in case of plot, considering it all takes place in the past.
You'd be surprised how many crazy retcons they're pulling.
While I don't mean to move the thread away from the intended topic, insofar as it does influence the decision whether or not to purchase, what kind of things are you referring to legoless?
Few minor things all over, can't think of many off the top of my head. The featuring of many standard books kind of effs with the lore chronology, and apparently Pelagiad existed in the Second Era. Point being, I feel we're going to see quite a few universe changes with ESO simply due to developer oversight.

From what I've heard, I don't know if it'll be worth the full subscription, but chances are I'll buy the game and play it for at least the subscription-free first month. Beyond that, if I like the game enough, I'll consider paying the subscription. I still don't know whether to get it for PC or Xbox One, though. My PC will be able to run it decently, and I'm sure that's where majority of people will be playing, but I'll make my decision after it comes out.
don't quote me on this but I have heard that Xbox will not cross platform with PC when it comes to player interaction, but PS4 will cross platform with PC

I'll quote that in order to correct it. There will be three separate platforms.
1) Windows and Mac
2) PS4
3) XBox1

anyways, took the plunge today and pre-ordered it. I'll be switching my sub on SWTOR over after the free month ends on ESO

To the best of my knowledge, the separate servers are insisted upon by the manufacturers concerned. Microsoft want an exclusive server for their Xbox One customers, and Sony want an exclusive server for their PS4 customers.
If any of the platforms were to cross, wouldn't it be the PC and Xbox One, seeing as Windows and the Xbox One are both made by Microsoft? (Albeit different divisions of the company). Why on earth would Sony want their customers sharing space with Microsoft's?

I originally voted unsure, but after playing through the last few beta sessions, I've had a lot of fun and I've been pretty happy with the "elder scrolls" feel (within the limits imposed by an MMO), so I've pre-ordered and am eagerly awaiting early-access day.
Even if real-life commitments mean I can't make it on until late in the evening.
Ah I don't know yet if I am going to wait for it to come out on PS4 in June, and then get it, or if I should just get it for my MAC now. Part of me wants it NOW, but then again if I wait until this December it might be a bit better with less bugs and what not. Plus I can justify getting a PS4 for Xmas, but not really just because of one game. Blah! I haven't even finished Skyrim yet and I'm already dreaming of The Elder Scrolls Online!
I preordered it a couple of weeks ago. I need the Imperial Edition because I want to make an Imperial (no prizes for guessing who). My dear husband said that if it was going to cost £69.99 for the download of the Imperial Edition and "only" an extra £20 for the full version with shiny book and tacky statue, then I might as well get the full version. Even though £89.99 is US $150, meaning that we're paying half as much again as Americans, damn it.
I preordered it like a couple of months ago. I wanted to get the Imperial Edition, but my local stores only have the standard edition.
Molag Bal statue! I totally want one. (Well, and I want the art/lore book. And the horse. Mudcrab. Mara rings. I don't really care about playing an Imperial. It's pretty much everything else I want.)
...Because I pre-ordered like, a month ago. I'm half-sobbing, half-excited right now because I spent $100 on the Imperial Edition, but I got into the beta so I have a pretty good idea that I'm going to like the game! I'd better, because... $100... *sob*
I've been a huge TES fan forever. Truly, the greatest games ever created. Lots of people are worried that ESO may "ruin" this legendary franchise. I realllllly don't think thats the case at all. ESO looks great, even in the beta it looked beautiful. Fully voiced. Great features. Incredible graphics, and ALL of Tamriel. Its a dream come true for me.
Lets remember we are at the dawn of the game. MMO's aren't always perfect on release, a year or so from now and WoW will be bowing down to it.
And for the price, go get a part time job at a grocery store or something... Help an elderly woman weed her garden. $100 bucks and the monthly sub isn't that hard to get lol. Doesn't matter if you're 13 years old, thats what I always did. Plus the entertainment coming from this game is totally worth it! I shall enjoy this game very much so!
Im not usually too crazy about MMO's, but I've been debating on this one for a while. Guess I'm gonna do like I did with Skyrim and wait until all the hype dies down and they get all the bugs and kinks worked out before I make my final decision. If it wasn't for that monthly fee I'd be all over this.
