Anybody going to RTX? I would like to, but unless I come into some money in the next couple of months, its a bit out of my reach this year. I'm going to set aside and hopefully attend next year, assuming they have it.

I probably won't be going for another few years. As it stands, right now I'd probably have to go with one of my parents, and for me that would be pretty weird. I'm content with waiting until I've moved out and can pay for the trip myself.

Nice, going for the whole three days? What panels do you want to see (I know they don't have a schedule yet, but I assume there will be similarities to last year)? If you don't mind me asking, what are your travel plans? Hotel, or do you have someone in or near Austin that you are going to stay with. They posted that they don't have the hotel discounts, so I didn't know if you maybe had some alternative that might give me an idea for next year.

That sucks. You should get your parents interested in RT and then go next year haha.

So I just found this.. a fan animation featuring the Achievement Hunter group  I really love it, minus the fan dub bits.. but the rest just flows so smoothly
:
Be warned, mature content present. Then again it's Achievement Hunter, so what would you expect?

Also, I doubt anyone here missed it, but just in case, RvB Season 12 was announced:

I hope the prominence of Tucker in the poster means that he'll be getting more focus this season. He could really come into his new role as the temporary sort-of-leader of the Blood Gulch crew. I also hope that we get to see some segments from the captives' (Wash, Sarge, Donut, and Lopez') point of view, as I'd hate to not be able to see them until the rest of the crew gets around to rescuing them. I mean, come on, I didn't buy a hat with Sarge's name on it just to have half a season without him!

Also, here's an interview Burnie did a couple days ago where he talked about a bunch of cool things. Link, and here's a summary of the most interesting reveals (copypasted from Reddit):
Rooster Teeth is working on a live action feature film to be funded through Kickstarter "in the next few months."
Day 5 is in pre-production, will be shot this spring, and will be released after Immersion.
The website redesign will come out late Q1 to Q2.
They have RvB "milestoned" through season 13.

I am currently addicted to 2048: Achievement Hunter Edition.

Also, if you haven't seen their latest GTA V LP yet, it's is definitely worth a watch. (Or at least the last 10 minutes, if you're short on time.)

RvB Season 12 begins in just a few hours! In the off chance that you're seeing this before looking at any of their social media accounts, RT is doing a live stream podcast for it at 4 PM CST, available for everyone to watch.

And....this is gonna be a serious season. Won't even spoil tonight's episode since it's under an hour old, but let's just say the comedy is definitely being balanced out. It makes sense with the tone that the last third of season 11 took, but things are getting pretty real only 2 episodes in. I really like the blend of CG and traditional machinimation that we are getting as well. I feel like, as awesome as the CG is, it got a little heavy in seasons 8-10, and then it all but disappeared last season. The brief CG moments are very welcome additions to the work the team does with the in-game engine, without becoming its own creature. I would like to see slightly longer episodes, but I think that is every fan's wish. I think JJ said in the recap that there are 22 episodes (not sure if that's official or just based on past seasons) and so if they stay at about 5 minutes, we get just under a 2 hour season, which is about the average. It's a personal preference, but until I can watch the season in one sitting, I'd prefer 10-15 minute chunks, even if it only meant a 10 week season.

Yeah, I like the Season 8-style CG being used. I was worried that the new animator might be a step down from Monty, but so far there's been nothing to complain about. As for the story, I like that they're getting right to the goods early on. Last season's laid-back first half worked as a welcome change from season 10, but it wouldn't really fit this time around, so I think Miles and Co. made the right decision in that aspect. Since I haven't made any predictions for the season (I'm just going to sit back and enjoy whatever happens) the only thing I'm hoping for at the moment is that we get a glimpse of the prisoners soon.

I've gotta be honest, I was not super happy with tonight's episode. I feel like I was just smacked in the face repeatedly with how I am supposed to feel about these events.
Spoiler:
Remember that moment last week when Tucker lost two men and it was in stark contrast to the goofiness of the training ops earlier? Well they'll throw it back at us, and then make a joke of it, and then throw it right back to seriousness again. Did you guys know that the Reds and Blues and misfits? No, here let us remind you in case you haven't been around for the past 12 years. And I can respect that, but I think it's pretty obvious, even from the first couple of episodes this season, that these guys are not the badass soldiers they might be mistaken for. I don't think it's needed that it is so explicitly said. Felix making the group feel bad because they only want to help save their friends was also somewhat obnoxious. The dynamic between Tucker and Wash last season was great, and worked over time, with Tucker feeling like Wash just took over for Church unceremoniously. It felt natural and like a progression. Felix's statements would be more effective if the dead horse of exposition hadn't already been beaten to a pulp in the previous 5 minutes
This just felt like really unsubtle exposition.

I actually liked the new episode.. though I can see your point, Felix is by no means equal to Wash or Church<_< he's self centered, yes.. but that's not enough to fill the void.. I cannot wait to see Carolina return >_<

Speaking of RvB, I figured I would go rewatch the whole series, followed up by PSA's. Ahh.. back to the nostalgia :3

I know this is coming from the left field considering current developments, but the RVB guitar opening absolutely bums me out every time I hear it. I was watching the show back in Blood Gulch, so it just seems to have ingrained its way into my brain as being a permanently melancholic sound.

AKB, I agree. Every time I hear the new intro riff, it's startling. It's similar to the original, but at the same time so different.

My collection is growing. In addition to these three recent additions (see picture), I also have the Extra Life AH comic book style poster, the Chupathingy shirt, and the Gay Robot shirt. Also have the first 8 seasons of RvB on DVD. I'm watching the 8-Bit Salute Live Stream now. The poster is cool, but don't think I'm gonna grab it for two reasons; first I don't have any money, and second I never had Nintendo growing up, so the style isn't as nostalgic to me. But mainly the money thing, because otherwise I'd love to donate and support the cause and show my support for RT again.

So RT has launched an IndieGogo campaign to fund a new feature film. That's right. A feature-length movie made by Rooster Teeth Productions. And it's a sci-fi comedy called Lazer Team. Seriously, why is this computer screen not absorbing my money right now? Go do the world a favour and donate if you can. I think I can probably afford to supply a nice little $25 or $35 boost. Every little bit counts, right?
