I'm sitting at a burger joint, across the room from a guy that looks exactly like p-sto. He keeps catching me staring but...its just that the resemblance is scary.

Pretty much, most tv producers assume kids are stupid. Also because it made it easier to pick up new viewers. It would be interesting if shows did that these days. Wonder kind of intro song exposition Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones would have.
