OH GODS HELP (Tamriel Rebuilt-related)

Post by Sadachbia »

Something is wrong with my world and I can't fix it.

Levitating east from Kemel-Ze, I see what APPEARS to be a town (my draw distance is turned up to max), but as I get closer and it renders in more detail, everything disappears and turns into mountains and water.

I have a small plugin I made myself to fix a similar issue in Firewatch, but updating it doesn't help my problem. According to the CS, I *think* I should be in Helnim, but that shows up on my world map in an entirely different spot. The fact that my landscape-fixing plugin doesn't affect the disappearing town and cliffs, even though I used Mlox to make sure the load order is correct, tells me it's probably two master files conflicting with each other—but which ones? The only Tamriel Rebuilt addons I have enabled are TR_Data and TR_Mainland (they used to have a TR_Map1 and TR_Map2, but combined them into "Mainland" so that they can simply update that instead of releasing additional map plugins for every chunk of Morrowind).

I'm not entirely sure what the coordinates of the affected exterior cells are, but if I did, I would look at the "Details" pane of all my active .ESMs to find out which ones made changes that aren't compatible with each other.

Has anyone had similar issues? How did you fix them? Is this a known problem with Tamriel Rebuilt? (The fact that Helnim DOES exist in-game, just not where it's supposed to be, at least makes me freak out a little less.)

That looks like LOD that it's rendering. My guess is that the area is unfinished, and they just have the distant textures and meshes set to appear as they should: from a distance.
I'm not familiar with Tamriel Rebuilt, but that's my guess, that area's most likely under construction, and there shouldn't anythign wrong with your game.
