Do you support the side of Dementia or Mania?

Post by Daemos Avetorii »

(Dreadfully sorry if similar topics existed in the past)
Spoiler:
I just completed the quest where Hirrus Cluttumus (sp) wants to die.
Since my character is a member of the DB that seemed like a job right up his alley.
But I don't really get the man's emotion problems. I love Dementia. I love dark depressing places because quite frankly.. I hate the sun and everything it stands for (ie happiness and other illusions :p)
So I figured I make this poll for me to see which of you prefer which side of madness.
Just me being a curious weasel. :3

Although I'd prefer to live in Mania, in-game I usually find myself spending most of my time in Dementia. Mostly because the framerate for me goes down the toilet in Bliss.

Crucible doesn't look very sanitary, so I probably wouldn't go there often in real life. Which is a pity as I much prefer the sultry Seducers rather than the snooty Saints.

Mania is the more interesting side IMO.

I prefer the dark seducers, but I can't get the smell of the town out of my armor so I live on the sunny side.

Dementia most of the way. First, it's a good look. And the rescue at Brellach means getting some golden armor which matches the complexion far better than what I'd expect of the mazken outfit.

Enjoying the night life of Bliss is little more than taking a stroll down the streets. In Crucible, on the other hand, there are sparring matches atop the roof.

I do draw the line with the temple of Arden-Sul. I side with Mania simply for the redecoration that occurs inside the temple. And if I wanted to hear dour proclamations of eternal suffering, I'd attend an actual church.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

I attend actual church. It's not like that.

Both sides hold ample appeal for me. New Sheoth itself is a blast, though I think I spent more time in Crucible early on. Being a heavy armor fan, Cutter and I got along very well. The really fun lunatics are in Bliss, though. Big Head is my boy.

At first I took over for Syl, but then the more I thought about it I realized that I wanted her to live. So, I reloaded and took a dive into the greenmote. Good times.

Basically, I've flip-flopped my way through the entire expansion.

I go Mania, since you can't access the Greenmote Silo otherwise, while Syl's little dungeon can be mostly explored right off the bat. Plus the orange flame over New Sheoth just looks better. I always hate making the choice though - I want 100% completion. :(

I like the pretty colors of Mania. My character wears Dark Seducer armor since it looks better on her though. I played through as a Golden Saint character once too. I guess I’m just naturally manic, even though my life is usually demented.
Reality is but an illusion, an artificial construct created by those who take the world much too seriously.

Mania, because, ironically, becoming the Duke or Duchess of Mania nets you the Dark Seducer armor.

Option three- for to be a truly mad member of that community, nothing beats sitting upon the edge of a dichotomy!

This makes me think of a person who has Mania's colors on one side and Dementia's colors on the other side.

In turn, that makes me think of a certain Star Trek episode guest-starring Frank Gorshin:

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=st ... &FORM=IGRE

Narrator: "Picture, if you will, two individuals locked in an unceasing life-or-death struggle over the colors of their skin."

Captain Staccato: "I don't understand. You both look exactly the same to me!"

Left Manic: "No, we don't! We're not the same at all! Can't you see? I have Mania's colors on my left side and Dementia's colors on my right side." [Points at Right Manic.] "But he has Mania's colors on his right side and Dementia's colors on his left side!"

Captain Staccato: [Tearing out his hair.] "It's a madhouse! A maaaadhouuuse!"

As if anyone could pull off that stunt...
