"The burden shall be heavy but if all of the women are pleased and their moral are raised, i will endure it alone." Saroné smiled at the Tallin and knew that his trick had worked. "But all that aside, I would appericate knowing when it is safe and who knows, the duke may lend the crusade his aid if we make the templars regret ruining our robes and that [&@%!] king or emperor or the overcompensator is killed."

Eager to have some way healing herself or others, Aneira walked briskly collecting all ten in plain view. As she looked over the part of the she hadn't combed, she saw three more and collected those as well. Thoroughly satisfied with the flowers, she began to look for the ferns Kapas had mentioned.

Sarone & The Dude - Sandstorm
"Ha! A ruler of men aiding a war of elves? I wouldn't say that's too probable, my friend, even if we do show our support for him. The Duke has his own cause, and he couldn't be bothered by another that is so 'insignificant' to him." The Tallin looked up at Saroné, a slight grin on his face, his tone still slightly upbeat.

The Field
On the border of the forest, there were tall ferns, much like the size of the others, but their leaves were much smaller, significantly denser in their grouping. They had a slight blue shimmer in the moonlight. There were only about 4 within line of sight, each of which was nearly the height of Aneira's lowest rib, with three long stalks of leaves branching out of the ground.

"I do believe he has promised myself and the other unfortunate sods that those overcompensating bigots had captured, a boon." Saroné leaned against the barrel and smiled back at his fellow Tallin. "I could do the impossible and some would even dare say honourable thing and use my boon to get his aid instead of doing what most would kill for and using it to expand the business." He told the Tallin. "But don't let that get around otherwise people may actually start thinking that we merchants are capable of doing more then thinking of our coin! Imagine the sheer horror at the prospect of a merchant getting aid in the crusade! Worlds would be torn asunder, templars and mages would have sex, water and fire becomes the same thing and worse of all, merchants would become saints!" He joked to the Tallin to help maintain the light hearted atmosphere.

He believed that everything didn't have to be serious all of the time and was just passing the time. If it happened to make the tallin laugh, it would just be a side effect.

Aneira grabbed all the ferns of the description Kapas described them in sight and took a few more hidden behind some bushes or grass. Then she made her back to the legionnaire camp intent on acquiring a water skin.

Odhran approached the Jarvah's back, and held his sword to the opponent's neck. The Dunaan quickly began to saw back and forth, intent on severing the Jarvah's head.

[Baloth-Kul]

With a sigh reluctant, Baldric got up and followed Aneira.

As Aneira approached the entrance of the camp she saw Baldric ambling out, seeing nothing else to occupy her time she went to talk with him "So, how was the Kvurian Nightshade?"

[Baloth-Kul]

"Relaxing." Baldric said, a little sleepily. "A little uneasy, at first." He wasn't entirely sure he liked it, nor was he sure he didn't. It wasn't something he intended to partake in with any certain frequency, though.

"The stuff is made by Dramer, if you don't use it right it'll kill you as well." Aneira knew enough about it, but like Baldric it wasn't anything she would have with frequency.

As Baldric and Aneira approached the legion camp, soldiers could be seen scattered about, briskly walking between tent after tent. Some carried siege weapon parts, others carried whole bags of swords and axes, some even walked about with shuffled paperwork in their arms. Several seemed to be coming out of one large tent, holding various sets of equipment, including bracers, belts, and water skins.

The Duel
As Odhran clutched the Jarvah's head, the onlookers could see the look of horror and denial in his face. With the first cut of Odhran's shortsword, blood began to trickle out from the man's large neck like a brook, with the next cut it fractured his trachea and esophagus as the Jarvah began to gasp for air which would never reach his lungs. The third cut, stronger in weight, struck the spine, and with just a few more saws of the blade, bone cracked reluctantly, and the spinal cord severed, killing the Jarvah finally.
The head now sat, free of its body, in Odhran's empty hand.
The crowd of mercenaries was dead silent.

Hidden:

What you had was merely one drug slightly laced with Kvurian Nightshade, so it's significantly more potent. It'd be nuts to let you guys do the legit drug by itself this early in the RP.
Unless you wanna die, that is, then go right ahead.

"What are you here for?" Baldric asked. "Shouldn't've come here on your own."

[Derp53]

"Why's that? I my own person and even the Duke's man told us that the legion is a group of trained professionals, I'm here however by the will of my family's interests." Aneira's reply hid another meaning, but she did her best to hide.

[Baloth-Kul]

"And you'd just take his word for it?" Baldric shook his head. He half raised an eyebrow. "What does your family matter here? I would assume your 'former employment' would take precedence."

He tried and failed to suppress a grin. "Still amusing you became a prisoner yourself. A quick reversal of fortune."

[Derp53]

"I know Conrai's type, he wouldn't have lied to us about that, he has nothing to gain from it." Internally frustrated that she was being treated like a delicate vase everywhere she went she answered Baldric's next question like it was obvious "My family is my ruler, even of here I cannot abandon my duty to my mother, father, brother and sister. I'd be a terrible dunaan if I didn't treat family as more sacred than a Collective Deity in most situations. I don't mind the role reversal though, it got me out of a dangerous position, the task I had do there was paramount but I like to keep my head on my shoulders."

Saroné & the Guy
The Tallin looked over Saroné, saying rather upliftingly: "Maybe you could sway the Duke, you seem an awfully charismatic one." He looked away, toward the legion camp's many small campfires. "Perhaps I shouldn't be so hard on the man. Any liberation is liberation either way... but you can never trust a man's motive, when he possesses such power."

"It's kinda my job to sway people and if i can butter him up by aiding his cause, i will be able to convince him that aiding our people's cause will result in some goodwill for him and a powerful ally. Provided he isn't secretly plotting to become the new evil king of [&@%!]." Saroné looked at the sky. "Joking aside, i believe he is a good man that wants to free his people and if he sees that our people need help, he will join the crusade. Unless i'm wrong and he is actually a demon in disguise."

"Who knows. Truthfully, I don't know much about the man's past, I'm just unsure how to feel about him." The Tallin said, speaking a little quieter. "Perhaps it's just my own convictions, though. It's hard to tell nowadays, if I dislike a man for being a man, or because I sense he's a bad character..."

[All hail!]

"I'm from Túnsen." Luthais replied to the legionary.

Odhran held the Jarvah's head up high for all to see, facing the crowds around him. "You have seen what shall happen to those who cross me! Your leader has fallen to my hands, and my hands only! Leave. Leave this place and let your leader's body rot!" The Dunaan thundered to those around him. As he finished saying this, he threw the head out to the crowd, leaving it for the vultures that would soon be fighting over the carcass.

The Duel
The men near the thrown head scooted back in disgust, and the dead silence of the crowd reverberated across the fields surrounding. Several mercenaries onlooking began to briskly walk away in fright, and more and more began to retreat in fear, shock, and displeasure.

The Legionary Tent
"Oh, you are? I hear it's nice there." The crippled legionary responded, sounding as though he was in a great deal of pain. Suddenly, another legionnaire burst into the tent.
"The siege is about to start, the general wants to talk to you and your affiliates, kid." He was clearly speaking to Luthais.

The General's Tent

All the former prisoners were gathered in a large tent, containing a table cluttered with various maps and documents, and a man at its helm, lounging back on his shoddy wooden chair with his head buried in deep, logistical thought. As the group of adventurers arrived, he cocked his head up slightly to look over the group. After a good few seconds evaluating the makeshift soldiers, the general spoke loud and officially.

"So," his voice boomed, "you're the Duke's new catch, aye? We've figured out what to do with you lot... And you may not like it." The General leaned forward in his chair, putting his arms on the table. "You're going to infiltrate the fort before the siege. I can see doubt in your eyes already. Don't deny me, I warn you. Your aim is very simple. You are to rescue the son of the Duke of Túnsen, so that we may bring Túnsen to our cause. He'll be held in the dungeons, below the castle. You'll have company, too. Some scum mercenaries, the Black Axe Company, are looking for some artefact or another in there. And I'll send one of my own men with you, one who knows the lay of the castle. I don't care if you have any questions, ask him or someone else, I'm a busy man." The General said, before taking his eyes away from the group. It was clear he was finished with them.

[Baloth-Kul]

Baldric rolled his eyes after the general had looked away from them. Too important to answer our questions himself, hmm? He exited the tent to meet with the general's man.

Standing next to Baldric, Aneira shrugged left to meet the General's man, tired of standing around the camp talking to people.

"So we will just be sneaking into a heavily armed fort to rescue a duke's son. It'll be easy and we'll all be back in time for breakfast." Saroné followed the others to meet with the general's man as he adjusted his robes slightly.
