Bromnar peered round at the people in the shop as he cautiously entered, following their gaze to where a man was lying at the foot of some stairs. The scene seemed to be fairly calm now, not as it had appeared a few minutes earlier when he was out on the street.

"Hey, what's going on in here? Are you lot robbin' this store? I ain't lookin for trouble mind -no need for anyone to go on the defensive!" he spoke with authority, but there was a slight nervousness in his voice. His dagger was still held tightly in his right hand.

Naragei turned towards the door when he heard Bromnar and stumbled backwards a bit, surprised at the sudden addition of an unknown Nord to the room. He quickly put his hand on his dagger and readied himself to unsheath it if things were about to get ugly.

Paras stayed on the ground to one side of the door, unsure of what was going on. He just knew that as soon as that door is open and no one was in the way, he'd be gone.

Bromnar looked at the group as he waited for a response. There were at least three people there, more possibly still hiding somewhere nearby, perhaps even waiting to pounce on him at any moment.

His eyes caught movement from a tall argonian, who had begun to place his hand on his dagger.

The situation suddenly seemed to be potentially very dangerous -what had started out as a heroic rescue mission had now turned into him simply being alone in a shop with a bunch of potentially hostile thieves. There was no doubt now that that was what they were -he could see jewels hanging out of one of their bags.

Bromnar lowered his dagger and took a step back.
"Listen, this is none of my business. I'll just leave you to it. Don't worry bout me seeing all your faces or nothing. I'm a thief too you know. A thief's business is his own and I know better to be pryin in another man's business."

He grinned anxiously as he slowly crept backwards towards the shop door.

Paras flicked an eyebrow up at what the Nord had said, but stayed pressed against a wall.

Raven sat still for a bit, continuing to finish her small meal. In a voice with disinterest and eyes looking a bit afar she spoke in a simple tone "I guess you could say I've been in this city longer than I'll care to admit.. plenty of fools and riches to pick from." Largely she didn't care much about talking about herself, even in a boastful manner. As far as she could dwell on is of how little she knew of her peers or the mess that she may be getting into with the Guild, she trusted neither and for good reason.

She finished her last bite and was nearing the end of her ale, she tilted her drink to both her companions "What of you two? First time within these walls?" Her mood was a bit more charming and inviting this time

"Nah, I kinda live here." Lalussa told the breton and the orc as she drank her ale. "Well, i say live, more like drifting from place to place whilst avoiding [&@%!] off the imperials." She told them both as she rested her feet on the table. She didn't feel like telling them her life's story but knew a few shortcuts in the city and was unsure if she could trust the orc or the breton. "City's full of rich pricks who won't miss the odd thing or two and some can't resist staring at a bosmer's features whilst she walks down the streets." She said to Raven and Maugrim.

"Then you both have me at a disadvantage." Maugrim said, downing a good bit of his drink in a single gulp, "I've only been in the city for a couple days. Haven't really had time to look around much."

"Speaking of disadvantage.. looks like I neared the end of my ale.." Raven said with an almost alluring voice. She began to remove herself from the gathering, grabbing her empty ale and plate in the process "If you two may excuse me.. I think I may grab myself another drink." She flashed the two a smile before making her way to the back of the inn near the bar.

Lalussa downed the rest of her ale and said "Sure but it also means that if we cock up, we are more likely to get recongised by the rich dicks with far too much coin and a small mind." She watched as Raven went to aquire another ale and observed her to see how talented she was in the art of theft. "However, being small does have it's advantages." She told the orc as she looked into the empty bottle of ale and believed that if Raven was caught, she could cause a tavern fight by throwing it at the biggest person in the tavern then use the orc to start the fight.
