Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
So yeah my laptop has been busted for the last few days and I have little knowledge to when it will work again. Till then I won't be able to hold much of a presence. I may be able to pop by via mobile but there is little I can do as of now. >_<

Yes! My plan to vaniqush the foul cake from the forums has worked! Ahem, i mean....
It really does suck that your laptop is broken, Beta and you will be missed for UESP needs it's cake. And it's copy of the Atarri game B17bomber. But i do hope you'll be able to pop in on your mobile every now and then. Untill, then I wish you luck with your medical course and hope you'll have a lot of success.

A zombie may have awakened, not quite sure yet, but after a plausible pause I've noticed an urge to start TES again. Cheerio.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hello!
I've been using the Wiki for well over a year now, but only very recently discovered this forum. Decided to sign up even more recently, and here I am.
I have to say, I never would have become familiar with the TES world if I hadn't gotten Skyrim as part of a package deal when I bought my 360. That was in January 2013, and I've been totally hooked ever since. I couldn't bring my Xbox with me for summer 2013, so I got first Daggerfall, then Arena, and finally Morrowind instead. Was surprised my laptop could run Morrowind; it was a pleasant surprise.
During Christmas break in 2013-2014 I got (with financial and technical help from my family) a gaming PC. I had bought Skyrim Legendary edition off the Steam Christmas sale before we'd even ordered the parts for this PC.
I just hit 2000 hours on Steam... needless to say, I haven't really been playing anything except Skyrim. Mods have made the game even more awesome than it was.
I still play my 360 version every now and then - like while waiting for a 31-day world reset to finish on my PC version.
Even though Skyrim was my very first TES game*, I found Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion to be great games as well. I never really got the hang of Arena; perhaps someday I'll go back to it.
* Unless you count the time several years ago, when my friend and I created Dolores Umbridge (from Harry Potter) in Oblivion, which she had on PC.

Welcome to the Shivering Isles, Chadonraz! Please feel free to pluck out someone's eye or play the guitar with someone's guts or try the cheese.
Predictable silliness aside, I hope you'll end up enjoying your time with us and feel free to ask us any questions about any of the games or the lore or the entire franchise in general. We have a subforum for each and we are a helpful bunch.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hello everyone!
So I finally joined the forums. Been checking UESP for a long time now.
I'm Claudia, 27, from Romania. I went to film school, cinematography major. I'm currently a freelance photographer/videographer and more recently also a self-taught graphic designer. I'm an atheist, an animal and human rights activist. I think I'm mostly introverted but have a sanguine temperament. I'm a philomath, I enjoy reading non-fiction books from various fields. I'm a mystery fiction enthusiast, I just love books, video games, tv shows, mostly everything that involves crime puzzles. I'm a cinephile. I own a cat. I'm vegan. And, ofc, I'm a gamer..
The first TES game I ever played was Morrowind, 12 years ago. The game felt freakishly creepy, the music, the dunmer, the whole environment, and yet, it made me fell in love with the Elder Scrolls universe. The whole game was mesmerizing. So after that I played Oblivion, and then Skyrim, and now ESO. The more TES games I play, the more I love it.
So.. as if all this info wouldn't be enough, if you wanna know more about me I'll probably be posting more on the other interests topic.

Hello to all new users! I hope you enjoy your time here!
MissKokane, that's rather up front, I like that in a person! I hope to see more of your posts.
Silk'har, there's no such thing as a perfect list of mods. After all, you eventually can't run anymore mods consecutively

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Greetings and salutations!
Just signed up on the forums a little while ago, so I thought I'd post here. I've been browsing UESP for years though.
I'm Darkelfguy, 25, from the Midwestern state of Missouri. I'm a graduate in Computer Science with a Minor in History, as well as a great interest in the fields of literature. I'm agnostic and generally supportive of humanist and liberal movements. I love books, pretty much of all genres from non-fiction to sci-fi, and fantasy to history. My personal library includes over 500 books, and I'm always a sucker for a good story, whether fictional or real, and I do greatly enjoy classical literature as well.
As for TES, my first Elder Scrolls game was Morrowind in 2002, and I've more or less been playing it ever since. I've also played Oblivion, Skyrim and ESO for a spell, but it's always Morrowind that I go back to at the end of the day. I originally joined the Morrowind Modding Community in 2003, and have continued releasing mods for that game over the last eleven years, though I've never made a very great quantity. These days I've been focusing more on working on "Morrowind Modding Showcases", a show designed around the idea of introducing mods to a wider audience, including newer and older players, since people often forget that, even after 12 years, the Morrowind Modding Community is still a very active scene and worthy of attention.
Anyway, that's all I have to say about me. I'm sure I'll be making a few posts here and there, but I'm generally a quiet lurker-type so I don't imagine I'll ever have the most impressive post-count, though I'll certainly try to help out with any Morrowind modding questions I see.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hi Darkelfguy. I read quite a bit myself, but fewer proper books nowadays. It's also always nice seeing people keeping the older games alive through modding, your efforts are appreciated by anyone who has ever gone back to one of the older games in the series and wanted mods to spice the experience up. Nice to meet you, and hope you stick around!
