Dark Souls has been a game I've longed to play. Not for the difficulty, which oddly would put me off, but for the world and events. May be why Dark Souls 2 doesn't interest me in the same caliber. None the less, if it's a game that can be challenging without unnecessarily punishing is still a great experience

I was under the impression it was very unnecessarily punishing. Of course, I haven't played it yet, so, this is just hearsay.

Dark Souls is an extremely fair game. Most people just aren't used to the calculated playstyle you'll need for it.

Good, then. I'll try to make a point to play it.

Dark Souls PvP is great until you fight against nothing but backstab fishers.

Or cheaters/hackers.

No joke, in any game if I get completely owned, not bc my foe was vastly superior in level or gear, but by sheer skill.. I will have no complaints. Granted I also regard skill with a fair fight, a game for the sport of fun than simply exploit bc you MUST win

Pfff. That's even worse than complaining about campers in FPS games.

I wouldn't be too upset about it, but I summoned like 4 different invaders to my world earlier today, and each one only tried to backstab me. I normally rarely see anyone fishing for backstabs.

I'm actually doing a SL1 challenge in DS right now. Already killed O&S, but too scared to go to Duke's. Those buffed crystal hallows are frightening, especially the archers.

You're a madman! No-one sane or insane or both tries to play Dark Souls at level 1 for the entire game!

When you master a game known for impossible odds.. how else do you think a challenge can be made?

I know and they are madmen. That said, some people have done soul level 1 without wielding anything apart from a single weapon!

Soul Levels mean next to nothing. It's an equipment-based game.
