It's no joke, it's just a result of: A. Few mods being on this late (for the US) or B. We don't have any Euro-mods. (Unless I'm forgetting where people live.)

Re: General Discussion
I had a quite vivid dream that Musicman genetically altered me to turn into a giant gorilla-like beast of war for the mods to use during a bloody forum battle. As an April Fools joke.
Anyone would be a bit miffed about waking up and realizing you're not a giant gorilla beast of war.

It's 12.02pm now on the 1st, so the fooling period here is now technically over, though lots of people don't adhere to the rule (maybe a rule just made up to try and stop people doing pranks all day long).

Musicman wanted to turn you into a bioweapon for their uses, Nanza but funding ran short and i had no resources to do so. I may have wasted them on turning Beta into a pirated version of AKB with the power of a fully function death star.
But i can turn you into a pair of panties via this sciencey thingy i have in front of me.

Re: General Discussion
Strange question, but would anyone here have any knowledge on the old Gameboy advances? I recently came across my old one, and put it away for a couple weeks. Seeing as I had the night off I decided to boot it up, and see if my childhood pokemon team was everything I remembered it to be. Except it wouldn't turn on. Visibly, the system seemed in almost perfect condition (In my early years I wasn't the brightest, and as such I left some batteries in the back... By some miracle the terminals never corroded though.) However, no matter what I tried the damn thing wouldn't even flicker. After some internet searching, I read somewhere that the power switches sometimes give out, but I'm rather unsure. After sitting in a box for almost ten years, I kinda doubt that would be the first thing that breaks on a GBA, but I suppose you never know... So before I attempt to fix this with my meager soldering skills, would anyone have any suggestions for what the problem might be, or something that I could try..?
TL;DR:My GBA's dicked, and I'd enjoy if it wasn't.

Re: General Discussion
So the power light on it doesn't even turn on? If so, it'd be either the batteries (whether the batteries themselves or the terminals) or the switch. It seems unlikely that the switch would give out. You are putting a game in the slot, right?

Re: General Discussion
Exactly, I've tried a couple different batteries, games and even an old rechargeable thing I had (http://www.amazon.com/ACC-GBA-POWER-RUM ... B00005O48I) . None have made the power light even flicker. The left positive terminal does have a scratch on it, but aside from that it seems to be in pretty much perfect condition.ZeFriendZone wrote:So the power light on it doesn't even turn on? Kill-Cam shots: Every time Cam is almost killed or threatened with Death via Mars, you take a shot.

Re: General Discussion
Does the GBA have a fuse in it? I doubt it but it's worth a shot I guess because if it does indeed have one, it's possible that the fuse has blown causing it to not turn on.
The older Gameboys didn't have one but I don't know about the newer ones.

Re: General Discussion
I know that the SPs had fuses, although I couldn't really say about the originals. I'll definitely keep an eye out for a fuse though! Either way, it's looking like I might have to open it up
... Here's hoping I don't completely screw it over. Still though, thanks for all the help!

Ugh. Yes. As fun as it can be taking screenshots with them, they're really quite annoying when you're just trying to play. Especially the ranged ones. So many [&@%!] misses. Over and over again...Linkuya wrote:Mother of the [&@%!], so many 'kill-cam shots' or whatever you call them in Skyrim. Mod this annoyance outta here.
On a sort of related note, I saw the April Fool's post involving the mudcrabs and I realized I would definitely play a game where I could just run around as a mudcrab all the time. I mean... I already play Spore and, in the Creature Stage, it's pretty much just that... Just with more singing/fighting than the average mudcrab is capable of. I'm tempted to make a super powered mudcrab in Spore and then go on a rampage across a planet named Nirn.
Edit:
It happened. I had to modify somebody else's creature, though. I couldn't get a mudcrab to look right. That one doesn't really look right, either, but it's better than what I could come up with.

Re: General Discussion
I think I managed to create my weirdest monster yet in my dreams last night.
I created a massive cloud monster of some sort. Multiple thick funnel clouds came out of a storm and, at the end of each one, grew a massive head. They struck at the houses below like snakes. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
The roars were... Thunderous.
Approximate creation in Spore:
That definitely doesn't do it justice. I mean... Even for me, that's a pretty weird thing to encounter in a dream.
Well... Two dreams.
I kinda wonder if it's possible for weather to influence dreams.
On Tuesday, we had our first thunderstorm of the year. On Wednesday, it switched to a random spring blizzard.
Or maybe I'm just crazy. Who knows?
