Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
I first bought it in December 2011 for PS3.
Bought it again in December 2012 for Xbox 360 and downloaded all the DLC.
Bought all DLC for PS3 version in March 2013.
Bought Legendary edition for PS3 in June 2013.
And finally bought and downloaded a 67% discounted version via Xbox live marketplace only last week (July 2014).
If I had a PC instead of this netbook, then I would probably start this madness all over again.

Bought used X360 plain vanilla edition in summer 2012.
Bought new Anthology edition for PC a few months ago. Still haven't played Skyrim on PC. Been playing Oblivion on PC instead.
Plan to buy the Legendary Edition for X360 in the near future.

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
I had it pre-ordered in 2011 from the States. I also bought the Anthology, primarily because I had been holding off on buying the DLC items until they were all released in a single package (Bethesda also indicated that there would be significantly more substantive DLC than previous games, but we ended up getting roughly the same as we've always got - 1 expansion, 1 major quest DLC and 1 smaller DLC on par with Morrowind and Oblivion's many small DLC items).
I do have, however, 3 copies of both Morrowind and Oblivion. I was first given a copy of vanilla Oblivion by a friend, then I bought the GOTY edition of Morrowind and the Shivering Isles. I then picked up both at 75% on Steam, before getting additional copies in the Anthology.
All for PC, mind you, but aside from perhaps the Steam copies, I don't really feel that any of it was a particular waste. Getting the Anthology was only slightly more expensive than buying a copy of the Legendary edition of Skyrim.

I bought it on 11-11-11 for the Xbox 360 with all it's DLC then I bought it like 6 months later for the PC with it's expansions as well.
I spent a ton of $ on the game but damn was it worth it.

I bought it like a month after it originally came out and I later bought the legendary edition soon after it came out, as well (mostly since I don't have the internet to download the dlcs. Plus, discs are useful)
If I had a gaming PC I would probably rebuy the legendary version, though.

I've still only purchased it once when I preordered it as soon as it was available back in 2011. Same goes for all the DLC, which I bought on the very day they were released. Steam is a wonderful thing.

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
I've only bought it twice.
Once on PC back in December 2011. And then again on PS3 when the Legendary Edition was released. The PS3 purchase was more so I could have something to use my PS3 for since I didn't like any other game I had for it (Sims 3, something for Harry Potter, a Transformers game, and some racing game).

That's not an uncommon experience at all. For example, I've owned about ten separate editions of Oblivion.
Surprisingly, I only ever owned one copy of Skyrim, on the PC on launch day. I guess it goes hand in hand with getting rid of your consoles.

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
I first got Skyrim for the Xbox 360, and have had that one since the launch day. After that, I got the PC version when I started living between states, and then, when the Anthology was released, I of course sprung for that and now have a second PC copy.
I also have a 360 copy of Oblivion from the release date, a hard disk PC copy my brother got after we discovered mods, a digital copy I got because I didn't have the hard disk (again when I was more on the move), and the copy that came with the Anthology.
Also have two of Morrowind (maybe more if I count how many my brother has had over the years), two copies of Daggerfall, and two of Arena.

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
You're definitely not alone. I played this for the first time about a year after it first came out. Sold it once I completed the main quest. Went on hiatus for a while until I heard the DLC was finally being released for PS3. Finished said dlc's and sold it again. Fast forward until just recently when I bought a gaming PC. I bought the Anthology to try my hand at modding (it didn't go so well). Ended up buying the PS3 version AGAIN because some of the mods I installed screwed with my PC version of the game. I think I'll hang on to my PS3 copy from now on and leave the modding to the experts. That stuff is just too confusing for me.
Anyways, I have a grand total of 4 times I have bought this game.

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
Initially I got Skyrim as part of a package deal when buying my 360 (Jan 2013). Later I bought the Legendary Edition (for the 360), even though I had also bought all three DLCs separately.
Then, once it became certain I would have a gaming PC by early January this year, I bought the LE off the Steam Winter sale.
So, I've bought the game twice, or thrice if you count the package deal (I don't).

2 times here, when it first came out and then recently to get the DLC's,
just bought the game again (was cheaper and saved $15) instead of buying all 3 DL's,.
one think i found out, you can't change disks, you do and all DL stuff doesn't show up.

I as well own the complete version of Skyrim on two systems. My Xbox 360 has been done up piece by piece, bought Skyrim shortly after it came out (and an HDMI cable too,) and slowly got the DLC when they showed up.
After a long while, I actually bought the Legendary version of Skyrim for my laptop on Steam after getting the GOTY versions of Morrowind and Oblivion. I still play it far more then either of those two, unfortunately...

Re: Am I alone? I have bought Skyrim numerous times.
Depends on what you call "numerous". Namely, I bought the plain PC version (without DLCs etc) first to check the game out. Later I wanted the DLCs too, and went and bought the Elder Scrolls Anthology (for PC again). That was because I was also thinking about buying Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine for Oblivion, also, and the anthology set was some 20 euros cheaper than all the DLCs would have been singly bought. I already had Morrowind with expansions, so now I've basically bought the three latest titles two times.
