Speed Permanently Damaged?

Post by Kletus »

Under my attributes page, it shows my Speed attribute as 64 in red.

I know for a fact my speed base value when I last leveled was upwards of 70 or 75.

This loss / damage has been present for at least the last three levels or so (level 8 ATM).

I've checked my active effects, no diseases present, or anything else related to speed loss. I take off my armor and it doesn't affect it.

I've tried getting blessings from the church. I bought 'Restore Speed' spell and that didn't do anything. I ate some herbs with 'Restore Speed' effects, to no avail.

I don't know what could be causing this!

Looks like your speed has been damaged by some kind of creature. Try to get a Restore Speed spell or a potion. See below:

Or go to a chapel:

I'm pretty sure it is a glitch of some sort.

I've contracted no according to my stats page.

player.getbaseav speed - Returns 84
player.getav speed - Returns 64

Something has damaged it by -20.

Last night I tried everthing - Restore Speed on Self spell, Restore Speed Potion, Church Altar, eating herbs with restore speed components.

It seems unfixable.
I decided to just fix it manually by increasing my base speed by 20 via the console.

I'm wondering if this is like the Armour stats glitch where you can be left with permanent attribute changes, while the armour itself has "vanished".
