Wih unlocking it, Valus lightly pushed the door open to reveal what was behind it. He took a few steps back, then actually returned to Melaris. "So were you born in Morrowind? Or have you always been here in Cyrodiil?" Valus nonchalantly asked, while keeping a bit of distance from her and her alchemy stuff.

"He hasn't... Not yet." Tsiani replied, linking her hands behind Dar'Virr's back.

Ra'Krinrij and others

A short hallway, like the other, met the initiates just past this latest door. Another door was at the end of this short hallway, this one open a crack already.

Tsiani

Dar'Virr purred softly before asking, "Does Tsiani want to visit this one's bed now, or would she prefer to do something else?"

Valus

Melaris was now putting the powder she had made into individual vials, leaving room in them for enough water to create a paste.

"Always lived in Cyrodiil," the Dunmer replied.

Valus smiled at her response. "Cyrodiil is nice. Morrowind is plain gorgeous though..." He remarked. Perhaps I should follow the group... This dunmer doesn't seem interested in talking to initiates...

"Yes, I know," Melaris said. "I may have always lived here, but I do go traveling." She put down the mortar and turned to Valus. "What are your intentions here?" she asked.

Valus stared blankly at he Dunmer's beady crimson eyes. "What do you mean? Like of our conversation? Or my intentions with the guild as a whole?" He asked, as he grew a bit nervous. He actually thought about his intentions with both while he awaited her response. I want to make some allies in this guild, and maybe even my future wife. But how much can I trust the members of this place? I don't know their past. I don't know their motives or intentions. I'm here for money and some security. As a freelance thief, I had nobody to back me up... But I've heard good things about how his guild treats it's loyal members when they're in peril... I like dunmer. I don't know if his one will make a good ally, a potential love interest, or even a good enemy. I want to learn about these people. I suppose that is what my intentions are...

"This conversation," Melaris replied. "I don't see how it relates to your current objective."

Paras nodded, "me either. If no one else is going to go, I will." As he approached the next door he used a detect life spell, just incase they were going to run into more people.

Valus was embarrassed by her response. "Do you wan me to leave?" He asked in a bashful manner. He halfway turned his body, as if he was afraid of the answer awaiting.

Paras could see one person standing in the middle of the room. His fists were clenched as if holding something, but the detect life spell could only detect living things, not inanimate objects.

Valus

Melaris shrugged. "What you do and where you go is of no concern of mine," she said, turning back to her work, "but you have a better chance at finding a bed with your fellow initiates than with me."

Paras put a hand on his cutlass and slowly pushed the door open, ready for a fight if one was necessary.

Valus turned without a word, with a self-contempted look upon his face. He scurried over to Paras, and peered at his hand upon the cutlass. Valus stepped back from the door, and tried to remain hidden from view of whatever was behind the door.

Ra'Krinrij noted the others' nervousness, and raised his eyebrows. He laughed quietly, highly doubted they'd meet anyone hostile.

Paras & Co.

The room they were now entering seemed to be some kind of house. The stone walls were replaced with a light stained wood with large windows and colorful paintings hung in prominence. On the hard wood floor was placed a large crimson rug decorated with intricate woven designs. Lavish furniture adorned the entryway with deep woods and bright crimson upholstery.

Standing in the room, dwarfed by the high ceiling, was an Imperial Guard, dressed in full armor and holding a sword and shield. His back was to the door Paras was opening.

Paras, drained as he was from his continuous usage of magic, returned the door to it's cracked position. He turned to the group, "okay, here's the situation, there is a man in there that appears to be an imperial guard, or if nothing else he has the armor." He said in a hushed voice.

I don't want to fight a real guard, and I certainly don't want to get kicked out of the guild for killing another member before I've even officially joined, assuming I could win. Hmm.

"Tsiani supposes we could go out for dinner, out for a walk..." The brown-furred khajiit said, cocking her head thoughtfully. "Perhaps we could scale a roof and share a bottle of brandy...?"

"Yes, yes!" Dar'Virr said excitedly. "We will do these things. Dar'Virr will show you the best of times! Come!"

Smiling, Dar took Tsiani's hand and began leading her into a room full of weapons and light armor. There were also practice dummies that had seen their share of blades, and targets made of hay with a few arrows still embedded in them.

Ra'Krinrij immediately brushed Paras' words off as another prank. These people were really intent on making a fool of him, and he would have none of it. He made a "pfft" noise, and nonchalantly opened the door wide.

The door swung open with a bang as it slammed against the wall. The Imperial Guard spun around immediately, shield up and sword at the ready.

"Stop right there, thief!" the guard yelled.

A slight shiver went down her spine from her words, she could only respond with some hint of shy demeanor "Yeah.. a noble's house... I think I'll pass on that.." Raven could only think to herself "Maybe this one would of been better off left alone.. I could only dread if I chose to charm the young one back there.."

Ra'Krinrij immediately drew his saber and assumed a defensive stance. He still believed this guard-business to be a fluke, having a hard time believing The Guild would have a connection to an Imperial Guardsman's residence. Even so, they outnumbered the man severely. "Lower your weapons, friend..."

[Rook]

Maugrim's hand reflexively dropped to his side as the guardsman appeared, but found nothing, as its usual decoration was now firmly stuck in a door. Cursing inwardly, Maugrim searched for anything he could conceivably use as a weapon, preferably a blunt instrument.

"You are no friend of mine, criminal scum!" the guard replied. "Now drop your weapons and come quietly! All of you! You have been caught trespassing!" The guard began approaching the doorway, sword still raised, his face stern and angry.

Now that the door was open fully, those that were at the front of the group could see that there were two doors leading outside directly behind the guard, a door that looked much like the one they had just opened on the far right wall, and a staircase to their immediate right.

"Good luck all." Paras muttered as he mustered all the magicka he had and cast an invisibility spell and attempted to sneak around the guard to the staircase.
