I spent a while writing earlier. I went from the end of the Oblivion Crisis all the way to the start with this character. It's not coming out right, though.
After spending the morning writing, I spent the afternoon cleaning fish tanks. The only one that didn't really need much for cleaning was the 20 gallon (which replaced the 10 gallon tank on the weekend).

I would've actually done more, but it's really bloody hot in here. My skin feels like it is burning. And it's only 30-something in here. Probably cooler outside at this point. Bah.

Some time after I had dinner, I decided to play some Spore. I think the only thing I did was make and share two creatures. Eh. I just really didn't feel like doing anything else.

Now... I would go to bed, but I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to sleep. It's just too hot. Far too hot.

Sorry to hear that, Lorenut. Prayers for you and your family.

Today I took the latter half of the work day off 'cause of an eye doctor appointment in the afternoon. Right before I left, I discovered a major bug - and we ship our product in two days. It should be fixable within that time - it's not a difficult fix once we've decided the logic behind how we want to do it - but anyway, I'm kind of proud for having caught that.

I booked the end of august off today to try to recharge myself. I've been getting headaches at random, feeling very tired at random and feeling like i have a cold at random and then feeling fine at random. I heavily suspect i have been overworking myself so hopefully, by taking a week off, i will be fully recharged. If not, I may be a bit annoyed.

I definitely did not sleep last night. It was too hot. Of course, it's still too hot. It's even hotter today than it was yesterday. It's 30 degrees in here, but with the humidity, it's feeling closer to 40. I'm not going to sleep tonight, either. Ugh. I really don't like hot weather.

Well... I spent most of the day writing again. I finished the origin story for Seryna (though I'll probably wind up rewriting it at some point) and then switched to the whole Hero of Kvatch thing. I think that one is going better. I have a fairly clear idea of the conversation Seryna has with Martin, so at least I've got that settled.

Once I got tired of writing, I went to my computer and decided to play some games. Eh. One game. Still messing around with Spore. Creating creatures doesn't seem to heat up my PC too much. Playing the game, on the other hand... Yeah. It's hitting 60 degrees in the Creature Stage. It usually runs in the low 50's. Even my PC says it's hot in here.

Bah. I would go to bed but, since it's so bloody hot, I think I'm just going to wind up looking for some decent Spore creations before I give up and retreat to my oven. My room. Hmph. The whole house is an oven. No air conditioning. Though... They actually had to request that people stop using so much electricity earlier. The power grids were being operated at full capacity and couldn't go much further.

I worked two of my jobs, I'm freaking exhausted! But I did have a really good day. Started it out with a yoga practice on our sunny deck (it got super hot and now I have a farmer's tan). The highlight of my day was a long walk I went on with my hubby. We went down a trail neither of us had been on, and I think we'll go back. It was pretty easy though, just a straight walk for a couple miles.

I also worked on some things for a couple clients, and made lots of money at the restaurant. Its been busy there this week with all this crazy sun we're having. Which...I'm very much over. One of the reasons why I still live in Alaska is because I prefer the cold. But I can't not go outside either. :D

Pretty chill day. Played Robocraft (which you should all look into) with @perisaloser all afternoon and now I'm chilling before work.

Found and captured two jurassic-sized spiders at work, one of which is a brown recluse. OF course the nature freak there thought it would be cruel to kill them (recluse had egg sac) and released them. He's cool and all but really? You would show mercy to that of which is incapable of returning? Not a kind heart, just stupid sometimes. Remember, this recluse was about 4-5 inch diameter. Small to some, infinitely huge to me.

I would have let them go... I have nothing against spiders. Aside from the ones that hog the toilet paper roll while you're having epic diarrhea in the middle of the night. Then they're a little irritating. Eh. I never ate rhubarb and strawberry pie again. Same reaction as eating too many eggs.

It's still really hot here. I haven't slept properly in days and tomorrow is going to be an early morning since my parents are going to visit my grandmother and pick up some things from her house. I'm going to be stuck looking after the dog for a few days. Bah. Never mind one early morning... There's going to be a few. If I don't get up early enough, the dog will start destroying things. I still think she should be in a muzzle.

Anyway... I spent most of the day alternating between writing and playing Spore. I didn't do much for writing since I was too tired to concentrate, so I mostly fiddled around with Spore. I released the final four primitive creatures for my current project, then created a mismatched creature (an omnivore with a different hand and foot on each limb; it had max stats) to mess around with in Creature Stage. I'm not sure, but I think this creature's homeworld is one of the Tentacle Storybook planets. It has the correct rocks and suction cup designs on the surface. It also comes complete with a cube planet in the same system, but that's not related to the storybook planets. If I'm right and this is a Tentacle world, then this'll be the first time I've managed to get a storybook planet as my homeworld.

I'd rather play Oblivion than Spore so I can finish leveling Seryna, but... It's just too hot. Still, Spore can be amusing.
Speaking of which... I saw one person upload a creation where they said they had some sort of "confession" to make. Me being me, I looked. They were whining and complaining about a bunch of stuff I'd rather not mention. My immediate impression was that they had to be a teen. I looked at their profile and, sure enough, they were a teenage girl. Looked like they were into the whole "emo" thing. This person also had her tongue sticking out and her middle finger up. My first reaction was, "Gee, how did I know?" The second reaction was, "You've got problems, kid. Therapy might be required. Either that or a lesson on how to behave. You aren't gonna last in the world like that."

Now... I think I'm going to go to bed since I'm probably going to wind up getting out of bed at 5am. It's after midnight already.

Yesterday I worked a normal day of work. Then, since it was the big deployment day for our software (they only have one this big once every, like, five years or more), we went back into work for 8pm. It didn't go as smoothly as expected - we planned on it being a late night already, but this was longer than that - so the non-essential ones like me left at 6, got about three hours sleep, and then went back into work (while the others pulled all-nighters and went home at like 1pm). It wasn't a real focused day overall today, as you can imagine, with everyone so low on sleep.

Today's been interesting: the people in the room next to me in the apartment, and the lady in the mansion next door, called the police on each other (she complains that they make noise and has taken it upon herself to swear at them and their small children basically whenever they come out on their balcony. And today they got into another shouting match.) A police officer stopped in and I told him what I've seen as a bystander.

A mod double posting? Thought Criminal!!!! kidding

Back from the hardware store and the lady at the checkout asked me who the guy on my shirt is/was. It's a black and white shirt of Bob Marley playing ping pong. She asked me if he was African American or white. I said he's mulatto and she went into the default white person thing of trying to explain she's not a racist it's just hard to tell. Not knocking her, nice lady and all I just take pleasure in watching people try hard to be as politically correct as possible.

Apparently my brother decided to come over here earlier to do his laundry... More like eat all the food in the house. We now don't have enough left to last until the end of the week. Especially milk. He stole an entire jug of milk leaving me with one that was nearly empty and no other jugs of milk. He took most of my planned breakfasts, too. Bah.

Anyway... Out of boredom, I decided to start watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Watched two of the three so far. Not in one day, mind. First one yesterday, second one today, third tomorrow.

Eh... I haven't really done much aside from care for the animals and the house. The dog refuses to eat, so... She gets her dinner for breakfast tomorrow. I'm not going to throw out another full bowl of dog food. It ain't cheap.

Speaking of the dog, I hear her scratching at the back window. I think I have to round up the cats, put them in their rooms, and then go to bed. It's late anyway. I have to get up early every day to make sure the dog doesn't destroy anything. Every time she makes a loud noise at night, I wake up. It's getting annoying.

Got my hair cut (finally), ate some Chinese food, ordered a bunch of random stuff on the internet and now I'm about to heat up leftovers. I love days like today where I can explain what I've done but the honest answer is I did nothing and accomplished little. I wish life could always be this way!

Went to the wedding of one of my best friends on Sunday. Had an absolute blast. Saw some old friends, enjoyed some good food, enjoyed many beers courtesy of the open bar and gracious hosts, danced for well over 2 hours straight, and most importantly I made many great memories.

I managed to [&@%!] off someone by daring to use manners! I popped into a charity shop during my lunch break and someone was in my way so i asked them to politely move by saying excuse me, please. They got annoyed about it by sighing. I could tell they were annoyed because of the tone of the sigh, if that makes sense. Since when did manners become an annoyance? Because i missed that memo.

I keep having internet issues and it's getting kinda annoying at this point.

The other day, I had no internet for the afternoon. I eventually got bored and went downstairs to look to find that something had shut off the power supply to the router.

Today, that same router is acting up again. Stuck with an error message most of the day. It's working now, but only after fiddling around with it for a few hours. This router sucks. I have never seen a router go down this much. Not even the one upstairs (which is ancient. At most, I have to unplug it and plug it back in because it's slowing things down for some reason). Bah.

So... Today, I spent the morning watching one guys ESO videos. I'm on part 90-something of his videos and he's only level 15. He's taking it slowly, though. He only plays this character while he is recording. I only wish he would pay more attention. He misses so much stuff. It's funny, in a frustrating-to-watch sort of way. If that makes sense.

Once the router decided not to cooperate, I switched to watching TV and writing. Didn't really do too much of either. Just too bored.
I went downstairs to work out for a bit, then came back upstairs to resume writing and watching TV. Still didn't get anything done. Still bored.

At that point, I gave up with the writing and went to play Oblivion. I had to install a mod that removed the restrictions on training so I could finish leveling athletics. I once stuck my character underwater swimming against a rock and then went to mop the floors... Half an hour later and her athletics skill had barely gone up by around 30%. If that. Even more fun was trying to level mercantile... I sold so much stuff the inventories were lagging. I now have to spend ages gathering more stuff to sell.

Eh... I think I might watch one more of that guys ESO videos before I go to bed. The part that I got stuck on when my internet decided not to behave.

Edit:
Never mind. I'm not going to be watching anything. My internet just went down again.

I got 4 days off this weekend to go hiking up north with my husband. But I sprained my foot somehow. Its swollen and I can barely stand on it. Did a yoga practice on it to stretch it out but that didn't help either. So we're not going hiking and camping is debateable. Just my luck.

I've been back on the diet again for a couple days now. It's really not that hard it just sucks having to actually cook and not eat things like pancakes. I think the key is simply accepting the fact that eating is now mainly about nutrients and not flavor and the pleasure of eating. That being said, I make damn good dinners but mixing up breakfast can be a real pita. Lunch is okay it's just that again, cooking takes time that I don't want to use up but I'm going for optimal human performance so I guess I gotta.

Last friday, my contract was offically extended. It's because of the way my apprenticeship work and i'll be in a job untill next august. I've been in a very happy mood since Monday for some bizarre reason and lost two rooms at work during the week due to the lock system going down.Annoyingly, we lost the damn kitchen which meant no tea and coffee.

Picked up Kill Bill V1 and 2. The Crowe Robin hood film and several short sleeved shirts for work and one for causal wear. That's pretty much it. Oh and been writing in the evenings.

Had to break things off with a friend. I've known him for three years but things had to end sooner later. He became more and more volatile? He just got upset about every little thing. You make a joke he didn't like and that would be all it took for him to flip out. I honestly think it's because he's just a bit of a drama queen. Which is kinda sad considering he has no friends... like literally. Not one. He's been rather open about that. You know things have gone to [&@%!] when he's saying totally random [&@%!] like 'You need to stop being like your friends and be your own person' which I guess is his way of trying to 'make fun' of the fact that I have friends..

Gah. To be honest I'm glad it's over, he was so friggin' high maintenance.

Apparently my internet issues are still persisting. It went down again not long ago. Had to fiddle around with the router again before it started working. The one up here, anyway. Couldn't get to the one downstairs. They've both got issues, though. I can kinda understand the older one having issues, but the newer one? Bah.

Anyway... I went shopping today. Tried some Oreo stuff at Tim Hortons and wound up making myself sick.
I also had to make dinner. Everybody else was busy, so I made chicken chunks and fries.

I did continue with Oblivion, too. For as long as I could. It's getting hot again, so... Back to Spore I go. Which is really great when the internet isn't working since I can't share or download any creations. Spore, being published (and ruined) by EA, is rather particular about the lack of internet... Meh. At least I got it working again.

Now I'm going to go to bed because it's after midnight. I'm actually not that tired. I doubt I'll be able to sleep anyway. This place is turning into an oven again.
