I hate being the bearer of bad news (Really) but weka left the UESP clan on Kingdom of Loathing... Then she and her alt started a new clan.
She's still her usual friendly self though.

I talked to her the other day.
I don't know anything about Jeff though.

Edit: Not saying she won't come back by the way...

Yes, we have both left.

Nothing to cool down about, people like **** make the forums no longer a nice place to visit, it's as simple as that. We knew the forums when they were really nice and friendly, fill of genuine people rather than drivel and spam just because people love to hear the sounds of their own voices (metaphorically at least! ).

It was def a v. sad day for both of us. Though we have both got alot of joy out of it, we have also both put a great deal of effort into UESP over the yrs.

But I still have email notification on for pms, and I still play KoL, though I have gone off to my own clan, at least for now.

I don't think either of us have said that we would never go back, but for me at least, it is v. unlikely that will ever happen now.

It's very sad that weka has left and I do actually agree with some of her statements. I mean, I'm only 5 days shy of being qualified to perform 06er snobbery... From what her and Jeff have said though I think they may have just left temporarily to let things calm down a bit.

Although they did leave together. Maybe they're having some secret love affair and they've run away together.

Hey folks, I'm new here. I've been using the uesp alot for information on Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion, which I've been playing a lot over the years. When I get tired of one game I play the next, when I'm tired of them all I wait 6 months then go through it again. It's just unlimited fun

I havent been playing much Daggerfall until recently, when the game came out and I got it I was too young to understand most of it (I'm 20 now, so) and this renewed interest was the main reason I joined this forum.

I'm from Norway btw.

My my... So many ancients (and some not so ancients) leaving the forum. Two days ago I made a very touching speech/post on a lugormod clan forum because one of the server's most powerful and respected clans was disbanded. I'm pretty sure I can emulate with minor changes to suit the permanent absence of so many of our dear friends here, so be expecting one soon. If anyone cares to read the touching speech:

I just read the post that was locked, it's on the second page I think under the name of Edit: A discussion About Spam, and it really shattered my ideals of a close-knit community here on the forums. I didn't have the luck to be able to read that thread when it was alive and so didn't know why in the world Jeff and Weka left. Now that I do, I have to say I am incredibly upset over what what said and specifically my own relations to those terrible actions done that were described by Jeff and Weka. It really shook me to see such a heated debate going on between two people a respect very much and the rest of the forums comprised of people that held very strong opinions in their own right. If Jeff or Weka ever comes back to read this, please accept my full apology and, if my friends will allow it, an apology on their behalf for any material degrading myself, themselves and/or the forum itself. I truly am very sorry.

I'll confess that I've seriously thought about leaving but even though I'm not particularly active anymore it'd just feel sad not to check the forums whenever I log on.

Though thinking about all those who have left is equally sad, I wish cactus would come back...

K i figured Id give another two cents and I dont want to restart the discussion either....

On Wolf's apology thing: I just want to say that I stand by what I said in that thread. Though I did tell Jeff to leave, I think I made it clear that he should not have.

Personal opinions aside on the matter of how the spam problem etc.. should be sorted out, I have to say that I am sad Weka left because she was one of the most friendliest and helpful people I met here and I did (and still do) respect her immensly. like I said before, Jeff was the "Rohugh" of Oblivion and it was a shame he left. So just in case I never see either of em again, Id like to say Goodbye and Good Luck to Weka and Jeff.

Quite some time ago but he left quietly which is probably why you didn't notice.
He just visited us in the "Tell us a little bit about yourself" thread though but I don't think it means he's coming back.

That is an accurate evaluation. I still read most everything, but I just haven't felt much need to post. I'm going to make at least one more reply in the "About Yourself" thread tomorrow. I don't feel I adequately expressed myself in my original post, so I'm going to clarify some things. When I'm awake and fully able to express myself without seeming like an idiot. I'm REALLY tired.

Don't worry about it. I haven't gotten around to playing oblivion recently as my xbox has the "red rings of DOOM". I may come back in a few months or so if I find that drive again. And don't forget to eat your fruits and vegetables and brush your teeth twice a day. Just kidding. Bye.
