I was thinking Photo 1 might have been Volunruud too, as that was a more recent one.
Ancestor Glade and Valtheim Towers! That's great - thanks!
I think 4 and 6 are going to be near impossible to name, as the photos are too generic, but you never know -some of the die hard Skyrim fans know some specific stuff!
Photo 3 reminds me of the dungeon where 4 of those beaky statues rise out of the water when you enter this particular room. Don't remember the name of the place or the related quest. Sorry.
EDIT: Then again, it might be a different dungeon I can't name, but the water here is deep enough to submerge in, and there's a sunken Chest under the bridge.
Hope these vague descriptions might help someone else remember the correct name.
I don't think I've come across a place with statues rising from the water. I think there may have been some weird small bluey orbs that followed you around in the Photo 3 location, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for the input, Evil-i!
Edit: Upon remembering the orbs, I did a google search and they were in Yngol Barrow -then searched for 'Yngol Barrow Bridge' and found other pics the same as mine.
Taking a stab at 4, it might be Dead Men's Respite. I seem to remember "bone chimes" being quite common in that dungeon, because they're usually more common in "live" dungeons than Draugr dungeons.
In 6, if that's an iron door in the photo, that might be the rear exit to Ysgramor's Tomb.
I had a look at Dead Man's Respite Puzzle Door and unfortunately it doesn't match the pic (no beak statues and fire pits are in a different place).
I'm not sure where you mean for the iron door in Photo 6? I think it was just at the top of a mountain -I remember killing a dragon there and the map compass notes it as a dragon lair location.
That dark arch to the left in the picture might be an Iron Door. The back door of Ysgramor's Tomb allows access to a Dragon Word Wall, and your Compass shows a Dragon Icon in about the right location.
Yes, it does look like the location where the Ysgramor's Tomb word wall is actually. The terrain looks good.
The only thing that doesn't tie in though, is that the Tomb is just the Nordic Ruin symbol on the map -there is no dragon lair symbol, and non nearby either, so this seems to put a dampner on it being the Tomb.
Looking at dragon lair locations, the only snowy ones seem to be Shearpoint, Eldersblood Peak and Ancient Ascent. Maybe one of these?
Photo 1 looks like Shriekwind Bastion. I went through there recently (for the first time, incidentally). Edit: Then again, I don't think it has that downward slope.

You needn't doubt yourself, Zephyr. I looked up Shriekwind Bastion on a youtube clip and you're right! The photo location is right through one of the gates in a room with three pull handles on the ground.
Thanks Mauin! That's a keen eye you have there - I didn't think anyone would be able to figure out where that one was.
Well, it looks like all the photo mysteries have now been solved! I've not checked out Mount Anthor yet but it's more than likely that it's the place in photo 6.
Cheers to everyone who helped with their detective skills.
This was a really cool idea for a tolerable forum game, take a picture of a place in an ES game, and see if people can determine where it is. How would people feel if I made this a more permanent thing?

Not really a keen eye... More like I've been through most dungeons a few too many times and I've memorized certain features.
And #6 is Mount Anthor. It's the only Dragon Lair that looks like that. It's annoying, too... The dragon there always goes after the animals in the little rocky path above and to the side.
Edit:
The view from Mount Anthor:

I'm not usually a fan of forum games, but I'd be up for something like this.

I like this idea, but we'd have to agree on a few basic ground rules to keep things interesting and workable. For instance, a photo of a table with an Iron Dagger and a Wooden Bowl on it, followed by "Where is this?", wouldn't be solvable. The photos should be broader and grander, like the OP's original photos.

Straight screenshot , no ENB's. Did wait for good lightning though.
