Problem with a cheat

Post by Snake »

I'm running Daggerfall patched to 213 along with 2 unofficial patches. I also have a few other unofficial patches installed but they shouldn't mess it up I don't guess.

There is one cheat that I can't get to work and it's the cheat that gives you 5000 gold by pressing CTRL-F9. It just will not work.

All the other cheats work fine though.

Instead of pressing CTRL-Fn I have to press it backwards, meaning Fn-CTRL.

Anyone else had that issue and know how to fix it?
I don't need it but it'll be nice.

Its something to do with DosBox. That one command kicks me out of the game. I just use the teleport in dungeons one myself since it works and I hate the dungeons lol
What is more beautiful than the face of your god yet more wicked than a demon's forked tongue? Dead men eat it all the time. Live men who eat it die slow.

That's because Ctrl + F9 closes DOSBox.

You can use the built-in DOSBox keymapper (activated by pressing Ctrl + F1) to map the F9 key to something else on your keyboard while in DOSBox.

Or, you can disable the Ctrl + F9 key binding altogether, again through the keymapper (perhaps an easier workaround). Just select the Shut Down command in the keymapper and delete the current binding. You can then assign some other key combinaiton to it (it's always handy to have a way to shut down DOSBox with a keyboard command).
