"We could cause a distraction from within the city or sabotage their defenses." Selena had been thinking about alternative plans and came to the conclusion that sabotage and stealth was a key factor to taking the city. "But it'll be very risky and to be honest, i do not believe our chances of success would be high. But how risky would it be to set fire to the sewers? It would force them to deal with it and hopefully, prevent any innocent lives being lost." She had aquirred the Elwind and Elfire tomes a few hours ago and believed that she would be more effective however, she was unsure if Elwind was capable of putting out fires caused by Elfire.

Daud threw up his hands. "What is it with you and setting fire to cities?!" He shook his head. "Not an option. Naga forbid someone should be...doing their business, at the time."

He shook his head again. "As...unpleasant as it is, I would agree with Ned's suggestion--the sewer tunnels could get our party into the city unnoticed, and we can engage the Ormicans from inside the city walls. Perhaps take out their leadership. Force a surrender."

"Selana, why are you making me agree with Daud? I think it was pretty obvious I hated doing that. Setting cities on fire is a bad idea, Ned's idea is much more practical anyway and easier to execute." Gale sighed disdainfully after his comment, still his hopes of getting to dissect the finned man were high.

"I don't actually know why i keep insisting on setting fire to cities. I'll confess that i have no experience in planning attacks but i think I may have a plan for dealing with the Pegasus knights. I have Elwind, which is a more powerful wind spell. I think I can make it diffcult for them to fly and give our archers time to shoot them down. If there are any wind mages with Elwind, We could focus on them alongside with our archers. But we would be vunerable and our role would be limited to how long we would be able to cast our spells before draining our reserves." Selena hoped that Elwind was strong enough to wreak havoc on the flying knights or at least, cause them enough harm to stop them from devestating the rest of the prince's forces.

Kasumi

The tactician rolled her eyes at Selana's suggestion. "No fire." she stated bluntly. "Only use fire when everyone must die. Not our goal. Sewer ambush, however... risky, but much opportunity to cause chaos. Entrances all over city, unlikely to be guarded. Would need to send a small team, reach the base of operations and attack while main force holds the attention of the main gate."

"I volunteer to join the main force at the city gate," Daud said confidently. "I may be of better use there, than inside the city, but if you think otherwise..."

"I'll go with a team through the sewers, preferably one that that isn't comprised of blundering idiots who'll give themselves away the second we enter." said Ned. Ned hated sewers, you'd be surprised how often someone in his line of work has to go into them, it's ridiculous. Most people avoid them with good reason. They're cramped, they're dark, they're full of all kinds of crap both figuratively and literally. Ned would be having a bath after this battle.

Isaac, Kasumi

"I'm in favor of this plan." the prince stated, looking at Kasumi. "An unexpected infiltration will hopefully tip the battle in our favor. But who to send, save for the obvious?"

Kasumi pointed at Ned. "Obvious one. Thief, knows way around things such as these. Naomi as well." she said. "More skilled soldiers must attack front gate. You as well, Isaac. Enemy needs to be aware of your presence on the front lines or things will seem amiss."

Isaac nodded and looked to the others. "Then those skilled in heavy fighting while mounted can join our frontal assault. They will be more comfortable there than in the sewers. We should send someone of no small skill in the sewers anyway; insurance, so to speak."

Nodding in agreement, Kasumi scanned their options. "Varos. Go with sewer team. Need your blade when the surprise is sprung."

Varos

The wizened swordmaster nodded with his usual fare of solemn obedience. "As you command. I shall not fail you."

The prince looked next to Daud. "Daud, my friend, you performed bravely at the battle in the valley. I would not send you into the danger of a front-line skirmish should your wounds still ail you. I owe you that much."

Daud gave a respectful bow. "My wounds are healed well enough, thank you, my prince. I am fit to fight, and would be most effective at your side at the city gates--though if you prefer to send me into the sewers, I would defer to your judgement."

He rolled his shoulders, and winced, though the brief flicker of pain was unseen beneath his helmet. "I would guard you, as I should--needed to be in the thick of things lately, but a frontal assault is especially dangerous. I can deflect any arrows or blows sent your way."

"I want Gale with us. He's good and we could use a mage." said Ned. Ned looked at the Dark Mage awaiting a response. Ned actually felt like he was building up a good rapport with Gale.

"I'll go with you Ned, I can probably waft the smell away from us too, no telling how bad its probably going to be." Gale wasn't fond of sewers, but if trudging through human waste was the path to victory, who was he to object.

Silas, Ririka, Alora, Isaac

"I'm going with you, Isaac." Silas affirmed, placing a hand on the prince's shoulder. "And hopefully I get to cut down anyone sending arrows at you before Daud has to intercept them. Or you could just learn to dodge them."

Ririka gently shoved Silas' hand off of the prince's shoulder. "He's quite capable, don't you know. I'm going too, by the by!"

"As am I." Alora mentioned. "After all... A pegasi would hardly be comfortable in the pits of a sewer."

The prince smiled at those volunteering to help him at the gates. "Thank you, all of you." he said, looking again to Daud. "If you believe you are fit to participate, then I will not stop you. Just be careful, please. Be there some sort of grand duel to decide the fates of the battle; something I doubt we will get with anyone other than the Indartians; let Faye handle it."

"I will go with Ned. My magic along with Gale will be more effective in the sewer and if we need to cause a distraction or sabotage their defenses, we would be adept at doing so." Selena spent the past few minutes mentally debating where to go and believed her magic would more effective in the sneaking mission instead of open warfare. She did not like the idea of wading through human waste but if it meant preventing more loss of life, so be it.

"Just hold the fire Selana, not of all us like a sewer igniting in an explosion because someone thought using fire an area of concentrated human waste was a good idea." Gale was hoping Selana would act like a meatshield, but sadly it wasn't his birthday yet.

Kasumi

The tactician smiled. Isaac was learning, as was she.

"I like him." she mentioned, pointing to Gale. "Understands properties of gasses."

Cael

The archer strided over next to Ned and the others. "To the sewers with me as well. I'll be out of dang- Er, that is, I will be more effective there once we get into the city."

Daud grinned under his helmet. "No promises there, my prince. I'll do what I must to serve, even if it means getting lanced in another duel. But hopefully, that won't be necessary, this time."

He cleared his throat. "I think that's about it, then. We have the base of our unit for both missions, and the others can split into either group as suits their capabilities...no horsemen in the sewers, and so on."

"I am perfectly aware of what happens when you ignite a gas in a tight space and i intend to use wind magic against anyone that we end up fighting in the sewer." Selena wondered if she would be able to use the waste as a weapon with her wind magic and hoped that they would not encounter any fire mages in the sewer.

Kasumi

"With luck, won't find anyone in the sewer. Want you to abandon the plan should they know we're coming." Kasumi demanded, crossing her arms. "Sewer is just the entryway. With luck, will go unnoticed."

Isaac

"We have our plan and we will see to it that it is carried out." Isaac concluded. "We will make our move soon. I hope you are all prepared. Should you have a question, see Kasumi or myself. Until then, dismissed. Thank you for the use of your home, Mayor Torm."

The mayor nodded with a smile, happy to simply be safe.

Daud crossed the room to Kasumi. "So, where will you be? Sewers? Front gate? Or here?" He cleared his throat. "You know you're not...obligated to fight. I know you have your reasons, and Prince Isaac has his, but things would be...safer, if our prince and our tactician were off the battlefield."

Kasumi

Kasumi tilted her head. "Please, Daud. Sword skills more than adequate. Can handle myself." she said, with an almost scolding tone of voice. She knew Daud meant no offense, but she had worked for a long time to get where she was. "Isaac... Must adjust to position of Commander-in-Chief. Won't do that by standing around and being a pretty face for the soldiers. Needs to get his hands dirty, so to say. Won't learn otherwise. Must simply protect him while he does so."

Selana walked out of the room and looked for a washroom. "Greetings, could you tell me where the washroom is?" She smiled at the young servant after finding her. "Certainly, Madam, it's just down the hall to the right. Would you like me to draw you a bath?"

"That won't be neccessary but could i have a bucket of cold water and a clean cloth? I appriecate the other for a bath but i do not need one."

"Certainly,Madam."

Selana found the washroom and lowered the robes below her previously injured shoulder. She did not have a chance to give it a proper wash and she knew that the sewer could result in infection so she decided now was the perfect time to tend to it.

Gale still a little annoyed at the prospect Selana would joining him with Ned in sewers waved to Ned and found himself a sofa in the hallway. He collapsed on it promptly fell asleep like a log, setting a mental timer to wake up in an hour.

Ned let out a sigh of annoyance when Selena said she wanted to come with them and put his hand over his eyes for a few seconds. When he mentioned blundering idiots who'd give themselves away he was referring indirectly to her. He pointed at her as she left the room and talked to Isaac. "If she's coming then she stays behind me and does what I say. I don't want her screaming or running out or blowing us up or doing anything else that'll get us killed." said Ned.
