Dogs in chorrol
Because I am a very bad person, I decided to shoot the Bruiant family dogs in Chorrol to see if their owners would freak out (they didn't). I saved the game beforehand because I am also cheap and a big coward, so I didn't want a guard to yell at me and charge me ten gold for my heinious crime.
Anyway, I reloaded the game and went back to being a law abiding adventurer, left town and fought some goblins to boost my armor rating, and came back to find one of the dogs dead in the street near to where I killed it (but with the reload, I never killed it.) The official wiki says that Rimaulus Briant has a screw lose and sometimes attacks his wife and dogs. Anybody ever witness this? Is there any other explaination for the dead dog?

Sheogorath rains flaming dogs on the cat people ... but none of those dogs are named Bailey.

Re: Dogs in chorrol
Reloading a game doesn't work well in Bethesda gamebryo games. In the past I noticed I did a quicksave, opened a closed door and then reloaded the quicksave. Upon loading the game, the door was still open while it was closed when I saved the game. It might very well be possible the problem goes away when you quit the game to desktop, start it again and reload the save just before you attacked the dogs.

Re: Dogs in chorrol
That would definitely fit what happened, but that seems like a serious problem when the death of NPCs are involved.
There is something similar to what you describe in the trap door exit chamber at Ceyatatar. If you reload the auto save after entering from the trap door in the forest, the door to the main chamber is open, whereas when you originally enter, the door is closed.

Same as when you die: Never trust that all the game pieces get put back in their original starting positions when it auto-loads from your last save. Safer to exit to the main menu and reload from there.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

For reference, to be sure quit the game to desktop and start the game again. There was a pretty good discussion a while back from one of the makers of the unofficial patch (if I remember correctly). Reloading basically works fine as long as you don't reload in the same cell as where the last save was. Frequent quicksaving and quickloading is also a common cause of save corruption.
