Purple (ie shock spells).

spells can't be mourned
red = fire
blue = frost

Is it Helvard?Regardless of which faction ("Red" or "Blue") runs Falkreath he remains the Housecarl and after you kill him no one really gives a [&@%!] (never mourned).

Friendlies appear blue and enemies red. (Not sure about the 'mourning' reference though)

Nope.
They can be purple or yellow as well as red/blue, so I would've somehow included those colours in the riddle. :)

The anonymous/unknown Ancient Traveler at Wayward Pass? There are some red and blue Mountain Flowers scattered around there.

OK, hint time:
There's a reason the riddle says "never mourned" before the "red or blue" part and not the other way around.

The answer has nothing to do with the DB, or any other faction for that matter. OR... I could say it's loosely related to one faction, but that would just lead you to another wrong track. :)

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
