I wouldn't be shocked if it was a bug, the console version is considerably more glitchy than the PC version of Skyrim.

If an NPC is talking to me as I pass by and enter a door, they will appear inside the new location with me before going back out again a second later. Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I've had a bandit walk through my door as I was fighting his buddies outside. He didn't follow anyone in, he just went it. I followed and he ended up decapitated in my great hall. I've also had bandits spawn...well, IN my house, they were stuck in my house in the exterior cell. Unable to do anything, I went in, did what I needed to, and when I came out, bandits were attacking, my kids, wife (yeah), steward, housecarl, and Meeko run out for...who knows what reason. They killed Meeko, I reloaded without a second thought.rcbecker123 wrote:Enemies arent supposed to go in your house but I have had bandits follow me and my companions in a house. Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I've had this happen to me as well, once a bandit get's in your house it tends to respawn in your house as well if you don't regularly visit the said house to reset the respawn counter.
Thankfully I married Mjoll the Lioness who can't die so even if she get's downed she can never actually get killed.
Also, yeah... sometimes enemies spawn inside the walls of your house or like... I'll be walking around the outside of my house and my housecarl will be circling a red dot that is seemingly inside my house and I can hear the bandit taunting me but it's not there and unreachable.
Still, eventually this problem disappeared for me.

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
it's annoying but rare, I still wish it would be fixed though obviously. My main problem with Skyrim are actually the infinite loading screens I get on occasion which are still a minor issue. Also certain quests like the one for Keening/Blood on the Ice/Marriage in Skyrim are very fickle and I make sure to save before attempting them.
The game is still very solid, at least I don't have silt strider npc's disappearing/dying (looking at you Morrowind).

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
Could be my imagination but spells seem so much harder to aim from a distance compared to bows when in third person.
Also Farkas. Almost every single time during Proving Honor he makes the fight against the Silver Hand harder by charging in like an idiot instead of letting me snipe them from the bridge. If ever there was a follower that I wouldn't be sad to see dead it is him.

I don't know what I did before installing the AFT mod, which gives you the option to tell your followers to shut up.Mattbott wrote:I brought Mjoll the Lioness into council in Season Unending and she spoke continuously all through, and due to the sound balancing, i couldn't hear what the others were saying. In hindsight i should have fus-roh'd her off the throat of the world or fed her to Boethiah, but i just dismissed her as soon as the meeting ended
i've said it before, but perhaps a simple operation flashpoint red river type command wheel would benefit companions in future TES games instead of the dialogue choices, and they could follow given orders like "follow exactly in my footsteps", and "be quiet unless spoken to" , for a start
Even so, it doesn't apply to other NPCs, and I still have them interrupt me with inane comments about arrows and knees when I'm trying to listen to important dialogue. I initially found it kind of fun that having a conversation didn't pause the game like in Oblivion, but that was before I realised that every single NPC in Skyrim has ADHD, and is incapable of understanding the concept of waiting their turn to talk.

The College of Winterhold also makes me mad. To be fair, it does get better as you progress through the questline, but in the early stages it reminds me less of Mages' Guilds in previous TES incarnations and more of Hogwarts. There's a kind of family-friendly pantomimey feel to it, which I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't totally at odds with the tone of the rest of the game.

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I am vexed by the fact you cannot buy a house in Windhelm without joining the war, one side or the other.
I understand the story-bound reasoning behind it. I understand the gameplay mechanic of keeping at least one prize locked up unless you fully commit to the story. Still, it's maddening to realize that you can buy the most expensive house in the heart of Imperial territory without having to join the war, but if you want to buy a home in the Stormcloaks' capital you have to flock to someone's banner.
Ulfric Stormcloak: "You wish to reside in my city? Join my fight. Bleed for my cause. Kill in my name. Risk your life and take many that of my enemies', and I will grant you this privilege. That is what I demand."
Me: "Do you do this with everyone who asks to become a tax-paying resident of Windhelm?"
Ulfric: "Yes."
General Tullius: "You want to know what it'll take for you to live in Windhelm? Simple. Win us the frickin' war."
Me: "Dang."

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
Until I looked into it, I honestly thought that buying Hjerim depended on completing Blood on the Ice. That's the way it seems it should work. I agree that it makes no sense that you have to join the war, but it also makes no sense that you can buy the house without resolving that murderer situation.
Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I have had NPCs talk to me in passing just as I "quick travel" to some other location, only to have the NPC whisked along with me.If an NPC is talking to me as I pass by and enter a door, they will appear inside the new location with me before going back out again a second later. This includes places like my home in Whiterun.

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I play on a PS3 and therefore suffer from many glitches... and astronomically long "zone times" ie walking through a door or going from one map screen to another can take up to 90 seconds.
But the glitches...aye yi yi! I came home to Lakeview Manor and found a dead dragon. Not sure who killed it unless it was my steward, Reyya (I am a bit dubious on this, my stewards tend to be useless). Only the dragon was IN the ground with its head poking up just in front of the door like some scaly obelisk. I recently moved the kids here from Windstad, they seem to like it better. But it annoys me to walk into my own houses and have my stewards address me with (along the lines of) "you look lost, stranger."

Sorry, not sure how that happened. I clicked "quote" and it "quoted" too many lines so I tried to delete them...anyway, I fixed it.Spark wrote:I didn't write that...dedawen wrote:I have had NPCs talk to me in passing just as I "quick travel" to some other location, only to have the NPC whisked along with me.If an NPC is talking to me as I pass by and enter a door, they will appear inside the new location with me before going back out again a second later. Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
Muahahahaha. My work here is done.
But before I pop back into the alternate universe where everything is reversed, I want to mention one other thing I hate in Skyrim: necromancers and their untidy ash piles. If they're going to leave a mess everywhere they go, no one is going to want to play with them any more.

Re: What makes you mad in Skyrim?
I'm surprisingly ok with the idea of horses reporting my crimes.
What I'm not ok with is Imperial soldiers reporting my crimes in Stormcloak-held holds, which is what they did when I accidentally killed a Stormcloak prisoner I was trying to liberate. Fortunately after I killed the Imperial soldiers (which was my intent in the first place), I had killed all the witnesses and lost my bounty, but it just seemed wrong to gain that bounty in the first place.

With zero cost spells, you can do more dps than any other base skill. The problem is that Destruction isn't combined with any other skills besides the fire damage from Illusion, where as other combat skills use enchanting and smithing.
