daedra summoning issue - any ideas?

Post by ernthorn »

I am at the mage's guild in Aldingbury, Menevia trying to summon Sheogorath on his day. When Sheogorath is talking to me the game gets stuck on the text asking wilt thou send someone an invitation to tea for me?. I cannot do anything to leave the screen. The music keeps playing so I don't know whats going on. Has this happened to anyone?

It's a bug/crash.

Run 'fixsave' on your saved game and then re-try.

Thanks for the reply.

I figured it out and I am just dumb I guess. You have to press the 'Y' key as in "yes, I accept the quest" then he will continue with the quest information.

I'm a bit dumb too - I assumed you'd tried pressing every key at random already.
Anyway, good luck with the Wabbajack! Turn even innocuous enemies into deadly liches...I never seemed to get the reverse happening, plus I wanted the loot!

Well good ol' Sheogorath was asking you a question, press the key "n" to say no, press "y" to say yes.
