Re: Rough Seas Redux: A Tale of Pirates and More!
Sally
Sally's crew had also ran to her ship at the start of the attack, trying their best to get the ship ready. "C'mon Captain!" An older male crew member yelled as she approached.
The Lady Lucine
The crew scrambled to make it to the ship in time, though not all would reach it. Several explosive balls hit near their position, destroying the docks behind them and leaving no opportunity to turn back.
Don Leon
Said explosions also separated Leon from the docks and any chance of an escape by sea. The question now was, what would he do to avoid disaster?
The British
In their scrambling for communication, the fleet had failed to notice a group of five smaller, yet still large, ships approaching them from deep within the fog. Behind the ships, odd purple flashes shown through erratically, providing the only means to see them. Ironically, it was only after this that the messages were able to be discerned, though now it was too late to be of use.

Sally ran onto the Dark [&@%!] and took the wheel. "We're getting out of here! Full sails!" She ordered her crew and would sail west out of the port if she could. If not, she would sail out of the port and then head west. She intended on lying low for a few days. "Mister Leon, this is your final chance. Join me if you want to live!" She shouted in the hopes that would hear her.

"I say we set sail a soon as humanly possible. Agree Captain?" said Henry.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Leonard nodded. "A wise choice for wise men." He muttered as he tested the cards. Flipping them over, curious about this present.

Sally
Unfortunately, it was too late for Don to join, and the crew set into motion. The ship started moving, albeit slowly out to sea, at first appearing to have evaded the gaze of the attackers. This did not last as one of the ships the British had seen, peeled off and started for her. "Captain, a large ship is approaching!" A young Spanish lass, her first mate, announced to Sally, though the ship was still only an outline against the purple haze.
The Lady Lucine
The Lucine also was set into motion, though it attracted the attention of one of the ships, which moved unnaturally fast for something of its size. It seemed that had a few moments to prepare before conflict might occur.
The British
The signals went through, indicating that the captains and their associates should probably meet together to discuss their next action. As Avery approached the Imperator, Francis and William were informed of the approaching rowboat.

"[&@%!]." Sally uttered under her breath. "Get to your stations!" She ordered her crew. "If they spot us, we'll unleash the full fury of the [&@%!] on them. If they don't, we'll head west and lay low for a few days." SHe informed her crew. She prefered to keep the crew informed of her intentions and believed they trusted her more because of it. If the ship didn't spot her, she would sail west after getting clear of Nassua and lay low for a few days. "What type is it?" She asked the lass.

Cut off by sea, too much chaos for a fool to hide, Leon scampered away to seek cover deeper into the port town, and intentionally to the center of the island.

Re: Rough Seas Redux: A Tale of Pirates and More!
The Dark [&@%!]
The ship had spotted her, that much was certain by its speed and direction, and it was closing fast. Her crew went to their battle stations, as ordered, as her first mate replied. "I.... I don't know, ma'am. It's nothing like I have seen before." It was then that the ship tore through the mist, finally revealing itself.
Because of her size lack of speed, Sally's ship would not be able to escape without a fight.
The Lady Lucine
All available crew members scurried to the cannons as the Lucine sailed. Fortunately, it was a great deal faster than Sally's ship, and so it was able to put enough distance between itself and the island so that the pursuer lost interest.
Don Leon
Don was met with the sight of mutilated corpses amongst the leveled town, blown to pieces by the cannon fire. Severed limbs lay strewn across the ground and there was not a living soul within sight. Up ahead of him was the only standing building, oddly unharmed despite the bombardment. To his left was the ruins of a basement that he could enter.

Sally mouthed the words, what the [&@%!]? After seeing the strange ship. "Prepare for battle!" She told the crew and started to turn the [&@%!] so it would face the incoming ship. She intended on lining up the broadside with the enemy ship in an attempt to maximise the damage. But she also intended on keeping a fair distance from the enemy ship. "As soon as they are in range and as soon as we have a decent target, unleash the broadsides!" She told her crew.

Allen, leaving his first mate Peter at the helm of the ship, manned a rowboat and set off for the Imperator as well. If the captains could take down this ship, it could only be done with a carefully drawn plan.

The Dark [&@%!]
"Aye Captain!" Sally's First Mate, now known as Isabel, nodded before relaying the command to the deck. Slowly but surely, the ship turned so that the target was on the starboard side. By this time, the target had entered range and had not turned, still barreling forth towards the side of the [&@%!]. "FIRE!" yelled Isabel and all cannons on the starboard side complied. Sadly, only about seven out of the thirty cannon balls hit the target, due to its small profile. By now, the ship was quickly approaching Sally's ship, seemingly intending to ram her unless Sally acted immediately.
Don Leon
As Don Leon scurried into the dark and smokey basement, a large explosion erupted from behind him, showering his body in dirt and shards of iron, though he was unharmed. Within the basement were a few oaken crates, along with barrels of what seemed to be rum. In the corner, a small fire burned, though whether it was burning previous to the attack was unknown.

Sally turned the ship so it would be facing their enemy. "Forward shot! Aim for their mast!" She ordered her crew. "Isabel, any advice?" She asked her first mate. She always valued the advice of her first mate in battle or just general advice.

Sally
All five forward shots connected with the ship, though it did little damage. Suddenly, the incoming ship changed its direction slightly, just enough to slip by Sally's port side. "Captain, they're going for a broadside!" Isabel announced, having no time to answer the question.

"Oh [&@%!]!" Sally uttered. "Give them a portside and brace!" She ordered the crew. SHe knew it was too late to change direction or at least believed it was without getting sunk. She hoped that her portside would do a fair amount of damage to the enemy. She braced herself for impact.

Re: Rough Seas Redux: A Tale of Pirates and More!
Sally
Smoke filled the air as both ships fired their cannons at point blank range. Across Sally's ship, entire sections of the hull were damaged severely, while many good pirates were killed. When the smoke cleared, it became apparent that the opposing ship had too taken damage, though nowhere near as much as Sally had. Oddly, the crew of the opposing ship looked to be oddly normal for a ship that arrived in such a manner, though there was something... odd about the crew. Their lack of movement was especially unnerving to Sally's crew.
Avery
He did indeed arrive on the ship.

Sally felt unnerved by the crew. She could tell her crew felt unnerved and didn't like the look of the enemy."There's something not right about them." She uttered to her first mate. "Something tells me we should retreat. What do you think?" She asked Isabel.

"If... If you think we can make it captain. But, they've already shown to be fas..." Isabel started to say before being cut off by a loud booming noise emanating from the bowels of the enemy ship. One by one, each of the crew members, Sally's as well, lined up against the railing and spoke simultaneously. "He is coming." Sally herself felt a strange tug at the back of head, though why or what caused it she could not say.

"What the..." Sally uttered as she withdrew her flintlock and felt scared. She slowly turned around to see what was causing the tug. "Isabel, we are getting the [&@%!] out of here. Something unnatural is nearby and i don't like it." She whispered to the first mate.

"Yes, lets." Isabel said in a voice that sounded unlike her, but quickly snapped out of it, as did the crew. "Lets go. Come on, all hands to stations. We're leaving as soon a possible." She yelled to the crew, who diligently followed. Sally's ship was now moving, and it seemed that their would be attackers had forgotten about them.
