Imperial Players - Where will you be?
Simple question, simple answer... for those of us who'll have access to the Imperial race, at least.
While I know that an Imperial would probably fit better with the Daggerfall Covenant, I find that mine will end up in the Ebonheart Pack. I was playing around with him during the Beta this weekend, and it felt like a good fit, and indeed, a good character.
So where will your Imperial be?

Oh for the love of little green tomatoes...

Aldmeri Dominion, since my other chars are a Nord and a Breton. It started as convenience, because I have the other two political factions covered - but from what I've seen of the questline so far, I really like Queen Ayrenn. She's witty and a brave fighter, and my Imperial is pleased to serve her.

Aldemeri mainly for the same reason as baratron, I've played the other two factions and I want a change.
I also know a few players who will be Aldmeri.

Imperial in the Aldmeri Dominion - wouldn't that be kinda like a jew in the Waffen-SS, or an african-american in the Ku Klux Klan?
Re: Imperial Players - Where will you be?
Sounds like you're confusing the Dominion with the Veiled Heretics this game.
Re: Imperial Players - Where will you be?
Though i did find out that some npc's treat you differently as a high elf

Re: Imperial Players - Where will you be?
Nope. This particular variant of the Aldmeri Dominion is led by a Queen who was an adventurer all over Tamriel before her father died, and is extremely non-racist. Her most trusted lieutenant is actually a Khajiit. It's the Veiled Heretics who are all "Summerset Isles for the Altmers! Down with furballs and shorties!".AngryNord wrote:Imperial in the Aldmeri Dominion - wouldn't that be kinda like a jew in the Waffen-SS, or an african-american in the Ku Klux Klan?
It's quite refreshing to realise that Altmers don't have to be stuck-up and obsessed with the purity of their blood. Of course, the game is set in the Second Era, so we're long before the existence of Talos. But it's nice to be dealing with an Isle where your race is unimportant... and slightly sad. How did the Aldmeri Dominion change over time from respecting individual people's talents regardless of their origin, to the racist and oppressive Thalmor? Did the Veiled Heretics eventually win? That's the kind of Lore change that I'm interested in.

Re: Imperial Players - Where will you be?
It's unfortunate that the Heretics win this battle in the future... (Skyrim's thalmor being proof). But my Imperial will be with the Ebonhart Pact! The imperial style armour is just so unreal looking couldnt help but make one.
