LOL, my last character dragged Potema's Remains around with her ever after doing the pertinent quest; always meant to decorate a house with it but never got around to settling down.

My current gal always has the following in her inventory:
- a tankard and a wooden bowl (how did you think she's supposed to eat and drink in the wild?)
- a roll of paper, an inkwell and a quill for jotting down mission notes (no, I haven't installed the Take Notes mod (yet), and Marilyn isn't one to write a self-reflective journal anyway, but how is she supposed to remember where to do what otherwise?)

Also, when she goes about fulfilling a Dark Brotherhood contract she always dresses in a Shrouded hood, Shrouded boots and gloves and plain unenchanted black robes, and she always leaves a sprig of snowberries in her victim's inventory as her calling card.

I'm prolly not the only one who does this but I always give my followers specific gear tailored for them and named. I empty their inventory when they first join me and as we go I give her money for bounties we collect as well as the bounty letter. Reward them with gil for good deeds. (The dunmer from the college saved my life once with a summon) and if they kill a dragon they get 5000 gold. I do a lot for my follower cause they do a lot for me.

Oh yeah. And also, I carry a set of armor and a set of clothes. For me and my follower. Before we enter a town we change to regular clothes until we leave.

I also have this thing with fast travel. I carry black soul gems and fill them with bandit leaders only. Or those dremoras but I rarely see them. If I collect 3 I can fast travel anywhere once. Does anyone else do anything like this and is there any other rare or uncommon item that I could use cause I'm running outta those soul gems and I hate running all the way to...morthal? To get one from the mage there.

I try to get every single collectable in the game, my main character has almost everything except for a few small things that I can't remember but I'm sure I'll come across the eventually. Also, seeing as my guy is a Khajiit I tend to collect all the Skooma I can as well as Moon Sugar and have little stashes of it around my house and bedroom. I also have every unique type of alcohol in the game in my Lakeside manor cellar (my family house with Mjoll Hroar and Sofie as well as Rayya) and am always on the lookout for more black briar reserve.

My Severin manor house is my main collection of armaments though with one of every craftable and unique item as well as a display of deadric artifacts. Overall my Morrowind house looks much more grandiose but my Skyrim one is on par with my Oblivion one if not slightly more decorated.
I also have one of every craftable armor/sword/accessory.

Also, I have to pick every lock I come across even if I'm already rich and ignore every radiant quest until I do the main ones.

Also, whenever I see a Dragon on a word wall I do my best to climb the mountain behind it and go in for a backstab even if it is a waste of time.

I also reverse pickpocketed the Jagged crown off of Ralof and have Tullius armor as well as Ulfrics due to the console as well as some other normally unobtainable stuff.

Despite all of that my houses are generally fairly tidy and don't look like an Episode of hoarders, I'm just glad that they didn't add in a weight limit to storage to Skyrim or I'd be done for. It took me 500 hours to get this far on that save file but I don't regret it.

Like many other of the people in this thread. I obsessively hoard artifacts and unique items. I never have any intention of using any of these items I just want to have all of them at once. They don't even have to be artifacts, they could be unique items or anything that has a limited quantity in the game. It doesn't matter what kind of character I'm playing or there personality. I can't not collect things. I feel like it's because in morrowind there were a limited number of things like daedric arrows, darts and many other items had a set number in the game and I've hoarded things ever since. It could even be an item with a unique name, but mostly artifacts. I need them...

I think everyone besides the super casual collect things in sandbox games so it's nothing special I guess. I've seen some videos on Youtube where guys mod the living daylights out of Balmora or some even play on the Xbox version and decorate everything by hand and have houses that are mindblowing.

I tend to carry around a pickaxe and a woodcutter axe just in case I'm in the mood to mine or chop wood.

Well, I usually carry a pickaxe too. I don't think it's that weird, though. After obtaining the Transmute spell Skyrim's iron mines become a great source of cash. Plus that way one doesn't have to buy all the rarer metals, either.

Yes those rare metal can be hard to find I hate when i see a silver ore and forgot my pick axe sometimes i can eeven remember where it was to go back and get it.
I like to decorate my house as others and have learned how to place things, so I always watch for a rare jug or pitcher to add to the house. I also consider bandits near my house to be neighbors as long as they dont bother me on occassion i visit the conjuror near my lake side manor from a distance and say high. They help fight dragons and all so I dont bother them. I have a habit of sneaking to places just to mark them on the map but may never go there. I consider it to be a scout mission. making maps of skyrim.

different characters have different collections.
Frank needs all the Guards Armor and Shields of each hold
Ursula needs bugs in jars and skulls
Felinia Jewelry and fur Armor
Oh and Felinia pickpockets the guards every chance she gets. Stealing thier Steel Daggers.
My Argonians swim everywhere possible. From town to town. That sort of thing and they eat bugs and fish.
If I'm not online, I'm collecting ingredients, that's all you need to know...

Even as characters who aren't thieves, I steal and pickpocket just about any chance I get. Sneaking upstairs or in back in shops to take any pocket change or alcohol or clothes, snooping around in other rooms in peoples' houses, taking things from the rented room in inns, anything.

I also grab any and all alcoholic drinks I can, and try to save at least one copy of each. Since I don't typically wear armor, I also constantly steal clothing and occasionally change outfits to conceal my identity while not in the wilderness. After all, can't have everyone in Skyrim knowing I'm a necromancer.

Oh, and I love taking all those wrappings and embalming tools from Nordic ruins. I'd love to use one of those spirally pointy ones as a weapon.

AND I also set up little makeshift shrines around my house. My favorite one so far involves a troll skull, candles, and a lot of wine.
I'm @vonFawks in ESO. Typically play as my Dominion Khajiit, Jamashi Sweet-Tooth
My Steam ID is "mataata", or just look up Mataata von Fawks.
I'm also @vonFawks on Twitter.

I thought I'd post quickly about a weird one I've picked up on my current playthrough. I just finished the main quest at 60 hours in (it's a hardcore, no fast travel, Frostfall + iNeed run, just bear with me) and I haven't once visited Falkreath.

It was about 30 hours in when I noticed that the main quest never directs you towards Falkreath, Dawnstar or Morthal. You only have to go to Markarth to get to Sky Haven Temple, Solitude for the embassy quest, Whiterun for bloody everything, Windhelm to fetch Ulfric for the peace negotiation, and Riften to find Esbern. Now, I ended up in Dawnstar and Morthal since they both have interesting quests, but it's been five days real time and I still haven't made it to Falkreath.

So I decided I was going to make it a point never to go there. I have to go near Falkreath to pick up part of Mehrunes' Razor, but I'm going to see if I can avoid entering the town proper. Why? Because it's funny, and nobody really likes Falkreath, right? But silliness aside - the fact that you can play an entire game while missing basically what amounts to one-ninth of it's content? That's the future of gaming right there. OK I lied when I said 'silliness aside'.

My real bad habit though is my constant obsession over blue mountain flowers and blue butterfly wings. Their powers combined make a suspiciously expensive potion of damage magicka regen, and I've reached level 80 alchemy almost solely on those and a few invisibility potions here and there. I regret nothing.

One that I can think of at the moment is that if I marry someone, they must be the same race as me. I don't know why. The only exception is if my character's husband is an Argonian or Dunmer.

Same here, you never know when you'll need to craft arrows and be near a stump and the Nordic pickaxe is useful as both a backup weapon and for getting the material for said arrows.

I'm sure this is common but it's true for me regardless.

Finn's mention of assassins at the top reminds me of my first assassin, who had the most disturbing habit. For every job a black soul gem to capture the target's soul. Then immediately after enchant an item with the soul and sell it. The selling was supposed to represent my character using a courier to send the item as a gift of condolence to someone close to the deceased.

I don't too. I actually never loot good people. I would never, ever, loot my follower if he/she died. It just feels bad to do that.

I never eat food items in Skyrim; rather I simply use the ring of Namira to feed on the corpses of the men, mer, and Khajiit that I kill. However, I will NEVER eat the flesh of a fellow Argonian since after all I'm not a cannibal. :Twisted Evil:

I keep humming the notes to "I've Been Working On The Railroad" every time I mine some ore.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

An alcoholic and a thief. For shame! :P

I never take anything from a burial urn -it just seems disrespectful. That's not really a weird habit I suppose -strangely enough my weird habits haven't leaked into gaming and only occur in abundance in real life.
