Should I get it?

Post by Sublymonal »

I am having an awsome time with Morrowind, and I want to know If it is still worth getting, and what it's like.

P.S. If you could post some screenshots, that'd be great

This is a very inactive forum. I am not saying that you will not get a reply, just that the chances are slim. There is some really good info on the wiki though.

You might want to try asking Timmeh on the wiki. He's the Daggerfall guro. Just leave a message on his talk page, as he is phobic of the forums. :)

But I'd say it's worth getting. Then again, you are talking to a freak who still enjoys the Arena....

Timmeh's user page: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/User:Timmeh (you can access talk page via tab at top of page)

The major problem with Daggerfall is finding it. A copy in good condition can fetch anywhere from 50 to 200 dollars. If you can get your hands on it, I'd definately play it. It is always fun to see the roots of modern games, and a lot has changed from Daggerfall to Morrowind.

Hello. My answer is yes. Assuming you can get a copy. I personally robbed a friend.

Morrowind and Daggerfall have 2 different gameplay styles. Daggerfall has large dungeons with plenty to kill. And plenty of ways to get lost. Theres the main quest, and then there are quests that are given that follow many different formats, but have different destinations and different people involved. And different rewards. Its rather fun. And confusing to type about. The plot is excellent, but can be hard to follow.

Finding copies is hard. Frankly, unless if you can find a friend or relative that has a copy, you won't get one unless if you dish out lots of cash. And while its been out for a while, don't anticipate it coming out as freeware for a while.

Phobic of the forums? Vesna spreading dirty dirty lies again. *tsk* *tsk*

I don't think it will be distributed as freeware at all. There was a second developer (other than Bethesda), so the licenses will keep them from distributing it for free.

Back to playing Arena for me.
