Skyrim: Curse of the crappy potions after resto looping
I did the Restoration Loop exploit to get an item that increases my carry weight by like 2147455654646 points, and ever since I did that and took off my Fortify Alchemy gear, all of my potions are really, really bad. Before I did this, I could make Invisibility potions that lasted for 39 seconds, and now I can only make ones that last for 4 seconds. I'm on the PS3, but I could easily convert my save to PC format, and use console commands. How can I fix this? I tried making the skill Legendary to level it down back to 15 and releveling it, but that didn't help.

From the UESP article:
...anything over a value of 2,147,483,647 will register as negative number and the glitch will not work.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Just curious why does one need over a quadrillion in carry weight? Except for the attempt to pick up all of Skyrim and transport it to another province in the Empire , am at a slight loss as to the functional purpose of such an endeavor.Julum wrote:I did the Restoration Loop exploit to get an item that increases my carry weight by like 2147455654646 points,

As the expression goes, "Why does a man climb the mountain? Because it was there."Aurielius wrote:Just curious why does one need over a quadrillion in carry weight? Though, in this case, it's more like 'carry' rather than 'climb'.

I think you can give yourself any carry weight using console and save all the trouble.

It's not the destination, it's the journey. When my Dark Brotherhood archer obtains her signature bow, she can acquire like any other schmuck by purchasing a bow and enchant it with a store-bought Grand Soul Gem.
Or, she can mine the ebony from the top of the tallest mountain, create the bow herself at Skyforge, take the soul of a significant NPC via the Black Star, and fuse that soul into that bow in the depths of Blackreach.
You get the same item at the end of either method, but there is a certain charm in how you get there.
