Wow. it has been.... an odd year.. ain't everyday you survive a head on collision with an 18-wheeler.. i know sounds unlikely. laughed at it myself once i was out of the hospital.. no fatalities other than both my right foot being smashed, my right shoulder popping out of place, and a couple broken ribs.. they kept me pretty doped up though. anyways, i think in my time away, i've somewhat matured. and gotten a lot more stressed with school and family and what not. Anyways, i'm back.. hiya all.

And people ask me why I'm so afraid when I drive.

that's what everyone else said.. well maybe not exactly that.. but yeah, one hella lucky guy. older sister was in the car too.. no broken bones on her. just majorly painful bruises and spasms. tell ya what though, its wasn't the impact that hurt so much, it was the sudden stop, and the spinning, slamming into the door and what not. they never even found the hood to the car. they think it went into the woods somewhere.

ha . this was a . freak accident.. crossed a median on the interstate.. complicated circumstances. lol. but everyone lived, so i figured if that didn't kill me, i can't really get in a worse accident than that.

I remember getting outta the car, hopping around. i guess the adrenaline kept me from falling over in pain.. but this cop said the worst thing at the worst moment. freaked me out. he said he'd seen people get out of a wreck like this, and start walking around as if they were fine, then just fall over dead from severe internal bleeding.. freaked me out. he told me that, the just walked off to do something else. i was just standing there on one foot awkwardly, waiting for an ambulance.

Hello. I really like the ground rules that have been set down here. It seems like a really well maintained forum.
So anyways I'm known as Thuro. The name comes from one of my very favorite books. The Ghost King. If you haven't read it you should, its excellent.
Also the username isn't used on most forums so I have no problems procuring a unique name.
