Savegame version 0.00. Urgent help required.

Right, First off hello everyone.

I've got a MAJOR problem. Last time I tried to load up Oblivion, when I clicked on continue game, I get a message saying "this save is version 0.00, may not be compatible" and when I go to load game I get an "Out of memory" error (I have 2 Gigs btw) and the game automatically exits to desktop. Is this a known issue? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm very keen to solve this as starting from scratch would be a massive headache. A LOT of hours would go down the drain. I've made no changes to my system, no installs or updates.

A very quick answer would be appreciated, as I won't be back online for a while.

Ok. I fixed it by deleting autosave.ess and renaming autosave.bak to a .ess. Thank Azura for that. I was proper worried...
