Today, I restarted my main character, Salene. The interesting part came when she found herself starting in Blackreach, thanks to Alternate Start's random option. Five deaths and many ragequits later, she managed to drag herself to the surface. Now, she sits at an intersection, both figuratively and literally, trying to determine which path she should take. Become a college student or continue her rougeish ways? Perhaps she'll find the answer soon.

Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage already homesick for the Rift:
1. Left for Solitude via Whiterun with Torvar. Wondered how many guests Iona would entertain while they were away.
2. Had to fight more bandits at Faldar's Tooth and another giant at Largashbur.
3. Talked about magic with Torvar.
4. Saw that Stalleo can't hold down the fort.
5. Used good tactics against bandits at Treva's Watch.
6. Used bad tactics against draugr at Angarvunde.
7. Is concerned about her injured husband, who can't hold his sword after being hit with two consecutive draugr shouts.
8. Continued to Whiterun hoping that a blessing from Kynareth will heal her husband's injury.

Long version
Spoiler:
Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage already homesick for the Rift, reminded Iona to watch the house and chickens, and left with Torvar before dawn. They were going to Solitude by way of Whiterun. It had been a few months since Jess was last in Solitude, and she wasn't married then. She had been busy trying to make The Rift and Winterhold safer, among other things, and now she wanted to help the other hold where she held thaneship: Haafingar.

Jess expected to be away from Riften for at least a month, and the thought made her nervous, as she felt most at home there. She wondered if Iona would have guests while she was gone. What was Jess thinking? Of course Iona would. Jess knew that Iona had male companions at Honeyside, having seen Riften guards, Stormcloak soldiers, and even Tythis Ulen trying to slip out of Honeyside without being seen. Jess didn't care - Iona's a grown woman - but she wondered if it was against the rules for a housecarl to have guests.

One of these days, Jess thought, she would tell Iona it's all right with her, but she suspected Iona got more of a thrill from having her lovers over thinking it was forbidden.

Jess was lost in her thoughts as she and Torvar walked down the trail past Merryfair Farm toward Faldar's tooth. Suddenly, she was snapped back into reality as Dibella's music changed. They were under attack! It was merely a common troll - she and Torvar dispatched it quickly. Still, it worried her that the troll was so close to Merryfair Farm. Farmers, Jess had noticed, foolishly try to fight trolls themselves rather than letting the guards do their jobs. She had seen it at Merryfair and at Sarethi. She worried that one of the elves would be killed by a troll.

They sneaked to Faldar's Tooth and Jess cast Detect Life. By the Divines, more bandits! It seemed she had just cleared the place of bandits. And, as usual, Torvar was spotted, by an archer. Not wanting to be shot with bandit arrows, Jess frenzied the archer, who began firing on his comrades, instead. With the bandits confused and distracted, Jess and Torvar were able to fire on them without being shot themselves.

"You know, if I only knew one way of fighting," Jess told Torvar, "it would be Illusion magic... though I do like the bow, too." They continued on, encountering a wolf on the trail. Jess calmed the wolf with another Illusion spell, and they passed peacefully.

They spotted a single frostbite spider while approaching the bridge to Heartwood Mill.

"I suppose Illusion does have its limitations, though," Jess said as she aimed her bow.

After confirming that Grosta and her son were all right, Jess and Torvar continued to Largashbur. As thane of the Rift and blood-kin of Orcs, Jess wanted to check on them. It was under attack by another giant! Recalling that three Orcs had been killed during the last giant attack, Jess sprinted forth, readying a paralysis spell, though she wasn't sure if it worked on giants. She arrived on the scene just as the giant was about to strike down an Orc with his club. But Jess was in time, for once. She paralyzed the giant and it fell over. The Orcs began savagely attacking the now defenseless giant, as did Jess and Torvar.

"Was that an illusion spell?" Torvar asked of the paralysis spell.
"I read in a book that it used to be," Jess said. "But now it's taught under Alteration."

After eating lunch in the stronghold, Jess and Torvar moved on.

They came across a camp that Jess had never been to. It was marked on her map as Angarvunde, but Jess could not recall who marked it or why. No one was at the camp, but there was a cave next to it. It was late afternoon already. My, the day had passed quickly. Jess wanted to bathe in the river and perhaps stay at Treva's Watch for the evening. Surely, Stalleo wouldn't mind.

They crossed the river and Jess used Detect Life again.
"What..." Torvar began.
"Alteration," Jess replied, smiling.
Jess didn't like what the spell revealed, though.
"The spell can tell the goodness or evil in a creature's heart," Jess said. "These are evil. I wonder what happened to Stalleo."
They sneaked up to Treva's Watch. The gate was locked from inside, but they could see bandits through the bars.

"If this works..." Jess began.
"If what works?" Torvar asked.
"Just be ready in case it doesn't," Jess said.

She cast a frenzy spell through the bars of the door, hitting a bandit archer, who began attacking another bandit. Soon a brawl erupted inside the walls, but two of the bandits were aware that someone outside the fort had caused it. Jess summoned a Dremora Lord on the other side of the gate, then another. Soon all of the bandits were dead. Now if only she could command the Dremora to open the gate.

Jess and Torvar walked down the trail and found Stalleo and his bodyguard back at their camp.

"Couldn't hold down the fort, huh?" Jess said. "Lucky for you, we need a place to stay the night."

Jess told Torvar to wait by the gate while she climbed the rocks to get inside to open it. They entered the interior of Treva's Watch and cleared it using a variety of tactics.

They returned to the river, as Jess desperately wanted a bath. It was very late, after midnight. Jess wanted to sleep on the roof. Bad decision, as she was awakened a few hours later by rain. It was still dark, but they ate breakfast and returned to Stalleo's camp.

"The fort's all yours again," Jess told Stalleo. "See if you can hold onto it better this time."

Jess and Torvar returned to Angarvunde. Again the camp was empty, so they decided to check the cave.

Inside, they met Madresi, who immediately rubbed Jess the wrong way. She needed help clearing the cave of draugr. Jess decided to help the impatient woman, since she would be away from the Rift for a while.

Jess and Torvar moved forward through the cave and Jess sniped a draugr. It came at them, but she and Torvar were able to take it down with their arrows before it reached them.

There were two more draugr in the large room. Jess sniped one, but it came at them, alerting the other.

"Maybe you should have started with the magic," Torvar said, unhappy with Jess's poor tactics.

The draugr closed quickly and the nearest one hit Jess and Torvar with a shout which sent them flying through the air. By the time they recovered, the draugr were on them. Jess hesitated, dazed and not sure whether to use a spell or her bow - and the second draugr hit Torvar with another shout which sent his sword flying.

They were in trouble. The draugr were focusing their attack on Torvar, who was forced to use his bow at close range. Jess summoned a Dremora Lord, then another. She ran over to keep Torvar alive with a healing spell, while the Dremora took on the draugr, who continued attacking Torvar.

Jess and Torvar survived the fight and they found his sword. But there was a problem: Torvar could not hold his sword. Apparently, he had been injured when he went flying, and Jess's healing spell wasn't helping.

Madresi showed up, impatiently wanting Jess to continue through the dungeon.

"Stay with her, but stay sharp," Jess told Torvar. "I don't trust her."
"You'll be all right alone, dear?"
"As long as I can summon, I'm never really alone," Jess said, regretting that she had gotten too fancy with her archery and now had a husband who can't hold a sword as a result.

Jess continued through the dungeon...

---

Night had returned by the time they finished the quest at Angarvunde, so Jess and Torvar went to the river to bathe and then returned to the camp to sleep. Jess took a couple of books from the camp, as Madresi wouldn't be needing them anymore.

The next morning, Jess was very concerned to find that Torvar is still unable to hold or even carry his sword.

Maybe a blessing from Kynareth will help, Jess hoped, as they continued to Whiterun.

Serin Black-Blood helped Silus Vesuius get the pieces for Mehrunes Razor.

After Serin heard nasty voices in her head which requested Silus' death, she ignored them and fought off hostile Dremora.

Silus made it safely back to his museum/home, although Serin doesn't remember getting paid for the protection, so she killed him whilst he was making soup.

Then got his inheritance and clothes.

Today I went into Solstheim to say hello to Miraak. I didn't get far from Raven Rock, though, until masses of Ash Spawns tried to kill me. With my previous mage character I didn't mind too much how many of them there were, since my ice storm spells cut into them like a hot knife into butter. But with my current ranger type it's infuriating. I need space to maneuver so that the ash spawns don't mob me, but literally every ten steps a new group of them springs from nowhere. This is what my compass looked like when I had already killed a dozen of them:
Spoiler:
Image
And guess what, after even these there were at least half a dozen more. Seriously, it took me three quarters of an hour just to finish this fight! And this is even with Ralis killing at least four of them, when the fight drifted near Kolbjorn Barrow. Oh, and on top of the ash spawns, I had to fight a reaver and three ash hoppers. My one-Handed skill went up by four points, archery by two points and light armor one or two just from this scrimmage. I've no doubt my block skill would have improved, too, but pausing to block would have meant the grey [&@%!] surrounding me. The bottom line: the enemy intensity is just plain ridiculous in Solstheim. The next thing I'm doing is to enchant the ebony sword I looted from a Draugr Death Overlord with an ice spell and teach those ash spawn f*****s to not try to f*** with me. Maybe that makes going through the questline bearable.

That's bizarre. I've never had that problem. In fact, I rarely even see ash spawn in my game. Do you have a mod installed to increase spawn rates or something?

Amara rode to Falkreath Hold today. Once she arrived near Roadside Ruins, she prepared a campsite and left Belrand to wait there (she didn't want him to know that she was looking for the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary), and went to look for the sanctuary with Meeko.

Once she'd found the sanctuary she spoke with Astrid, explored her new base of operations, traded some loot she'd gathered with Babette and got her first contracts from Nazir. After spending the night at the sanctuary she went back to the campsite to fetch Belrand and rode on to Falkreath with him.

Hey, thanks for posting this! Because this actually prodded me into doing some research and yes, the waves of ash spawn are due to a mod. Looks like the Dragonborn plugin of the Immersive Patrols somehow makes ash spawn much more numerous, even though it shouldn't. With my next character I'll remove that part of the mod, but looks like I'm stuck with it with my current char (since I'm not going to remove a mod if that's not absolutely necessary). Oh well. At least Solstheim isn't a dull place.

Went back to the thieves guild questlines. My character, Felinia (had the name before I met ya'll, sorry Dovah period) Khajiit, Fe, level 10. Went to 11. Started at CoW with Marcurio. Could not recall why we were there. Explored there a bit. Went to a nearby barrow to get some diaries for an elf in Riften? Yngvild? Anyway, found to 4 diaries. Went to Riften, explored the thieves guild a bit more. Found someone down there to buy the excess crap I have been looting. Brynlof gave me hell for not talking to Maven yet, uh?...what was I supposed to do again? Talked to an intriguing guy in the cistern named RUNE. Wonder what is up with him...?
Finally found [&@%!] Maven and discussed her desire for underhanded dealings in the Whiterun area. Saved and quit.
If I'm not online, I'm collecting ingredients, that's all you need to know...

Amara swapped followers again today.

She had ended up being near Whiterun, and I had wanted to try out Jenassa as a follower for a while now. None of my characters has ever had her as a follower, but from the greeting lines she said when Amara first met her a month or two ago (in-game), she seems a fitting companion for an aspiring assassin. Plus she's also a Dunmer, just like Amara, and I kind of like the idea of two Dunmer adventuring together.

They started their friendship in the proper girly way with a shopping spree. Elrindir at the Drunken Huntsman had gilded Elven armor for sale, and since Amara also wears Elven, I thought it would be fun to dress them in the same armor. So they went from shop to shop in Whiterun until they'd chased down the matching gauntlets and boots. The stuff cost a small fortune, but I think it was worth it.

Other than that, Amara cleared Embershard Mine (still with her old follower Belrand), got lost on the way back to Falkreath with Jenassa because she didn't stick to the roads, and cleared Evergreen Grove and Cracked Tusk Keep simply because she happened to find those places. She ran into Barbas on the road, traded her loot at Falkreath and finished some minor quests.

Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage with an injured husband:
1. Made it to Whiterun with Torvar, who can't carry much burden.
2. Made Torvar pray to Kynareth, but it didn't help his injury.
3. Is having an affair with Aela.
4. Thinks Torvar is having an affair with Njada and Ria.
5. Concluded that Kynareth blessed her with Lover's Comfort for her affair with Aela.
6. Broke into the Battle-Born house to help the Stormcloak-aligned Gray-Manes.
7. Rescued a Gray-Mane from the Thalmor with help from Aela.
8. Wonders how guards know so many of her secrets.
9. Got Aela to cheat on Hircine by praying to Kynareth.

Long version (contains spoilers for quest "Missing In Action")
Spoiler:
Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage with an injured husband, arrived in Whiterun with Torvar and stayed at Jorrvaskr. The next morning, they prayed to Kynareth, but Torvar was still unable to carry much burden. They decided to stay in Whiterun a few days to see if he recovers. At least he can hang out with his pals, Athis and Farkas. Later, while walking through Whiterun, a guard said, “I may guard Whiterun, but the Thieves Guild guards us, if you know what I mean.” Jess ignored the comment, but wondered if her husband heard it. She bought and tempered a new Skyforge sword from Eorland to replace the one Torvar lost in Forelhost. Torvar was able to carry the sword after Jess relieved his burden by carrying a few potions for him

Back at Jorrvaskr, Jess gave the Companions their gifts and agreed to go hunting with Aela the next morning. They left before dawn. They killed three saber cats and sneaked into Sleeping Tree Camp, where Jess tapped the tree for sap (though she hadn't needed it as much lately). On the return trip, they cleared Fort Greymoor of bandits again.

The day was similar to their last hunting trip together and drew them closer than ever. Back in Whiterun around midnight, they bathed in front of Dragonsreach, then went back to Jorrvaskr. Besides Tilma, everyone was asleep. Torvar must have been in his old room, since he wasn’t in the Harbinger’s room.

Jess and Aela went into the Harbinger's room together and Jess asked Aela to close the door. She woke up with the blessing of Lover’s Comfort a few hours later. Jess had wanted to do that with Aela for a long time. It was why she had agreed to become a werewolf, why she drank Aela's blood. Finally, she had received what she really wanted from Aela all along.

Jess and Aela got up early so the other Companions wouldn't catch them coming out of the Harbinger's room together. Skjor was asleep in his bed. Torvar was sleeping in a chair in the girls' bedroom, Ria and Njada asleep nearby. Why was he in their room? Jess and Aela slipped away before he saw them, and went to the back porch. Torvar emerged soon after. He seemed surprised, but was in very good spirits. Jess wasn't in a position to question her husband's fidelity at the moment.

Jess pondered why sleeping with Aela resulted in the blessing of Lover's Comfort, whereas previously she had received it with Torvar after being blessed by Mara. She had been newly blessed by Kynareth, and remembered that she had remained faithful to Kynareth by declining Froki's offer to send her on the trials of Kyne. She concluded that Lover's Comfort was Kynareth's reward for resisting Froki the hunter - a fitting blessing for her affair with Aela the Huntress. It made sense to her.

Jess and Aela spent the morning together, eating breakfast under the Gildergreen, tempering Aela's shield at Warmaiden's, and going to market. At the market, they spoke with Fralia and agreed to meet her at House Gray-Mane.

Fralia's son Avulstein claimed that the Imperial-aligned Battle-Borns were involved in the disappearance of his brother Thorald. If Jess could find evidence inside the Battle-Born house, she could help the Stormcloak-aligned family without officially taking a side in the war. Jess thought of Annekke, and believed that she would approve. But what of Aela? Jess and Aela conferred in private. It was too risky for Aela to help with the break-in, as it would be very bad for the Companions if Aela got caught.

"I should do it alone," Jess said. "If I get caught, I can get out of it."
"Because of your... connections?" asked Aela.
"Yes," Jess admitted, not wanting another episode like the one she had with Brelyna. "Because of my connections."
“Very well," Aela said. "I’ll wait at Jorrvaskr. Come get me when you’re done, and be careful.”

As Jess approached House Battle-Born, she noted the irony that she was about to break into Olfrid Battle-Born's house. After she was done, Jess returned to Aela.

“I found something,” she told Aela, and the two women studied the missive. “Are you in?”
“For now,” Aela said."Unless I have to do something illegal.”
They went back to House Gray-Mane.
“Hands to yourself, sneak-thief,” said a guard as they neared the house. How does everybody know?
They showed the missive to Avulstein. Thorald was being held by Thalmor at Northwatch Keep. They told Avulstein to stay put while they went to rescue his brother.

Jess had never been near Northwatch Keep. It’s a long way, but she’d have Aela with her, and… Oh no, she’d forgotten about Torvar! He would be at Jorrvaskr without her - but with Njada and Ria. Jess considered her options, and none were satisfactory. She returned to Jorrvaskr to see Torvar, and wondered if he would remain faithful while she was away.

It was after dark when Jess and Aela left. They camped at a small ruin east of Gjukar’s monument and didn’t get much rest. The next day, they continued to Solitude for rest and provisions. Aela hadn’t been to Proudspire before.

At Proudspire, Jess told Jordis about her recent marriage.
"To her?" Jordis asked, referring to Aela. Jordis seemed impressed.
"No, to Torvar. You met him once."
"Oh. Congratulations."

Jess and Aela left before dawn for Northwatch Keep. The trip was eventful. Bandits, assassins, and various nasties attacked them along the way.

Northwatch Keep was well-guarded. Aela hid behind a tree while Jess made herself invisible and sneaked to the fort to kill a couple of isolated Thalmor guards with her dagger.

Returning with Aela, Jess sniped a Thamor archer with her poisoned bow, and all Oblivion broke loose. So much for stealth - they were in a battle now. Jess spared nothing, frenzying a Thalmor archer and summoning two Dremora. Inside, they used similar tactics. They found Thorald and released him, along with the other prisoners. After sleeping a few hours, Jess and Aela traveled back to Solitude, arriving in the late afternoon.

Immediately, a Solitude guard said, “From what I hear, you’re the one gave Thalmor a black eye. You sure know how to pick your enemies.”
How did he know? Only Thorald found out who Jess and Aela are, and it’s extremely unlikely he came to Solitude or told anyone, anywhere.

Jess and Aela rested in Solitude for a couple of days. Jess asked Aela to go to temple with her to pray. Jess prayed to Dibella and recommended that Aela pray to Kynareth. Aela obliged, which made Jess happy. Maybe there was hope for her Daedra-worshipping friend.

They left Solitude the next morning. Exiting the gates, a guard mentioned that vampires had been reported at Pinemoon Cave again. Jess conferred with her werewolf friend, who agreed they should detour to the cave. After clearing the cave, they continued on, finding Clearpine Pond. While admiring the pond, Jess realized she had become infected, so she cured herself with hawk feathers. They arrived in Dragon Bridge around midnight.

Today in Skyrim, I've come back to the game and with it, I've made a whole new batch of characters: Edana, a sneaky Breton witch who focuses heavily on Illusion, Hjar the Faithful, a pious Nord cleric, and Lerexus Felis, an Imperial thief. Basically the trio of witch, cleric and archer I tend to have, haha. Hopefully I'll have tons of fun with them; the little I have played so far has been a blast.

More yesterday evening then today. I have started this altmer mage last week. And she had already done the dragon rising, in my time of need and way of the voice quests.
Spoiler:
My altmer mage Valisha was heading to Breezehome with Lydia after having arrived in Whiterun with Nettlebane she had retrieved for the priestesses Danica. She decided to first have some dinner at the Drunken Huntsmen before heading to bed. Next morning she did her usual round along the shop to make potions and sell of the loot and restock on petty soul gems before going to the temple to present the dagger.

There she was told where to find the Eldergleam and she approached by a pilgrim who wanted to join the duo on their way to Ancient tree. Alto she was unsure about his ability to handle himself in a fight he was welcome to join. The road should be relatively free considering how dealt with most of the hostile wildlife and bandits on their way back.

After leaving the gates the long jog towards the Eldergleam had begun. And for the most part it is most uneventful. Valisha captured some butterflies along the way. And used her lighting-spell to capture a few foxes. After crossing their first bridge something had happened. An assassin attacked the pilgrim and she quickly had to intervene. After dispatching the hitwomen she asked : “If there anyone that wants you dead Maurice?” “Not that I know off”, he said. Valisha then started to investigate the body and found a not from a certain Astrid telling her that someone had put a contract on her.

Hmm, she thought be herself, who could that be. Maybe those cultists that attacked her yesterday. Could be, alto this Miraak seems to like to work trough his cronies that to outsource. But there is no time to ponder it now. She quickly told Maurice and Lydia that they need to move on.

A short jog later they came across a mining camp. Where one of the miners asked Valisha to take a message to a certain Quintus in Windhelm. Changes are that she might be headed there soon so she accepted the letter. And moved North and entered the cave that should lead to the Eldergleam.

When they entered the grove Valisha could not believe that such a place could grow here underground with such little light. She heard say : “I never seen anything quit like this”. “It is indeed a beautiful sight, reminds me a bit of the forest lying next to my families estate.” They started walking down the pad and where greeted by man who was enjoying the sights and sounds of what according to his words is a sanctuary.

After she reached to roots of the tree, she took out Nettleblade and slashed at the first root. The root recoiled from the blade clearing the path, after she was done with the last root she looked behind her and wondered where Maurice was and walked back. And around the corner was confronted by the pilgrim

I did not know you where a woman of violence, what are you planning?
I need the sap to repair the tree in Whiterun
That is outrageous, I will not stand for this
Do you have a better idea?
I might, follow me

Valisha followed Maurice back to the tree where he started praying. After a while a sapling appeared and he said she should take it back to Whiterun. After thanking him for his help she walked back to the exist, wondering for a short moment what might have happened if she had slashed the trunk of tree to get the sap.

When leaving the sancurary she and Lydia heard the roaring sound of a dragon nearby. “By Auriel, the miners back south might be in danger.” And they rushed to invistigate where the sound was coming from. Valish was relieved it came from the north, but decided to head out anyway in case the dragon might hunt more to the south. Along the way an other assassin attacked. And after killing this one, she found out that she was once again the target. Shortly there after a blood dragon flown towards them and started attacking. After a long battle of trying to dodge it frost breath attacks the dragon came and she and Lydia and dispatched the dragon. Her faithful housecarl was more then willing to carry the bones back to their home for further study.

They headed back to the mining camp, all the while Valisha was glad that the dragon did not attacked the camp. She thought to herself that might not have been as lucky when a dragon attacked Ivarstead and they managed to slay it before it could claim any lives. When coming to the hot springs close to the mining side she said : “we really could use a bath, that dragon did swipe up a lot of dirt in the air.” “I agree my thane, I also think I might have overexerted my sword arm.” “Just let me take a look at it when we are in the water, I know some of the Restoration school”

After their bath they headed back on their way. Passing trough the camp they first where greeted by the little child. “Hi, I have never seen you around here before. Are you miners to.” “No, we are adventurous on our way back to Whiterun”, Valisha replied. Then a woman named Anneka walked towards the duo and said “I used to an adventurour like, the I got married and settled down” Valisha chuckled a little and thought of the all the guards who where suffering from knee wounds. Then she told them of a bandit hideout and asked them to deal with them in exchange of teaching them a few of her old scouting tricks.

While heading back to Whiterun they decided to clean out the cave, always good to make sure other travelers are not harassed. Alto it surprised Valisha to see that there where few patrols in this war torn country. You would think that both sides send out a lot more, she though by herself.

After crossing the bridge back home they where attacked by an other assassin. And later closer to home a fourth one appeared. “This is getting a bit tiresome.”, Valisha said after kicking the corpse of the cliff in to the river.

It was already late in the evening when they passed the city gated and she decided to first get some sleep before turning in the sapling. She was even to tired for a full meal and only ate some fruit before unceremoniously dropping on the bed. Before falling asleep Valisha started thinking about today, and who might have put a contract on her. That Miraak? Could be, but unlikely he seems to prefer to work trough his cronies, like those who attacked her when she came down from High Hrothgar. Maybe survivors of the bandit gangs she and Lydia had routed. Or that Sven-fellow who is angry at her for not helping in his scam. No use to worry about it know, lets first get some sleep.

After playing my character for the last few months, reaching the 60 hour mark, I decided that my character would be traumatized by all the experiences he's seen as Dragonborn(From the Dragonborn, Main Quest, and Dawnguard questlines). This character was the first character that I've kept for a long time, so I wanted to make some closure for him. I bought Honeyside, put all of the weapons that he's used and collected in the enchanting room, and gave my character the final closure I needed. It has been a fun experience playing as him.

Now, onto the next character. Hopefully this time a mage character!

While checking out a word wall in Ranveig's Fast, Felina heard Onmund cry out as he fell down a trap door on the floor behind her. She'd instructed him to go around it just like she did but, you know, it was dark in there.

Scared that her husband had fallen to his certain death, she jumped down the trap door as well in an effort to find him. A necromancer laughed wickedly when she plunked. Angry at his ill intentions, she summoned a daedric lord to slice him in half...then she and Onmund broke free of the cage.

They pursued their exploration of the ruins and found some treasures, living to see yet another day in love together. :)

Theives guild, Felinia, "cat" level 11 went to 12.
Started at the Warehouse at Solitude docks, tracking an Argonian into danger. Bailed on that job.
Started at the guild and took a few jobs from Vex. Delivered a dagger to a priest. Stole lots of loot from Windhelm. Investigated the mysterious candle at the Candlehearth Hall. Curious.
Broke into Arcadia's Cauldren, while Arcadia slept, Felinia crept upstairs to find Arcadia talking in her sleep. Discussing potions and rockjoint. Felinia, after being startled by the sleep-talker, relived Arcadia of her flawless gem. As she was leaving, Felinia heard Arcadia, say."can't a woman get any peace around here?" With that, Felinia slipped out of the back door unnoticed. Returned to Riften, slept over 19 hours like most cats do. Ready for another day.

Marilyn (II), having discovered a silver deposit in Fallowstone Cave and crafted herself a new batch of undead-slaying projectiles, set out northwards to meet Mercer Frey at Snowveil Sanctum. Just as she was about to depart, Ahkari's caravan arrived and set up camp outside Riften, reminding her that she still had to return Kharjo's moon amulet to its rightful owner. The grateful Khajiit warrior offered to accompany her for a while, and she gladly accepted.

Their journey went uneventful ecept for the odd troll or wolf on the road until they reached Windhelm. Kharjo would have come further, but Marilyn didn't think it wise to introduce him to criitical guild business, so she asked him to stay at Candlehearth Hall while she went to her rendezvous with Mercer alone. Her boss was already waiting for her at the entrance to Snowveil, and together they fought their way through the draugr infesting the ruins in search of the person responsible for the decline of the guild and the previous guildmaster's murder - who was indeed unmasked at the end, but not in the way Marilyn had expected. Suffice it to say that she survived the confrontation and was next sent to the College of Winterhold to request a college mage's help in proving the true culprit's guilt, only to be denied entrance because she sucks at magic*. Fortunately she found the mage in question at the local inn, but unfortunately he was unable to decipher the condemning document himself, directing her to his colleague Calcelmo at the other end of Skyrim instead.

So back to Windhelm it was, where she collected Kharjo, spoke to the local alchemist and agreed to retrieve the fabled White Phial for him from Forsaken Cave, which was promptly done (she still had enough silver arrows left to deal with Curalmil and his gang). She also met a hilariously humorous high-elf at Yorgrim Overlook (Interesting NPC Rumarin) who expressed interest in travelling with her and has taken quite a liking to him; which means Kharjo will be free to return to his caravan for the time being, because I can't afford to buy another follower horse and Rumarin has funnier dialogue (although it would be nice to have a Bosmer-Khajiit-Altmer team - my own little sneaky Dominion; maybe at some later time).

*I don't recall this happening to me before, and I wasn't even aware it was possible to fail Faralda's little test, but it does of course make perfect sense; it's always irked me how any dumb barbarian could enter the college after reading a spellbook or two and be promoted to arch-mage two weeks later.

Read a book called ''The Refugees''. It was pretty interesting, about the time before the Oblivion Crisis. I couldn't stop reading.

My Dunmer, Amara, has started following the Dragonborn questline over the last few days. Today she obtained a Black Book from Nchardak, went to Apocrypha and had an audience with Hermaeus Mora. He wants her to obtain knowledge from the Skaal for him, but she'll likely work on cleansing the All-Maker stones first.

She went to Tel Mithryn for trading next and helped Talvas clean up the mess he'd made with a summoning spell.

I've also created a second character today, an Imperial named Valeria Atrius. I'm aiming for a pure mage build with a focus on necromancy and illusion with her. So far, Valeria escaped from Helgen, discovered that her loot would not fetch enough gold to buy all the spellbooks from the Riverwood Trader, and started a career as a burglar in order to obtain the necessary gold.

Felina escaped from the Riften jail (which she managed to get herself into by attacking Haelga and killing that racist Snow-Shod). She managed to secretly kill the guards with a daedra and a conjured bow. She had to kill the woman in the cell next to her for screaming out for more guards. One of those jerks had her Staff of Magnus on him, which she rightfully took back--thank you very much.

Onmund waited for her outside the jail and they hacked their way to the stables. They had escaped when Felina decided to turn back and kill the last guard standing at the front gate. She was that [&@%!] they took her stuff.

Skooma withdrawals are getting to her, which clearly makes her one dangerous little woman. :/

Not sure why, but decided to get Ursula back to Solstheim. (have I mentioned I hate that place?)
Hidden:
Said goodbye to the family and friends at Heljarchen Hall and took the carriage to Windhelm. Markus was in rare form and said "Don't worry, I won't let a little snow stop us". Made it to Windhelm, then decided to say hello to Calder. I have not seen him in quite awhile, and he is probably lonesome. He needs glasses too, he greets me, "can I help you?" Slept an 8 hr. nite, and then headed to the docks. Hired a boat to Solstheim. My first stop was the Inn/bar to see if my friend, Sero could accompany me to check on the dig I funded. He was happy to come along. Good thing, since he is a real great help given the right tools. Thankfully, I brought with me a few charged staffs.
I am terrible with these things, but my followers have it down. We visited the Skald first. Had a new request to find a missing Werebear, brother. We left there and visited the dig site. Naturally there were problems there and all the crew Ralys(?) hired were dead. They did get a ways in and the Drauger killed them. Sero and I took care of that. Reported back to the surface, and then I was asked for more money, to continue. Naturally I parted with the coin, then we left. Working our way through a couple of intrigueing Dwemer ruins, with a few treacherous puzzles. Decided to go home for awhile and sleep. Brought Sero with, as he likes to leave Solstheim whenever he can. As soon as we got to town, another messeger arrived with a note about the dig. I says "[&@%!]-it" I am sleeping. Vorstag informed me we had been gone 5 days. Wow. Took everything off and went to bed. Sero was left daydreaming by the fire, watching the Bard sing her heart out.
That is how my first day back went.

Today I killed Believe the Magic Dragon from the UESP Black Sacrament mod, and boy was he tough on master. Luckily my small army of friendly nearby villagers helped carry the day!

Felina got close to Serana on their travel to Castle Volkihar, had too much mead and cried about growing up alone with her assassin father. Then they killed a bunch of gargoyles in the Undercroft. They also found Svidi for Sibbi Black-Briar. But since Felina adores her husband and would never think to betray him, she found Sibbi's mistreatment of his former fiancee rather lame. So she lied and said the girl ran off to Morrowind. He'll never know from behind bars...but Svidi better figure out someplace farther to go before he finds her. Felina is considering asking Svidi to become a follower, then leaving her at Hjerim for protection.

After purchasing all the DLC, I am happy to say that Arathir's adventures are soon to continue! :D First step; building up his house in Falkreath, setting a foundation for himself, No'nara, and his close friends, and maybe adopt a few kids.

Afterwards, it's off to the Dawnguard!
