I have never...

- Finished the main quest. I've started with a few characters but it just never felt right or they had other things that they were doing so I just ignored the fact that they were "dragonborn".
- Finished the civil war questline for either side. Like above I've started the questline for both sides but never finished, though this time it's because I think the questline is a bit tedious and boring.
- Finished the mages college questline. Just haven't had a dedicated mage character yet.
- Killed a named npc just because they annoyed me.
- Had a character that didn't use a horse. I'm probably the only one, but I love riding through the wilderness on horseback. Though to be fair it was a lot less clunky with a controller..
- Done most of the deadric quests. I like my characters to have a reason to do a deadra's bidding, usually they only do them if they revere that particular prince or if their hand is forced because of a questline
- Had a character that made it past level 40. I keep making new characters with new stories and I get distracted..
- Worn armor just for it's ratings.. it has to both look cool and be appropriate to my character as well. It just does.
- Had a character that wasn't a hoarder of useless junk and who didn't buy a house specifically to display said useless junk. Books and pottery are my biggest downfalls. In fact, I just got the anthology and promptly made a character in Morrowind, and you know the first thing I did? I built a house in Balmora and filled it with useless junk.. mostly books and pottery.. and a lot of food!
- I've also never played a male character and I'm not really sure why..

I have never played the Dragonborn expansion. Mainly because I didn't have it.

Note the past tense there. I just downloaded it from Steam. Upgraded the basic game from v1.5 to v1.9 as well, with whatever little tidbits they added between then and now.

Which means starting a new game. Given than I preserved Casandra Serein's face into one of the default Imperial templates, she'll be the one shouldering the restart. And I tell you, she's not happy at all about getting into that prisoners' cart on the road to Helgen one more time. What, with the 5-minute cutscene and the dog-n-pony show that Alduin and company is going to put her through.

Girl's of a mind to start killin' folk.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

I have never gotten my ass handed to me in the fashion that I did today.

Forelhost. Felina at level 50. Master gameplay. Never seen so many draugr death-overlords in one...ONE...hallway. Like, 15 of them no joke. This goes down in the books as the toughest battle in my Skyrim history.

A place I've read such stories about, but have never been into (along with Frostflow Lighthouse).

Have you tried the alternate start mod? - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9557

It allows you to start your character in a myriad of different scenarios aside from the normal start(which is still an option) and if you want to start the main quest you simply head over to Helgen and sit back and watch the action. Some of the scenarios include starting as a bandit in a random bandit lair, start as the thrall of two warlocks having just snapped out of it, or throw your character in the freezing ocean on a sinking ship. It's pretty fabulous.

(You can also do normal things like be a patron at an inn or an initiate in a guild.. but.. meh.)

Oh man, that Alternate Start mod is awesome. I just restarted my cowardly Imperial vampire who wants to get cured and hates the undead. I made him a vampire using console command, used "you were robbed and left for dead" and had fantastic time scrambling to find any kind of gear and shelter from the midday sun. Now his story makes perfect sense, finally - he's a whimp, he doesn't want to kill anyone, he was just desperately searching for someone to help him when he ran into some bandits and there's no special destiny or dragons in his story so far. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one.

:D Ha, that sounds like fun! Yeah it's a perfect mod for custom, non-dragonborn characters. Also! You can create your own starting scenarios(I haven't tried that yet but I plan to). Found some info about it here and it sounds pretty straight forward - http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/ ... ther-life/

Guess it's time for me to update.

I have never done the Bohethiah's quest.
I have never completed The Forsworn Conspiracy
I have never collected all the stones of Barenziah
I have never destroyed the Dark Brotherhood
I have never sided with the Blades
I have never completed the Stormcloak side of the Civil War (Started, but never finished.)
I have never used the Fortify Restoration glitch. (I've used the hidden merchant chests and other exploits though.)
I have never read all the books (That would be quite the feat, lol.)

There's more I'm forgetting, but that should cover some of the major stuff.

I have never entered Mistwatch.

That dumb Frightened Woman* is the cause of it. She goes on about how she was imprisoned there and how I'll be a true hero if I stop them. That sets up in my mind the notion I should save up that quest for a later time, when I can really dig in for an epic quest of liberating Mistwatch from the grip of its vile denizens.

Then I get sidetracked.

* "There's a town in that direction. Do you need help? It's the city of Markarth, and we're right on the road leading up to it. No— you're going the wrong way. Miss— you're running away from the city. You heading to Karthwasten instead? Alright, I'll follow you and see to it you reach that decidedly smaller safe haven. And.... you just passed the road leading up to Karthwasten. Ummm, that's Broken Tower Redoubt ahead. There's a rather unfriendly woman on the road ahead who will not help you. Yes— that woman. The one who is killing you now."

Same with the book thing, but for me, that was more lack of skill/time than by choice.

Just got reminded by another thread here:
I've never had a Dead Thrall, nor any other thrall, not even on the characters who specialized in Conjuration. I got the Master spell with my Breton witch, just never got around to using it.

I've never killed Paarthunax.

I've never, ever, EVER roleplayed as someone who liked or was even neutral to the Thalmor. Even my characters who fought for the Empire.

Come to think of it I've never sided with the Stormcloaks...

I've never completed the Empire side of the War. I completed Stormies, but that was my first playthrough when I was still so young and naive

I've never been Guildmaster.

I've never gotten all the shouts. Not all the words, I mean; I've never gotten all the first words. Ever.

I've never worn heavy armor past level 10.

I've never used a two-handed weapon.

I've never played an Orc or Dunmer. Well, scratch that. I got a Dunmer out of Helgen, but I deleted the file because I wasn't feeling it. As for Orcs, I've never even screwed around with the sliders like I have for every other race.

I've never not used the console.

I've never destroyed the Dark Brotherhood. I either avoid Aventus like the plague or jump into murdering with gusto.

I've never gone straight to High Hrothgar when I get the quest to do so. I dunno, it seems like the perfect opportunity to fart around.

I've never gotten all the Daedric artifacts. I always miss Vaernima's because I can't bear to kill Erandur.

I've never not used a mod.

I've never ridden a horse for more than five minutes.

I've never married or adopted a brat.

I've never not leveled Sneak.

I've never gotten all the Stones of Barenziah.

For that matter, I've never pronounced it Bear-EN-zai-ah. I refuse to. It's BEAR-enzii-ah! *shakefist*

I have never sprinted.
I have never made or used a potion or enchantment that increases Stamina or Stamina Regeneration.
I have increased my Stamina when leveling up (especially my first character), but I feel silly doing so because I never watch the meter nor care when I run out.

Whut?

I have never completed the Stormcloaks
I have never gone past lvl 5 with a Khajiit, Argonian, Orc, Bosmer or Imperial.
I have never completed a Magic Mastery Quest
I have never used any shouts other than Unrelenting Force, Dragonrend, Fire Breath, Frost Breath and Whirlwind Sprint.

It's true. I played for over a year before I even knew the command was available. I died some, but I suppose it also made me more cautious. I was complaining to a friend that Stamina is only useful for increasing carrying capacity, and he said "Don't you ever sprint?" I tested it out, but I guess my combat habits were pretty well set, because I never remembered to use it.

I can understand that. It took me more than a year to figure out that a true dual-wielding attack came by tapping both triggers simultaneously, rather than mashing one then the other and alternating between both weapons.

Also, since sprinting doesn't seem to be available to NPCs and monsters, it seems a bit like cheating.

I have never...
1. Played as a Khajiit or Orc
2. Finished the main storyline (no further than learning my first shout and I have one save with well over 200 hours!)
3. Gotten all the dadric artifacts (something always glitches) or dragon priest masks -_-
4. Read every skill book, got every house, and found all the learnable enchantments
5. Finished the dawn guard questline (about to do it)
6. Killed the brotherhood
7. Not used the muffle trick to level up or used banish enchantment to get rich
8. Gotten all the perks and ritual spells
9. Regretted spending hours upon hours doing non-quest stuff like alchemy, enchanting, smithing, building and decorating my houses, and shopping or become jaded to how beautiful it is.
10. Understood cooking
11. Played it on a PC (I have PS3) or played any of the other elder scrolls games
12. Let annoying non-esential NPCs who are not tied to quests live long
I'm not speaking in tongues. I just can't smell to shave my wife!

I've never played the DLCs, even though I have over 300 hours logged into the game..

I need to get on that. Eventually.
