I've never once failed to enjoy myself while playing Skyrim.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I have never bought any building materials for my Hearthfire homes, except for Glass and Straw, which are painstakingly rare finds as random loot. Even split my own logs for free.

I have never consumed Alcoholic drinks,
Never picked up a bottle of Skooma (come on 30 Septiums!? At least in Morrowind I could make money off of it),
Never gotten married,
Never adopted children,
Never played as anything other than Argonian,
Never killed Paarthurnax,
Never returned the Skeleton Key; it's just too dang useful, and
Never cured myself of Vampirism.

Both of Sibbi's related quests allow you to double-cross him.Dark Spark wrote:I have never carried through a quest involving Sibbi Black-Briar. Re: I have never...
The trouble with double-crossing someone is that you have to be nice to them in the first place. I wouldn't indulge him even that pretense.

To be fair, in Morrowind, Skooma was more than just a renamed Minor Stamina Potion.Vulokaazmaar wrote:Never picked up a bottle of Skooma (come on 30 Septiums!? At least in Morrowind I could make money off of it)

Also, I have never married a character to the opposite sex. All my characters, both male and female, are apparently gay or asexual :/

Re: I have never...
The following skills I have never gotten to 100 in Skyrim yet with any character:
Restoration (always levels the slowest in all these games)
Illusion (almost but no cigar)
The following skills I've never fully perked out yet with any character:
Lockpick
Alchemy (almost but no cigar yet)
Restoration (I have two characters who are close, but haven't leveled beyond 95.)
Illusion (again, almost but no cigar)
Across the ten characters I've leveled beyond level 35 before, I've covered every other skill, and every race at least once.

Re: I have never...
For real? Illusion levels up quicker that just about anything else. I keep Legendary-ing Illusion to dump perks into other skills. Spamming Muffle is dead simple and useful while adventuring, and you can go from Level 15 to 100 in a single game day. In fact, going from Level 15 to about Level 25 requires a single spell casting per level.Pilaf The Defiler wrote:The following skills I have never gotten to 100 in Skyrim yet with any character:

Heartwood Mill in the Rift is bugged for me. I get permission from Grosta to saw my own logs, but nothing gets added to my inventory. Actually, that Mill seems to be a bug magnet. I often get screen freezes around there, and when the drunken Revelers become unresponsive, they can usually be found standing around Heartwood Mill, doing nothing.rcbecker123 wrote:Yes it is pain staking at 10 logs a turn and sometimes it bugs and doesnt work.Evil-i wrote:I have never bought any building materials for my Hearthfire homes, except for Glass and Straw, which are painstakingly rare finds as random loot. Any other Mill I've tried always seems to work fine, even if the Mill Operator has to be tracked down and roused out of his house during regular business hours.

Re: I have never...
While doing the relevant Dark Brotherhood quest, an Afflicted Remnant came out of nowhere and killed both Hern and Hert (yes, 2 vampires couldn't defeat this guy). My original plan was to chop some wood for Hert and then stealth-kill Hern (yes, doing so results in Hert not being hostile to you), but because of that projectile-vomiting cultist, I'm forced to saw my own wood.

Re: I have never...
I have never failed in framing Brand-Shei for theft in "A Chance Arrangement", namely because I would reload if he caught me slipping Madesi's Silver Ring into his pocket.
Thus I never knew that, if you should fail in that task (get caught, pay a fine and have the ring confiscated), you can still join the Thieves' Guild no matter what.
Now that I found that out (after venting my frustrations with a stabby-stabby session in the market plaza), I can now join the guild and keep Brand-Shei out of jail.
In semi-related news, I was never sure you'd be penalized if you killed anyone at Goldenglow. Every time I was sent to the bee farm, the only human kill I ever exacted was the last guard facing the stairwell to the locked safe. And even then I would cringe at this violation of Thieves' Guild policy.
And then I finally talked to Aringoth. He mentioned 'worthless mercenaries' as if I'd just laid waste to everyone else in the manor (I hadn't— yet).
This time 'round, I rolled Cassie in to make a point finding everyone and killing them. When more mercenaries spawned on her way back up from the basement (ironically this was the only time she never ventured into the sewers, so nary a skeever was harmed) Cassie's thought wasn't "Oh no!" it was "Yayyy! More stabby time!"
Casandra is always riding this teeter-totter between her clinical professionalism as a Dark Brotherhood assassin and the impulsive, bloodthirsty vampire she used to be. Mind you, nobody likes riding a teeter-totter in the middle. It's boring.
It is a mark of pride for her to effect the quintessential stealth assassination where the only thing that was touched was the victim's heart— a death in the center of a crowd. But there's always the itch go in with 'fangs out' and embark on an orgy of destruction. She can do both, but is only happy if it is one or the other— there's no going halfway here, otherwise it'll feel like an incomplete job.

Re: I have never...
I have never gotten a pure mage to level 30. I get bored and either start anew, or give the character some combat or stealth skills. Also, I've never married a male NPC. I have had female characters, but I normally don't even mess with marriage at all. I'll let my character have fun living the single life, killing dragons and getting kisses from all the damsels.
Nothing is true, everything is permitted.
