"If there is another door behind this one," mumbled Ra'Krinrij, "this one would believe the Guild put this corridor here to see how many doors we would unlock before giving up..."

Paras & Friends

There was not another door behind this door, although it had surely been toyed with at one point in time. Beyond the door, however, was a room smaller than the one they had left. Torches once again lit the stone walls, floor and ceiling. On the group's right they could see an enchanting table up against the wall, a large bookshelf on either side of it filled with books, soul gems, and a few pieces of jewelry.

On the left side of the room was an alchemy table complete with master-level equipment. Shelves were also on either side of this station, though filled with plants, bowls of void and frost salts, dead insects, and other ingredients. Standing in front of the table was a Dunmer woman. She was of average height with deep crimson hair kept trimmed so that it didn't cover her neck. Her skin was light grey/blue with a few dark navy "freckles" scattered about her cheeks. Her eyes were a piercing vibrant red. Her body seemed toned but not muscular, long thin legs and arms, small chest. She wore black pants and tunic, and a dark blue belt around her waist which held in place a small leather scabbard and pouch. She was holding a mortar and pestle and looking quizzically at the group that had just entered the room.

"What are you doing here?" the Dunmer asked in a demanding voice, still grinding whatever it was in her pestle.

Paras was relieved that there wasn't a trap behind to door and replied to the woman, "ah, greetings, my associates and I are recent recruits and a mister Maro told us to search for a bed as our test." He took a step further into the room,"do you happen to know of any free ones around, or perhaps a way out of here?"

Paras

The Dunmer looked both amused and exasperated as Paras explained why a large group of people suddenly entered the room.

"I know both," she said, turning back to the alchemy station, "but I've been given strict orders not to help you." She continued to grind the ingredients in her pestle to a powder.

Paras could now see that there was another door on the far side of the room.

Paras let a sigh, "hmm, very well. Could you tell us what is behind that door?"

Paras and Friends

"A hallway," answered the Dunmer dryly.

Paras rolled his eyes, "Ah, descriptive. Is there any chance that said hallway could lead to a bedroom or two for us to stay? Or should we just find out for ourselves? Ah, but how rude of me, I haven't properly introduced myself, my name is Paras," he said with a bow.

Meanwhile, Ra'krinrij had walked over to the side of the room to study the contents of the shelves, nodding approvingly. This was most a excellent collection, he determined, as scarcety of ingredients had always been a clutch of his when it came to alchemy. He slid up next to the Dunmer, and interrupted her conversation with Paras: "Your personal collection, hm? Or Guild communal ingredients?" He also glanced into her mortar, trying to determin what she was grinding.

"Friendships last longer when gifts are freely given." Tsiani said, turning back to Dar'Virr. "Where is this bed you speak of, Charming?"

Mystical Crafting Room

The Dunmer turned her head slowly to look at Ra'krinrij, obviously upset that he would not only get that close to her, but would interrupt her work as well. "Both," she said sharply. "Now if you don't mind, I prefer to work alone."

Ra'krinrij could see the Dunmer was making a dark yellow powder that smelled of fennel and some kind of thistle.

"I am called Melaris, if you care to know," the Dunmer said in Paras' direction. "I am Potions Master here. Any use of ingredients and equipment has to be approved by me."

Tsiani

"Upstairs in Khajiit's room," Dar'Virr said, putting a hand at the top of Tsiani's hip. He smiled as they continued toward the end of the hallway and an open door heading left - the door Dack and Emma had disappeared through.

"Well, pleased to meet you Melaris. My associates and I will take our leave." Paras said as he walked to the door, took the knob in his hand and turned it, casting an open spell as he turned it, just incase it was locked.

Valus stared intently at the Dunmer's work. So much equipment... Such craftsmanship..., he admired. He was more calm now that he was in a room where he was pretty sure he wouldn't be killed in. "I've always admired alchemists... My mother was somewhat into alchemy - just as a hobby though." He commented to Melaris, as he lagged a bit further behind the rest of the group which had advanced toward the door.

Paras and Valus

With all the effort made to look suave, Paras didn't focus enough on the unlock spell. When he tried to open the door, he instead pulled himself toward the locked door, conking his head against the wood.

Melaris laughed breathily through her nose as she heard the hollow *thunk* of skull meeting wood.

The Dunmer then turned to Valus and said playfully, "I've heard better pick up lines from an ogre. Why don't you run off with your friends...assuming you can get the door open, that is."

"- that wasn't a pick up line..." He blurted. With that, he strode over to the lock and knelt down, without saying anything. He pulled out a lockpick and began working with the lock. He had an amount of experience with locks, so he hoped he would open in order to impress the others.

Upon conking his head on the wall, Paras stood right back up, and sheepishly stepped away, but tried to recover. "Ah, but I can't always be the star. I'll let someone else try."

Mystical Crafting Room

Another lockpick fell victim to a Thieves Guild lock as Valus tinkered with the tumblers. It snapped in half, the thinner part flying backwards and hitting Maugrim in the chest.

Raven coined the septims into her pocket "I guess I could tag along, certainly beats this dreadful room" she began to follow the path that the group had left, she turned her head just as she was in the door "You coming?" She flashed an innocent smile, one that was almost too good to be true..

"Gah! Sorry..." Valus apologized, as he was incredibly intimidated by the hulking Orc. "Once more..." He pleaded, taking another lockpick out and carefully inserting it into the lock. He felt around the tumblers, trying to tap into his lockpick abilities to hopefully unlock the door.

Tsiani

Dar'Virr softly rubbed the curve that separated Tsiani's side from her hip. He stopped walking and gently pulled Tsiani closer.

"Khajiit noticed you did not say he presumed too much," Dar'Virr said quietly.

Valus

With his mind focused on his craft and the task at hand, Valus was able to easily pick the lock.

"Of course." Lalussa told Raven with a smile and joined the woman. "It'll be nice to break into a house with someone for a change instead of by myself." She told her fellow thief as she walked with her out of the room and down the corridor.

Is it ok for me to move us along Beta? Also, don't worry about it. I don't mind waiting and it would have been unnatural for her to suddenly leave Raven. :)

Honestly, in such cases where I'm too busy with other stuff<_< and it's causing somebody to wait on me when in reality it's but a small matter.. I'm fine if you find a way to break free and join the group, or if Mm wishes to he can even grab a broom and scurry me along

"Nah, i just want to get into your pants." Lalussa joked to Raven before chuckling at her own joke. "Joking aside, it'll be nice to have company for once and we may end up scoring big time." She told her companion as they walked down the corridor. "I was thinking of hitting one of the nobles houses but we can break into a less risky house if you want." She told the breton with a smile.

"Well, this one shall be seeing you for a lot a approvals, miss Melaris," said Ra'Krinrij, backing out of her personal space with a quick bow. He turned to follow the others through yet another door.
