Maps/parchments for locations

Post by Wariamu »

Can someone explain to me the purpose of those parchment found on monsters that indicate locations? When you pick them up it states that your character writes down the location of "x" place and it doesn't say in which region it is found. So I just assumed it would be in the same region as where it was found but it seems not because I can't find it using the "find" tool in the world map.

Anyone knows how this works? :S

Yeah, it'll be in the same region as far as I know. It always was for me.

Every time I found one I always wrote down the dungeon name on paper so I wouldn't forget it. If you know the name of the dungeon you can search for the name in the world map. I always do.

I don't think there's an actual purpose for those maps and dungeons other than for the sake of exploration.

Edit: I searched the wiki but the only thing I could find was this: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Traveling and this: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Maps

I couldn't find a list of dungeons. I don't think there is one. :s

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but that's all I know for now.

Are you absolutely certain you spell the dungeon name correctly? Sometimes the names are very confusing to spell properly. You can actually type a part of the name in the search, or turn off the display of other places on the map except for dungeons to make it easier.

Also you can zoom in on the map by right-clicking on it, which could make it somewhat easier to spot places.

Thank you I found most of them! You were pretty helpful really. I had to search the whole name of most places to find them. Some I couldn't find at all for some reason but that doesn't matter much.

And thanks for letting me know it's possible to zoom in the world map. I didn't know that.
