha from Great White North. Both are wonderfully acted out, and we're only a few pages in! As for all-time, Brondar from S&S is still up there. So is Jessica Woods from V54.

Who is your favourite DM?: I would write a No One's Like Gaston parody in Kerr's name if I had the motivation.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve?: Editing after your post has been replied to. Stahp.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit?: Finding plot holes in my writing. Writeing are hard sometime. No but seriously please continue to do so, so that I might improve

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice?: I dunno, the DM's here are pretty much on point.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not?: I have tried to make more females in my time but I favor males because, you know, it's easier to fit those shoes? I say that even though I believe gender doesn't really have much of an effect on your mindset or personality, but that's just how it is.

What is your favourite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players?: Nothing, and I repeat, nothing, has yet beaten East and Adrienne in this regard. So real.

What is your favourite romance or friendship you have been a part of?: ARTHAS AND BRONDAR, BRO COPS 4 LIEF

Who was your favourite DM-created character?: Tharen Vitellius I really liked Lance Kuo. Overseer Zharkov is a hardass too. And Recipe!

What character do you love to hate?: Lodds isn't high on my list of people I would invite to a fancy dinner.

Best antagonist?: Gamlen from S&S. Excellent final boss material.

Who were you glad to see die?: Ezekiel Stone. It just felt good when the die rolled in my favor.

Who were you sad to see die?: I'm still sad that Gideon had to die in The Lost Wardens.

What was the most epic battle?: The final battle in S&S against Gamlen the Lich. Killing blow goes to Arthas, [&@%!]! The dragon fight from After Alduin was pretty rad too. My character got to ride a dragon!

What was the tensest moment?: The hostage situation of S&S was so great and kept me on the edge of my seat when it was happening. Still can't believe that worked.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done?: What Daud is going to do when I finish writing Call of the Abyss Umm... Everyone banding together to fight off the invaders of Jacksbank was really awesome.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character as done?: Taking the credit here, Ash committing Diablerie on Cillian after she had already blown his head apart was pretty messed up.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep?: S&S did all the time. V54 too because you risked missing 20 pages when you fell asleep. (I still loved it.)

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all?: Like most people, it's just multiple people getting together to write a story!

What UESP RP needs a sequel?: Silicon and Sorcery, brah.

What discontinued RP needs a reboot?: Cog & Gear, man. :c And After Alduin.

Who are two characters from any RP setting that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo?: Mizu from Luada would make a kickass shoulder-fairy-companion for Easton from V54. Just because differences!

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go?: Put Arthas in Great White North! :D Really, I think it'd be neat.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying?: DM PC's in my roleplays. I'm still guilty of this. But I'm better about them not being the center of the plot anymore.

How have you improved in RP'ing?: I've gotten more varied in my characters at long last!

How can you improve in RP'ing?: Doing more posts that aren't just one liners. "Blah blah" said X as they Y.

Coolest character name?: Gotta give this one to my boi Magnus Kill'slay, he cannot be beaten.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying?: Ashling Lancaster because Neutral Evil is very different from Chaotic Good.

Latest you've stayed up RPing?: As late as the rest of you guys stay up. So uh, up til 2 AM ish.

Have you RPed in real life? (ie. LARP, D&D, etc.): For as much as I've played Baldur's Gate and similar games, I've only really done a few D&D sessions and they've all been one-off sessions. Not regular meetings or anything.

What is your favourite RP that you have participated in? I remember Blacklight and The Next Group pretty fondly.

If you are a GM, what is your favourite RP you have ever created? Silicon & Sorcery was great. I loved running it and the players were wonderful.

What is your favourite original world? Luáda was interesting as a setting, shame we didn't get to do much in it.

Who is your favourite character to RP? It was easily Chris from Blacklight. I thought they were a really enjoyable character to play. They were 'neutral good' which I like and I liked the backstory and set up I made for the character with them being someone who is constantly reincarnated and remembers all their past lives and it was fun playing a non-combat focused character who instead mainly healed and talked to people. But more than anything I liked what happened to them and how I played them. They had really hard lives in the past lives (being a slave, seeing your child killed before your eyes, being at hirmoshima when the bomb dropped, dying in child birth, killed by brother, etc.) but over the RP awful things just kept happening to Chris. People Chris cared about kept dying and instead of just laughing it off as many PCs might or swearing angry revenge, I played Chris as someone who was severely impacted psychologically by it but it didn't make them any worse of a person. Having mental illness does not make you evil and as the RP went on I tried to play Chris as someone who suffering from some form of depression.Under different circumstances he may well have just re-rolled. It was also interesting playing a character in that world who was as naive, idealistic and overall just as nice as Chris. He also wasn't a woe is me, why must I be immortal person. Like, he loved being immortal, it was great. But he did take the loss of others pretty harshly, he blamed himself for Kat's death for a long time. I thought he was just a really likable, enjoyable and interesting character to play. I loved it.

What is your favourite character that other people RP? Quite a few come to mind, especially players in RPs I've ran. But if I had to pick two it would be Caius and Arthas from S&S.

Who is your favourite GM? Eh, I don't have a favourite. I have quite a few I like though.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve? GMPCs aren't always bad and when bad they aren't always equally bad but sometimes, man. I don't want to insult Matt (if you read this don't take it as a personal attack on you,) especially because he hasn't been here for two years and can't defend himself but in an RP he did called New Age I felt every single one of us Player Characters may as well have not been there because we didn't matter. It consisted of us following around NPCs who were deciding everything we did and were doing all the important stuff. I didn't just feel like nothing I did mattered, I felt like nothing any of the PCs did matter that none of was important. Maybe it would have changed if it went on longer, I don't know.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit? That one time you made an entire town of ghouls Baloth, I've never forgiven you! Ghouls are sterile, they can't even have children! Nah, that's a joke. It was annoying at the time but it got sorted pretty quickly. But yeah, related to that. God modding, don't do it.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? Justice killed my dog! He killed my dog! RIP Mutt.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not? No. I've played Male, Female and Nonbinary characters with no real preference. Might relate to my own gender identity (Nonbinary,) who knows? But really I don't think you need to be the same gender, race, sexuality etc as someone to relate to them. I don't think people who identify strongly as a male or female can relate to characters who aren't the same gender any worse than I can. Gender and sexuality is part of who you are, sure, but it doesn't define you. I find it weird that someone can play a lizard person who shoots lightning at dragons but a human who isn't the same sex as you is too different. Shrug.

What is your favourite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players? East and Adrienne were very sweet.

What is your favourite romance or friendship you have been a part of? Joke Answer: Nate and Kenny the Turtle. He fell out of the sky and right into my heart. Serious Answer: Chris and Kat from Blacklight. That was great. They did get along but there was conflicts and arguments there which made it interesting. Also they had sex pretty early but soon afterwards Chris wanted to slow things down, not because he didn't like her but because he actually wanted to get to know her better. And some players went har, har at the idea but that's just the kind of the person Chris is. Also it ended really tragically which was interesting.

Who was your favourite GM-created character? I really liked Morgan the Vampire from Blacklight. And Kenny and Mutt which were pets my characters had which were GM created, they were great.

What character do you love to hate? Ash from WOD and Rosa from S&S are awful people. It's great.

Best antagonist? There was this super old Vampire in Blacklight and while I hated the premise (oh yeah, turns out humans haven't done things, it was all secretly vampires) dealing with him was great. It was set up that fighting him would be super difficult, but I didn't fight him him. I talked to him and was able to convince him he was being manipulated by the main villain and that he shouldn't fight us. He collapsed to his knees, ashamed at being made a fool, at which point he was murdered by someone else but that whole section was great.

Who were you glad to see die? As horrible as it sounds, Valsha Réváin. She was an absolute clown, she kind of deserved what happened for being so dumb.

Who were you sad to see die? My dog! Justice killed my dog! Also players have killed NPCs I was sad to have die. Like Ganron in S&S, he didn't deserve to be killed.

What was the most epic battle? The Final Chapter of Blacklight. I was starting to think I might not make it to the water.

What was the tensest moment? The aforementioned talk with the Elder Vampire.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done? Saving Nic in S&S which ultimately resulted in the players not getting paid. Bhaal would have paid you. Although it wasn't Black and White, there was good reason to turn Nic in, ProtoGen might have had helpful info.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character as done? I've had players kill children and kittens for no reason.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep? Not applicable. If I stayed up late it's because I tend to stay up late anyway.

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all? Role Playing Game, you know like Dungeons and Dragons. All my friends at least have some idea what Dungeons and Dragons is.

What UESP RP needs a sequel? Blacklight.

What discontinued RP needs a reboot? I really loved Avron's TES RPG while it lasted.

Best RP-related creation? Unionhack making a TV Tropes page for Fallout: Great White North was super cool, it's amazing to think somone made a TV Tropes out of something I made.

Who are two characters from any RP setting that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo? Nate from TNG (who is Chaotic Neutral immortal in that doesn't age and when dies all wounds would heal) and Chris from Blacklight (who is Neutral Good, immortality via getting reincarnated and remembering) would be an interesting immortal duo. Not sure how well they would get along though, they are pretty different but it would be neat to see them meet.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? Talsi, the Vampire I played in Avron's TES RPG in World of Darkness might be fun.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? Umbra and They Came From Beyond The Stars! I [&@%!] up in both cases, the RPGs didn't come together the way I hoped and I felt I provided a really sub-par experience. I'd like to apologize to anyone who played in either of them. They should have been better.

How have you improved in RP'ing? I'd like to think I'm better at everything than I was back when I started partaking in Play By Post RPGs here.

How can you improve in RP'ing? I can play characters of more variant moral outlooks. I tend to play "Neutral Good" characters pretty much all the time.

Coolest character name? Friedrich Karls. I wish I was half as cool as you as Breadmax, perhaps then I could too have a character with as great of a name.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying? Ned from Fire Emblem. I haven fallen into a habit of playing what could considered 'Neutral Good' characters, playing what could be seen as a 'True Neutral' character was a nice change of pace. I didn't happen in the RP but in Archive Of Our Own (which I think I'm up to date with) I also like the direction his character has taken, murdering his brother, becoming Duke. It was Unionhack who did that, not me, but in both cases it's exactly what he would have done. Although I might have killed his Sister in Law too.

Latest you've stayed up RPing? Not applicable. If I stayed up late it's because I tend to stay up late anyway.

Have you RPed in real life? The internet isn't real life? Other users on UESP aren't real? Anyway, yes I have but only one-shots. Not nearly as much as I would like to but Play by Post is fine.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Cardbird's murder of a child is going to take the prize for most evil evil evil evil thing done in an RP, here. Unless we enter town and Lodds immediately eats two schoolchildren in front of their mothers.

S&S. It was an interesting world and i would love to see another RP take palce in it. I loved how Kerr managed to combine magic and augmentation into one setting without it overshadowing the other. Sadly, it's the only world i can remember due to how many RPs i've been in.

Currently, Churkan Hard, the jerkass cop with a heart of Krogan Testrone. It's surprisingly fun being an utter [&@%!]. Lodds may become my second favourite depending on development and how the rest of the RP pans out. Psyfalia holds a special place for me as she was from the early days of RPing for me and he decision to kill her off was at my request as she stagmented but she was the only one that people liked out of my early characters.

Godmodders, GMs favouring certain players/making their character the most important character and having the entire RP be their thing instead of a story involving a cast.

Dropping out without telling me. That's what killed Gladiator due to virtually all of the cast dropping out or not posting.
Inactivity and not being told if there is a reason for it.

Archer's Pirates RP, Madgod's Realm, Epic's zombie RP, Hope Falls, Dragon Age and The Souless Collection. The Batman RP needs a bit of a reboot but i think Shadow overestimated how many of us would not pick the hero side.

How have you improved in RP'ing? Getting practice writing in general. I'm an aspiring writer (which is obviously why I'll be taking computer engineering in university) and in the months I was away from the forums, I was working hard on what should be the final edition of my first novel. That alone has improved my writing a lot, and hopefully will continue to.

However, the title for my favrotie character of all time is a three-way tie between Chris Blackwood, Wrath (formerly known as Katarzyna), and Greed (formerly known as Bryan). All form Blacklight: DotW, of course. Chris was sympathetic and smart with a unique backstory, Kat/Wrath was badass with a sad backstory and brought an interesting dynamic to the group, and Bryan/Greed brought typical Br3admax sarcasm and in particular, Greed went against the general grain by acting like a jerk to everyone

POMC S117 was a great DM in all of his RPs, providing detailed and well-written posts and characters. I really wish he frequented the forum

When people don't read posts (DM posts, in particular) carefully enough, I guess. Everyone does pretty well here though, probably because they're all veterans.

I die a little inside whenever someone's spent 15 minutes typing a post, but then suddenly logs out. Of course, I've only run one ill-fated RP, so what do I know?

The DMs are pretty great here. Maybe it's due to the relative small community of RPers compared to other larger forums that we don't have more terrible DMs.

I'm assuming these two questions are asking about my characters. I suppose Regis almost killing himself by drowning the pirates, but continuing to fight in The Legacy of Fjánnin was pretty selfless.

Darr plotting against Durak, the druid, and the other dwarves in Stranger Prince was pretty a pretty dick move. So was extorting Durak to pay him all that gold in order to save him from drowning in the well.

What is your favourite RP that you have participated in? None of the ones I have been in have gone on for long, but I probably enjoyed Rough Seas (the first one, I wasn't in the reboot) the most, just because of POMC and the entire British side of the RP. It was funny, the characters were endearing, and the battle, even though one side was hugely disadvantaged and almost destined to lose, was exciting, yet sad at the same time. It even ended up more pirate-y than the pirate side of the RP, and was a joy to read.

If you are a DM, what is your favourite RP you have ever created? Shadows Of The Past. It didn't live long, and it couldn't last without more characters, but I enjoyed what little of it there was, and the few characters I did get were lovely (especially Grabthar (yes I know the reference now) and Lust's hilariously bad death). I do hope to reboot it in the future; same setting, same NPCs, same story, but hopefully more PCs. It also might have a different title, so if you see something vague you don't know about from me, it's probably this reboot.

What is your favourite original world? I haven't been in any more than one RP with an original world, so I can't say.

Who is your favourite character to RP? Abdur-Rahman al-Qudsi. He didn't get any interaction, and translating his Arabic speech was a mistake, but just running around with him and typing out his thoughts was loads of fun. I was disappointed that he never got to speak with more than one other PC for just a few posts, but it's understandable why he'd be avoided.

What is your favourite character that other people RP? Once again, nothing I've been in lasted for very long, but I'd have to go with Francis Horatio Cornwallis and William York, POMC's characters from Rough Seas.

One thing I have a very strong dislike for is pointless or misplaced characters. Characters with no goals or lives of their own, or no interesting personality traits. Or maybe just having no place in the world they've been placed in; like having a time-travelling ninja randomly catch a boat and head to Rapture to have a good long talk about inter-temporal relations and objectivist philosophy. Or a rich, successful, immortal, kind, trader and scholar, who is also a pirate.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? Nobody would go anywhere. None of my characters are flexible - or interesting - enough.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? The amount of times I godmodded in Pioneer is ridiculous. Seriously, I was horrible in that RP. I had non-stop grammatical errors (some of which I unfortunately still hold on to to this day), a ridiculously limited vocabulary (another thing which I still hold on to to this day), stupid out of character moments, lots of pointless and irrelevant faffing about, and some really forced interaction and dialogue on my part.

How can you improve in RP'ing? Practice makes perfect, but sometimes so does research, I suppose.

Coolest character name? Nothing really stands out to me. Makes sense though, most regular people don't have super cool names.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying? I'm still rolling around in my comfort zone, for the most part, but Abdur-Rahman was my attempt to get out and make someone mean and strong, and I think I might have managed it if I'd actually done more in the RP, but who knows.

Latest you've stayed up RPing? 3 or 4 AM. Unlike most of you vampires, I usually go to bed early, so staying up is actually an event for me.

What is your favourite RP that you have participated in? Battle for the East. I'm sure none of you remember it, but it was a good time.

If you are a DM, what is your favourite RP you have ever created? Atheryin: Fall of Thyros. I regret that the death of the forums killed that RP, it was really going somewhere. However, I do pride myself on the RP Tyranny: The Heart of Tamriel. That was arguably one of the largest and fastest moving RPs on these forums, and it was a [&@%!] rollercoaster while it lasted.

What is your favourite original world? lol mine
Though if I have to be humble, Pom's Stranger Prince (Cerceres) universe is by far one of the best.

Who is your favourite character to RP? Allen Søndergaard, from Rough Seas v. I & II

What is your favourite character that other people RP? Anything that Arch Mage Matt used to play. Like legit, I'd read RPs he was in when I didn't even participate in them.

Who is your favourite DM? Kerr's always been a great, authoritative DM, but I do also enjoy Pom's excellent management of story.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve? When people don't know their [&@%!] [&@%!]. People who don't understand how an RP works, the history of an RP, what godmodding is (and why it's bad they're doing it), and above all, bad writing. Yeah, I know, I hate to be that guy, but not everyone is Thoreau, and there's nothing worse than sharing the story with somebody who's completely incompetent.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit? See above. Please, do your DMs a favor and contribute to the story, not [&@%!] black tar heroin out all over its perfectly trimmed garden of a story.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? Passive DMs. Speaks for itself.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not? I've always favored male characters, I assume because I'm also a dude and it's easier to relate. That goes for any form of RP, including video games.

What is your favourite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players? There was that one relationship in Kerr's 1950's alien RP (its name escapes me) between Musicman and another person's character that was just adorable.

What is your favourite romance or friendship you have been a part of? The friendship dichotomy between Tei-Kilaya and Beren Donus in Battle for the East. A jerkass rogue, and a drunken fool... It was a match made in heaven. One of my favorite quotes was this:

Zombie: Beren looked up from the bar to see Duruza rushing past.
"Gurwut? Oh," he mumbled, then passed out.
The barkeeper prodded Beren.
"Oi, mate! That Duruza fella just flashed past. You wanted to talk to him about that lizard fella that was here earlier didn't you?
Beren just looked at his friend in alcoholic confusion.
"Oh crap!" he yelled, jumping to his feet, knocking over the piles of empty Flin bottles on the bar.
He raced out the door, staggering as he went, yelling;
"DURUZA!" although it didn't come out like that.
He rounded a corner, and smashed into a City Watch patrol.
"Oh bugger."

Weasel: Kilaya heard a commotion and saw Beren passed out on the ground, the guard looking at him strangely. He scurried over and grabbed the Dunmer by the shoulders.
"Excuse him. He's a bit... Drunk." Kilaya dragged Beren behind a bush.

He stayed behind that bush for like, five pages.

What character do you love to hate? [&@%!] Nochte. I just hated him, really. I enjoyed hating him.

Best antagonist? Glenvyine, the Jylla witch coven leader, was a seriously interesting antagonist. It's a shame players never got to see him.

Who were you glad to see die? Kerenan and Nochte. Did they die? I don't remember anymore. I just hated them so much.

What was the most epic battle? The battle between traitorous Welshman Avery (and his massive First Rate ship, the HMS Osprey) and the HMS Equaliser and HMS Imperator. After taking a heavy beating from the leviathan Osprey, the Imperator was sinking into the Caribbean Sea, and the Equaliser taking on water in its lowest decks, the Equaliser rammed the Osprey and was boarded by her crew. The Osprey's invading party was met by the Equaliser's crew, armed to the teeth with muskets, and the Osprey captain and his Welsh compatriots were shot down after firing shots into the shoulder of Francis Horatio Cornwallis, captain of the HMS Imperator.

Second comes the first incarnation of Tamrielic Adventures, Eltee and I fought a massive troll in a cave, and nearly died ourselves. Maybe it was because it was my first RP, but it was an epic fight. In close third is the first confrontation in Battle for the East.

What was the tensest moment? The meeting with General Tullius in Tyranny. Poor guy was [&@%!]. up.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done? It'd be hard to count every time I've seen somebody do something ooey-gooey and morally correct.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? I hate to expose this, but Jonathan Kune in They Came From Beyond The Stars! was almost the same character as Allen Søndergaard, from Rough Seas; Allen, however, is far more fleshed out.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? I was a ridiculous godmod in Tamrielic Adventures v. I. Like, MASSIVE godmod. It was horrible and I'm glad I can't find that RP. I didn't even try to find it

How have you improved in RP'ing? No godmodding, better storytelling, and I actually stick around nowadays.

How can you improve in RP'ing? I need to stop abandoning [&@%!] from now on. I've been pretty good about this now, but I always worry I can just disappear without consciously knowing it. I also need to get better at creating relationships with other player's characters. This is where I can find fault in everyone involved, however: being involved in the "social circle" of the RP community here usually leads to more willing character interaction, and I've found that being on the outside of that really leaves characters out in the cold as well. However, I'm as much to blame for not giving enough [&@%!] to try and pierce that wall.

Coolest character name? My immediate thought is Kylar Thorne, Goldbrand's character in Tyranny. Of course, I'm partial to the name Allen Søndergaard as well, and I liked Sandy "Split" Cooke in RS, too.

Well, first of all, I'd like to say that the writing was brilliant, and everything about the scene was incredibly on-point:

In an Elder Scrolls RP of Eltee's creation (I forget which), there was a scene where a group of raiding barbarians burst into a chapel full of monks, nuns, and small children (they were either orphans or some type of sunday school). The barbarians slaughtered nearly everyone inside except a select few... One of them was Deandra's character, a young girl who was part of the group of other children. While the storm roared outside, the barbarian took Deandra's character to the altar of the church, and raped her right then and there, among the blood of her peers and the clergy.
I wasn't part of the RP, but that's how I remember it after reading it. Every last detail was described, and there was no fade to black. The whole thing caused a lot of issues (including what I believe to be potential legal problems) and is part of the reason why fade to blacks on scenes as brutal or sexual are now extremely encouraged.

Oh man, now I miss Rough Seas. I was phasing out of the forums as V2 came around, but I did have a good time in V1. I had a kitchen-knife-wielding angry French pirate cook who, if I'd gotten to play him more and develop him beyond the initial idea, probably would have now ranked as one of my all-time favourites. I think I'll retroactively add RS to my list of RPs that need a reboot.
