I do leave it there usually just to kinda drag and drop, plus it fills up a corner, so, why not.Lindai wrote:Everyone's aware that you can easily remove the Recycle Bin icon from your desktop on Windows, right?

Re: What's your wallpaper? II
The Geek Machine. My desktops have been happily icon free since before it was cool. The background is one of my favorite screenshots from Skyrim, of my main Imperial PC.
My laptop looks like a warzone (i.e., icons and documents all over the desktop), and it's driving me nuts. This is what happens when I share a computer. Hehehe.

Re: What's your wallpaper? II
Here's something for you boys and girls (though I suspect the boys will be more appreciative). I sure hope this download works. It was a pain getting it uploaded today.
It is Dichotomy, a balance through contradiction. You can see that both subjects are opposite in most respects, but both command attention.
I just fixed this one up yesterday and thought I may give it a try. It was inspired from my talking about having a devil on your left shoulder and an angel sitting on your right when you play a character.
We are all constructions of opposition, tugged between the light and the shadow.
Light is an external relevation, be it by the imagination stirred by campfire stories, or a solace from a holy scripture.
Shadow is the product of our substance, a projection of our existence. To show that we are real.
But we are always moving between those forces. The only way you will be perfectly still is if you're dead.
I rather like the composition as well. Mind you, I have to keep the icons on my desktop rather small to fit them in the space between.
So, ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you all to Dark and Spark. My demon and my seraph.
Me: Say hello to all the nice people.
Dark: I'd rather not.
Spark: Don't they already know just how insane we are?
P.S.: Some musings from the past. Time is a strange thing.
