I have just spent an uneventful Sunday afternoon searching for the 12 "oddities" that are required for this quest.
I have managed to find 3 of them. These include a) The Blind Watcher's Eye, b) Deformed Swamp Tentacle and c) Hound's Tooth Key.
I realise that some of the others depend on completing certain sections of the Main Quest, but I'm tearing my hair out with the rest.
I have searched high and low for the "Dagger of Friendship", having looked in almost every location suggested in the Prima Guide.
Has any one else had any measure of success with this quest or are you on the point of giving up like me?

Re: Shivering Isles: The Museum of Oddities
Well I know of one item - the Pelvis of Pelegius(?) is in that ruin where those acolytes of light are (those with purple and shining robes), it should be somewhere in their quarters.
The two weird items: Calming Pants and the Ring of Disintegration should also count as oddities, just steal them back once you complete the quest for that paranoid khajiit woman.
Also there is a ruin (I have no idea which one) with a cremation device - there are lots of dusts there and one particular labeled. dust is also an oddity.
There is also that ring which makes the wielder unequip everything but can't recall where I got it.
I tried but never completed the quest

Re: Shivering Isles: The Museum of Oddities
There are only, ("only" I say!), 12 items and those items that you suggest stealing back from a previous quest aren't included in the list. Have a look at the Wiki page:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:The_ ... _Artifacts
There are several items that are not included in quests so they can be found relatively easily. There are several that are included, so in theory I should be able to pick them up during the associated quest. It's the one's that are randomly spread into what are termed "containers" with no clue to whereabouts.
The Wiki warns that it could take a long time to find them.
I'll keep going for a while longer, but for the sake of completion, can someone remind me of the code that I have to enter to bring these into existence using the console? That's the point where I give up!

Ah yes you're right, those two items I said to steal aren't relevant to the quest, I guess I mixed up something...
Oh and I'm pretty sure pelagius' pelvis is on a table (or) in a display case.

If you click on the name of each item you still need, it'll take you to the page that lists the ID code for that object. That's the magic of wiki (which should not be confused with the magic of wicker— as it's not all that magical, in truth)Frodo-Baginses wrote:... Have a look at the Wiki page:

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: Shivering Isles: The Museum of Oddities
I've managed to sort it out now - many thanks!
I've only got the one item to find now, (i.e. "The Pelvis of Pelagus"), which is related to another quest anyway.
It was getting extremely tedious hunting everywhere and I really want to finish this game up now.
