I've been asking this question everywhere, and I can't find the answer through a Google search.
I downloaded Breezehome TNF Beds Plus. I wanted to add a couple of rooms to it, so I opened up the mod in the Creation Kit, and saw that there were plane markers all over it. The plane markers are long white sheets that intersect each room. They aren't collision markers -- which are yellow boxes, and they aren't room markers -- which are large blue boxes that entirely encase each room. Like I said, these are long white sheets that intersect each room. I don't know what they are, so I don't know if it's okay to modify this mod.
I've already checked out the Creation Kit main site so please don't suggest I go there. There isn't anything there that answers my question.
Thanks in advance!

Could they be occlusion planes?

Re: What are plane markers?
An occlusion plane unrenders parts of a cell/objects/NPCs that are not being seen by the player, in most cases behind a wall or above/below floors (occluded).

Re: What are plane markers?
I've been playing around with the CK today, and it looks like the plane markers are actually occlusion planes...at least that how it looks to me. But I thought room markers -- big blue boxes that encase each room -- was what's needed to keep unseen rooms from rendering its objects. I want to expand this Breezehome mod I downloaded, and I'm thinking that setting room boxes might be a good idea, but I don't know if room boxes can be used along with existing occlusion planes. I can't find any tutorials on how to use occlusion planes either. I can only find tutorials on how to set up room markers. I'm thinking I can just leave the occlusion planes that are already in the mod alone, and just use room markers for then new rooms I want to add. I'm hoping doing things this way won't mess everything up.
I hope I'm making some sense here, and thanks for your help. Appreciate it!
Edit: Found this as well on a message board:
What would be the use for an occlusion plane?
I know it's to stop from rendering but what would be a circumstance where you would want to do that?
Thanks!
you can probably use them to optimize your level where roombounds wuold be an impossibility (such as an indoor house with shared wall pieces)
if you have a house that packed to the gills with lights and FX, you may want to start using some type of triggered occlusion so that stuff isnt being rendered behind walls. normally room bounds and portals take care of this, but if you are using kit pieces that have 2-sided walls, room bounds are thrown out the window (since it will not render either side of the wall)
So yeah, it's starting to make more sense. Many of the walls in this Breezehome mod I'm working on do, in fact, have shared walls. So I need to use occlusion planes then. Just need to find out how to do this.

Re: What are plane markers?
Yeah, not sure, of course, but it looks like it's pretty straightforward. Just click the button on the top that makes the occlusion plane, size it appropriately, then place it. Hopefully that's all there is to it, and I don't have to link it to something else or something. I'll need to go over that page you linked thoroughly. Thanks for your help!
