1. Morrowind
2. Skyrim

The rest don't matter to me, except for Lore.

Skyrim had better AI, obviously, but I honestly enjoyed the combat, movement/jumping, weapons/armor/alchemy/enchant in Morrowind far more.

If I could, I'd make Sky-Wind.

Because Morrow-Rim just sounds weird?

I think the technical gubbins (graphics, AI etc.) are the only areas where Skyrim outclasses Morrowind. In terms of quests, themes and (sadly unvoiced) dialogue as well as character mechanics Morrowind wins hands down

I must say, though, after my eyes stopped melting because of the god-awful faces and crazy Dayglo palette and after my ears had ceased shrivelling at the dire voice acting, Oblivion wasn't nearly as bad a game as I'd expected. The story wasn't too bad, but by the gods, it was an ugly, grating-voiced little squirt of a thing and that made it hard to love.

So...

1. Morrowind
2. Skyrim
3. Oblivion

4. & 5. are up for grabs.

Just spotted this:

Yikes! Where do you live that everything looks like it was painted by a small child with a very limited number of paints? Skyrim actually looks like what cold Northern places look like. I never quite understood people complaining about that. Especially folks who think that the cold, high-altitude moorland of Whiterun ought to be green for some reason.

Daggerfall is still my favorite Elder Scrolls game. I bought it back in 1996 and have recently started another playthrough using Dosbox. It's not just nostalgia, I really like the game. I still have not played Arena, Battlespire, Skyrim, or ESO; so I can't rate those. However, I really want to try out Arena once I've finished playing around with Daggerfall. I suspect that I'll like it.

My list:

1. Daggerfall
2. Oblivion
3. Morrowind
4. Redguard (only played a demo of it back in the late 90s)

My list is :
1. Skyrim
2. Morrowind
3. Daggerfall
4. Oblivion
5. Arena

Here is the thing Morrowind and Skyrim are too damn close to each other and I always change their spots because I love them both they are my top 2 favorite game.
Morrowind may be more of an RPG but Skyrim is too damn epic.

Also a more in depth look !

Arena = While the graphics and mechanics are outdated and I haven't palyed it nowhere near as much as the 4 other games in the series I still loved the world and lore Bethesda created in Arena alone. If you ask me Arena was a great solid start to the franchise and hint at better things to come.

Score : 7/10

Daggerfall : Damn this game is awesome even for a game that is older than I am it is still really awesome in fact there are somethings in this game that I consider to be better than my two favorites Morrowind and Skyrim ! However the main thing that is really holding this game back are the glitches and some really blank one note parts of the game world.

Score : 9.3/10

Morrowind : First off the Main questline is probably my favorite main story mission in any game because it makes such great use of it's atmospheric world and great lore to tell a great fantasy story that is deep in many aspects. The combat is something I have heard people complain and yeah it is not great and the character models are also very outdated however I except those two minor gripes I have nothing also to complain about this game is a masterpiece in the RPG genre of videogames.

Score : 10/10

Oblivion : This game is pretty darn good however the Character Models , Voice Acting ( from Random NPC's ) , Level system and combat are either really poor or mediocre.
The world looks really impressive graphics wise however many parts of it feel really plastic. The best thing about this game is the guild quests those are pretty damn sweet especially the Dark brotherhood.

Score : 8/10

Skyrim : Oh boy this game I might not even be here on this site if it wasn't for this game. Let me tell you the story of a 14 year old boy who was really hyped for Skyrim even though he had never played any of the previous TES games and when he played it he was amazed at how alive the world felt and how much stuff there was he could do after he played around 200+ hours of skyrim he wanted more so he went and got all the other games in the Elder Scrolls series and since then he was devoted to The Elder Scrolls franchise. Honestly you guys I love both Skyrim and Morrowind almost equally however nothing quite matches the experience I first had when I played Skyrim. This game is IMO the best game in the seventh generation of gaming.
