I'm pretty excited about it myself. Except for the amount of time the patch is going to take, 14 GB is a pretty large chunk of data.

However, it would be nice if I could sleep to get some testing in along with some time on the live server but I may have to forgo testing because I'm not going in without being on point and alert. Its my day off except for some training that I'm doing from home and I really don't want to waste most of the day asleep but at the same time, I don't want to go into "deployment zombie" mode and not do focused testing, I tend to hunt for regressions which is hard enough to do semi-blind on proprietary projects.

Its not my first go round testing on a project where I can't see the source though, as I've been an on and off guinea pig on Tribble, Star Trek Online's beta server since just after Launch in 2010 though they also have a PTS called Redshirt which is mainly used for Alpha-level stuff and as a result it gets wiped all the time, hence the name ("Redshirts" get killed all the time in the Original 1960's series, in case anyone doesn't get what I'm driving at).

The only other concern I have is that in November I wasn't Vet yet I don't think. I think I was in the higher 40s. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

Right on. Huge updates should have huge notes. I must have spent 30 minutes reading it, and I read pretty freaking fast. I like how they're attempting to make some of the more useless abilities at least a little less useless on top of the new systems. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play today.

I don't like being Negative Nancy but how has this game been out for a year and I still have to stack items in my bank manually? Why can't I type to search for items in the guild store, or at the very least sort items alphabetically? I'm trying to buy some dwarven ingots and I have to sift through hundreds of stacks of all other kinds of ingots in any order but alphabetical.

For a game that obviously develops quite a lot at the moment it's amazing that some things are still lacking basic functionality. These are mostly UI related, I suppose, since devs are counting on players developing the interface for free.

You'd rather it be alphabetic and not based on price? I personally prefer it being sorted in ascending order based on price, as it keeps people from doing stuff like gouging (e.g 300k for an Imperial Motif, 70k for a Signet of the Warlock, etc) if they actually expect to sell the item. Maybe thats just me, but I prefer it that way, it keeps the guild stores competitive IMO.

I'd be willing to bet that they'll address your issues with stacking when the console versions come out, I can't see the console crowd reacting well to not having a single button, or a simple combination (L1 and Triangle or something) to push to sort their items. Then again, that kind of a fix may not make it to us since we can use addons to do what you're after and I doubt the console versions will be able to do the same.

If it were one of the other, yes, but I'd rather let the player choose. We can choose to sort by price or by time. Why not alphabetical?
If I'm buying dwarven ingots I'd much rather look at five items and see which is the cheapest than having to sift through a hundred items.

All the addons that Deandra posted are pretty good, but I personally recommend Awesome Guild Store, since its supported currently. I forgot about Roomba, but it does save time in regard to inventory management. I don't use it because I like being in total control, but I haven't heard any complaints about it. However, I've never used advanced filters so I don't know how well it works.

I myself use an older addon that's on ESOUI called Guild Store Search extended, but it hasn't been updated in a very long time, like since August last time I looked, so I don't recommend it to other users but I stick with it as "Melior diabolus quem scies" ("Better the devil you know").

If it ever goes fully incompatible or starts throwing errors every time I log in or change zones, I'll switch to Awesome Guild Store, but while its still working I stay with it since it has most of the same functionality as DataDaedra in regard to checking prices as well as an enhanced search capability.

Yes, yes, I've had the addons of course. These are no excuse for not making the basic game interface useful after years of development.

Well personally I'd rather have the developers spend their time adding new content and doing exactly the sorts of things they're doing for 1.6 than spending their time redoing what you can already do with mods. The impact to my game experience from the former is huge, while the impact from the latter would be roughly zero. Sure, it would be great if they can get to it eventually, but in the meantime, I'll use a mod and move on with my life. And that way, I can completely customize which features I do or don't want in my UI.
