As of the time of this writing, the UESP has 36,734 articles and 37,550 images (our article creation pace has rapidly increased due to ESO, we're still trying to sort through it all). By my estimate, that's quite a lot. And that's an issue for a person like me who is supposed to try to keep up with them all.
So, out of curiosity, I am extremely interested in what your favorite articles and images are on the site. Not just because it helps us figure out what you guys enjoy by us, but also because it helps us draw attention to some good articles that might have slipped by us or we've forgotten about. If I agree that an article or image is of superb quality, I'll see about getting them featured status, if they haven't gotten it already. Don't feel like you can't share them if they've already been featured, though, I still want to hear want particularly interests our audience.
And to be entirely clear, part of the reason I'm posting this is to help ensure we have new featured articles and images, to keep the main page looking fresh and neat. This is a very time consuming task for an editor like myself, since we tend to focus on the pages that need to be improved upon, and not the ones that are already content complete. Which stinks since showing off the talent on our site is one of my favorite things, but it's hard to find the time for that and producing content for the site.
So to get this started, I'm going to do a major editor faux pas and say Skyrim:Unique Weapons is one of the my absolute favorite articles, even if I did make it. I love compilation pages that brings together a ton of different items into one page, while still allowing for more reading if you go to the actual article. Likewise, I love the Bloodcursed Elven Arrows, Nettlebane, and Blade of Sacrifice images. It was a ton of work to get those images done, due to the difficulty of finding good backgrounds, but I truly think it improved the shots. I also always loved this image because it has a super spooky skeleton wearing a hat, even though he's a skeleton and inside, so he doesn't need one. Lastly, Oblivion:Interior Test Cells will always hold a special place in my heart, since it was the first article I wrote on.
So please, share your favorite UESP articles and images, so we can learn better what you want us to produce, and show it off to the rest of the world if it's a good example of our site's abilities. Thanks for sharing, if you do!

Re: Best Articles and Images
My favorite article is this for no reason at all.
I also enjoy a lot of the Featured Images,
especially this one.
and sadly enough the Thalmor article.
Of course I've spoken on a lot of those things, so it's not really surprising that I like them.

Re: Best Articles and Images
Don't worry, this isn't the wiki, you can feel free to brag about your own articles here to your heart's content. I already did that, I'm not going to restrict anyone else from doing so.
And that's a very nice article Br3admax, thanks for sharing it. I remember starting off a giant rush to create a bunch of topic compendiums for Lore years ago, backed away from it, and saw so many talented editors take to lore to do what I had wanted to.

Re: Best Articles and Images
I helped explain all the options available to you for the battle of Cylarne in The Cold Flame of Agnon, so that one is bit dear to me.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Also like the Shor-Akatosh imagery going on in this one:
Reminds me of Oblivion.

For now I'm doing images, because I consider myself a better judge of visuals than of writing.

Re: Best Articles and Images
My favorite article is probably Skyrim Unmarked Places. It helps that I took a few of the images for it, ohoho~ (And a year ago today too.) It's hardly FA worthy, but anyway.
As for images, there's this one by Psylocke:
I'm a sucker for scenery.

Spoiler:
Everybody's dead now!
- very good lighting; the perspective shows the full scene, rather than what most players would see in ordinary gameplay, thus making it more interesting and informative
- honestly, this is just a cool picture.
- this picture is particularly good, in my opinion, because of the dark background and the focus on the item. Keening really stands out, and there's nothing to distract from it.
- this image was captured at the perfect moment; it looks exciting and dramatic with the centurion's hammer swinging straight towards the screen, and the lighting is good too
