resest quest

[txtilly]

I didn't know you could choose to kill Astrid. I have not completed the "With Friends Like These" quest. I tried to resetquest db02. It removed the quest from my journal, but did not remove the "mysterious note" from inventory and the quet does not resume as it should.

I have already adopted the girl Runa from the orphanage. Doess this effect the reset of "With Friends Like These"?

If I reset the "Innosence Lost" will that cure the trouble?

I tried typing setstage db02 10

Lastly, I tried setstage DBEntranceQuest 20 followed with player.moveto 1dbe8. My character was transported to Astrid at the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

All of these I got from the bug fixes on the Dark Brotherhood quest pages.

What can I do to reset this quest line? The game has progressed too far to start over or start from a sasve point.

Thank you!!

I had already tried that six times. I should have put it in the post too.

What result should that have had?

I'm really stuck here.

I can easily follow instructions provided.

Thank you!!
