Re: Eye colours
I just learned that having a different-colored ring around the pupil, as I do, is called central heterochromia, and apparently only about 6 in 1000 people have it. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Re: Eye colours
Brown! I have a lighter eye color than my mom, I think though, which I guess makes sense considering my dad has blue eyes (which, if I am understanding correctly, might be way mine aren't as dark -- eye color is complex, and I think my biology teacher I had in highschool said something about how they believe up to 13 different genes might contribute towards it). I'd say around the iris there are... I don't know, maybe slight hues of a grayish/green/copper color, really sort of muddy, but that might just be me! Overall, it's just brown, though.
My dad has a light blue eye color though, and when I was born, my parents weren't too sure if I'd keep them, apparently. A bit of a shame; blue is one of my favorite colors, and I love it as a eye color. I also have darker shade of brown hair (sort of a chestnut, I guess), so I think it would have been a nice contrast, myself. =P Of course if I did end up with blue eyes, they might have been a baby blue like my dad's, or maybe more of a steel gray/blue like my parental grandma (and my aunt).

It wasn't rare enough to have lovely bright red hair - now your even rarer with your central heterochromia.Alarra wrote:I just learned that having a different-colored ring around the pupil, as I do, is called central heterochromia, and apparently only about 6 in 1000 people have it. Looks like the dark browns are leading in the colours. I'm surprised there is yet to be anyone with grey.

Re: Eye colours
Green. Kind of an olive green, I think. Or I've heard jade. Fairly solid throughout, with an inky outline.

Re: Eye colours
My father has eyes similar to what you described. He calls them "Hazel" color. But his are more grey.SM-Dreamer wrote:Green. Kind of an olive green, I think. Or I've heard jade. Fairly solid throughout, with an inky outline.

Re: Eye colours
I just looked in the mirror and yeah, mine are a darker green shade. I've never really paid attention to my/others eye color so this was an interesting topic for me.
Re: Eye colours
I'm in the blue/green club. More blue than green though in certain lights my eyes do look very green. Also in the central heterochromia club with golden rings around the irises.

Re: Eye colours
I think Hazel is mine. If not that, then generally a light brownish colour.

Re: Eye colours
My eyes are blue/grey, mostly blue depending on the lighting.
In a perfect world I'd have full heterochromia (in games, if I have the chance, I try to give my main character one blue eye and one purple eye). I just love the look of heterochromia.

Re: Eye colours
i don't think that eye color really plays into personality as I'm not necessarily mischievous so it's more or less genes and genes only as my dad is Irish and my mom is Danish so it makes sense that my eyes would be green.
Still, it's fun to think about things I guess.

Re: Eye colours
Brown. Rather dark brown than hazel, but still just brown.
But for gods - for me - there is no more feeling. Only knowing.
