Blacklight: Day of the Wolf

Serra's limbs grew back.
"Chris do it!" Morgan shouted.

"You aren't listening. We are blacklight. We can defeat the demons when they are at their strongest, imagine what we can do when they are cut off from hell, weakened." Helion grumbled quietly. His guns still trained on Harry's heart.

[Kerr]

"But it'll end for them eventually. And maybe one day we can fix it." said Chris. Michael had admitted that the dead would fade away into non-existance. Chris had his hand over the button to activate the nuke. There's really no other way. "So Harry, you going to shoot me or not?" He looked at the fledgling vampire. He was sure whatever way this ended he would meet Michael again.

Harry mentally debated whethered to shoot chris or not whilst keeping his pistol aimed at him. "You damn well better be [&@%!] right." He told Chris. "Helion, get out of my [&@%!] face." he told the halfling in an angry tone as he aimed his pistol at the halflings face. Purely out of self defence.

Serra continued looking for her sword.

Serra found her sword just in front of her, it was still held tight in her severed arm.
Michael's sword was suddenly on Chris' neck.
"Think about what you're doing."

Helion's other gun moved to Michael, aiming for the angel. Sure it won't affect him, but it'd give Chris a chance. "You get out of mine." He stated angrily, glowering at the vampire. He kept his eyes switching between the two. "See how your angel is trying to strong arm his decisions onto Chris? Imagine what it'd be like once he take over, and kills all those that oppose him. He could kill us easily once he has the Volundrak!"

Harry changed his aim to the corrupted angel and said "True and no doubt he would use us for his dirty work. So [&@%!] it, activate the nuke, Chris."

[Kerr]

"I'm sorry." said Chris to Michael with a lot of remorse and sadness in his voice. "See you around Michael." He pushed the button.

Harry opened fire at Micheal in an attempt to give Chris time to push the button. He aimed for Micheal's wings in an attempt to avoid hitting CHris and to gain the angel's attention.

"No!" Michael shouted as Chris pressed the button, he moved the blade and Chris' head came away from his body.
Michael turned, utterly enraged but spoke.
"Make your choices," Michael said, "Do not become my enemy."

"Too late." Harry told the Angel. "Lucificer, can you get everyone apart from Micheal out of here?" He asked the devil as he opened fire at the angel.

Helion's two demonhammers unleashed their load at Michael. He stepped backwards glancing at the others. "We gotta go if you don't mind."

"NOOOO!!!" Serra screamed as Michael killed Chris. She rushed to her friend's body, leaving her sword behind. She picked Chris up and cradled him in her arms. "You son of a [&@%!]," she said with tears streaming down her face.

[Archer]

"Get us out!" Beriadan yelled angrily at Lucifer, starting at the corpse of Chris. "We never should have believed you..." He muttered sadly, his comment directed at Michael.

Epilogue- The Devil You Know

Lucifer teleported everyone out- including Chris' body- just before Michael and the source were engulfed in nuclear fire. When the group looked around, they saw they were just outside St Petersburg.

"So what happened next?" The man asked.
The figure stood up and looked down at him before speaking.
""And so Delta destroyed the source, damning those who died to wander for countless generations. But from their 'evil' choice came good.
Angels, Daemons and Demons were drastically weakend and a new world order- the Neo Templars- acted as a rallying point for humanity in this brave new world. They were taught by the survivors of Blacklight and would act as the new defenders of mankind.
Then came the Cataclysm.
Roughly two months after destroying the source, magical energy exploded into the world and tore it apart, continents drifted over night, magical storms tore across the land and the weather changed dramatically. The worst to come though was The Fallen, the source acted as their Prison but after its destruction they were free to reap the Earth.
The Templars quickly found out that this was Blacklight's doing and ordered a purge of the remaining members of Blacklight, all but decimating the already shattered group. After this, the Templars became very pro-human and put their training to use against anything supernatural or anything that opposed them.
Not everything from this choice was bad though, ghosts could be reasoned with and rather than just wander, many chose to help in anyway they could- which is mainly through teaching.
Lucifer also struck a fragile peace between a number of groups, The Saint Petersburg Independency, Blacklight and the Vampires would not attack Daemons and Daemons would not attack them- to help strengthen this, Blacklight offered to help fight the Templars and Daemons execute any Demons they find attacking members of the truce. The Peace was fragile, but it lasted- in recent years they have even lived together in relative harmony. Vampires- now ruled by Morgan have made a strong recovery from volunteers and they help keep St Petersburg safe from feral Lycans."
"But what about Volundrak?" The man asked.
The figure paused for a moment as if deciding what to say.
"That's a tale for another time."

Thank you so much everyone for taking part in Blacklight! I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, feel free to post character epilogues and once I've had everyone's, there will be a little tease for Blacklight 2 and i'll share the alternate ending.

Harry suffered from depression a few months after Delta nuked the sourced and alcholism due to him losing Alice and Gamma team. But thanks to Morgan and other members of Blacklight, he recovered and got over Alice. He helped to train many members of the Neo-Templar and fell in love with a woman named Zoe. They started dating. He also helped to raise Dante and came to regard him as his own son.

But when the Neo-templars attacked Blacklight, Harry was forced to kill Zoe when she attacked him. He lost his left eye in the process and almost lost his leg.But it grew back over time. He decided to retaliate by attacking various Neo-Templars.

He would disappear for months at a time but made sure Morgan and Dante were safe first.

He ambushed small patrols. Blew up supply trains. Assainated the odd important person in the Neo-templars and so forth. From creating firestorms out of the blew to putting a bullet in between their eyes. The Neo-templars felt his rage. He soon became one of their most dangerous enemies and they became his. He also named his Anti-matieral Rifle "Alice" and his pistol Gamma in tribute of his lost team and friend. He kept an eye out for any signs of Micheal but did not hear anything. He had a healthy fatherly relationship with Dante despite his disappearing act and tried to keep in touch with the other members of the team.

Apart from Helion. Due to the halfling killing Alice and Harry did not trust himself to not kill him.

He developed a friendship with Morgan. her and Dante became his main priorities and he put them above everywhere else. When a small attack party sent by the Neo-Templars attacked their hideout, he ordered them to get out. He argued with Morgan and convinced her to get out not for her sake but dante.

He killed the attack party but was killed in the proccess. Fortunatlly, they didn't destroy his heart and Morgan managed to bring him back. He drained the dead Templars of their blood to restock their blood supplies.

He also trained Dante to use firearms. And learned how to use a sword.

Chris:
Chris was reborn in Saint Petersberg as a Russian white girl with blond hair, hazel eyes and a number of freckles and was named Misha Tabakov. Her mother was Sasha Tabakov and father was Alex Tabakov both in their mid 20's when Misha was conceived. Alex had dirty blond hair and green eyes and Sasha brown hair and hazel eyes. Alex died shortly before Misha was born, he had been killed by a werewolf. Sasha was a primary school teacher before the Day of the Wolf and continues to be one. It took a while but eventually Misha was able to pick up the Russian language, at least to a basic extent. When she was 4 and going on 5 she saw Morgan in the city and ran right up to hug her, explaining who she was. She was able to get her demonhammer and rings back off Morgan. She was even able to visit her own grave, strange as that was.

On her 5th birthday she had Morgan come over to her home, to help convince her mother of her true nature. Sasha was taken a back but able to be convinced and accepted it. She also came to the conclusion that outside of learning Russian there was no real need for Misha to keep going to school, instead she could just learn Russian at home. Misha also went with Morgan to meet with James Blackwood, her brother who was still human and part of the city's defence force, he was even still using the rifle Chris had given him. They were able to convince James that she was Chris. James didn't believe it at first, and likely wouldn't have if not for Morgan but was able to be convinced and glad his brother was still alive. After this Misha was fairly open about her nature as a Reborn.

Having to no longer go to school and rather just learning Russian from home Misha had more free time and was able to interact with her brother, Morgan and others more often. She also got to know Dante as a result. Misha still isn't entirely sure what to do when she grows up, she's seriously considering joining the defence force of the city but is still too young to do serious work. Misha still felt guilty over activating the nuke, and while people know she was part of Blacklight she didn't mention that she personally activated the weapon.

I using a two sided die on an internet dice roller to see what sex Misha would end up being. Came up female so there you go. I'm thinking Misha looks like a younger version of Heather Mason, assuming Heather was a natural blond.

I'm hoping it is okay that a non-vampire is still part of the people who defend the city. Justice, if you want I'll change anything I will.

Beriadan
For a while after the incident at the source, Beriadan struggled on with his life and stuck with Blacklight for a while. After a while, though, the memories of that day became too much, and so Beriadan took to the bottle. He tried to keep training the new Templars in proper swordsmanship, but his constant drunkenness meant that he was often aggressive and violent in his methods.

This culminated when, in a drunken rage, he killed three students of his, all of whom were reduced to nothing but ash. After that, he fled from both Blacklight and the Neo-Templars, hoping to find a new purpose in the hell-hole of a world he had found himself in. After much traveling, and very little interaction with any living being, Beriadan remembered what he had forgotten oh so long ago.

The memories of the death of his love filled him, and the knowledge that they would never meet again only made it worse. How he had been too late to save her, and his defeat at the hands of that vile demon. It was now that he determined he would set out and take revenge. Not by killing the demon. No, that would too good for him. Beriadan now spends his time thinking of the best ways to obtain his revenge, and the proper torture methods that he should use, when he's not tracking him down, of course.

And Helion? Helion wandered. After spending a few years in venice, his guns and swords away within a box, he gathered his birds, and began his own transmissions service. Trying to keep in contact with Delta, and others. He wandered and grew stronger for it, dispatching anything that fought him, and befriending anything that didn't. Before long his birds were always in the sky, a quiet delivery, a silent note. This was Helion's business. Using Smuggly he was aided even further able to take to the skies himself able to fly to teleport he wandered and helped.

That is all Helion did in five years. He would be 21 by then.

Serra buried Chris' body and then began to help with the training of the Neo-Templars. One night she saw a man and woman kissing in a darkened alley. She continued to watch as their kissing turned to touching and then went beyond, into a more intimate act. She watched and remembered the fun she used to have as a Daemon. Heaven - the one reason she wanted to regain her glory - now shut up tight, she decided to give in to her former nature. Her eyes went black and her body was wracked with pain from the transformation, but at the end she was once more Lust. She joined the two humans in their intercourse.

When the Neo-Templars went rogue she sided with Morgan and her vampires, helping to keep St. Petersburg safe and in return having her pick of the litter, so to speak.

"I don't understand," The Man said to the figure, "Why are you telling me this? Like you said, the Neo-Templars ordered a purge, Blacklight is dead."
The figure chuckled and took the hood and the five year old Blacklight helmet off.
"Because," Annebeth Hawks said, "Blacklight lives."

No one would bend to Michael, Vampires and Lycans put aside bad blood, Angels and Hellspawn stopped fighting and a new world order- the Neo Templars- acted as a rallying point for humanity in this brave new world. They were taught by the survivors of Blacklight and would act as the new defenders of mankind. The combined races managed to hold the line in Europe against Michael but he slowly beat them back.
Then came the Cataclysm.
Roughly two months after saving the source, the Templars decided they needed to strike hard against Michael before he wiped them all out. A huge attack force went for Britain and they were all but decimated. Morgan and her Vampires were the only ones who made it to the source- they activated the nuke and payed the ultimate price, Humanity's strongest allies in dark times were finally made extinct. Though Morgan and every single Vampire that day became a saint, dead but never forgotten.
Of course the explosion of magic had a devastating effect on the world, continents drifted and winters lasted for ten months a year- but it was seen as the lesser evil.
The Templars quickly found out that it was Blacklight's inaction that caused this horrible war with Michael, they felt betraued and ordered a purge of the remaining members of Blacklight, all but decimating the already shattered group.
This one act destroyed the fragile war forged peace, Lycans -without vampires to keep their numbers in check- grew out of control, they quickly became a true danger for everything and slaughtered a great many non-Lycans. In the chaos, Hellspawn and Angels resumed their era long war and the Templars -already reeling from the last war- were caught in the middle, they lost Moscow and were forced to fall back to St Petersburg which became the new human capital of the world. In recent years, the fighting decreased a little and non-humans have been allowed to enter and live in St Petersburg, but they are still treated with a rightfully placed mistrust."
"But what about Volundrak?"
"That's a story for another day."

He gladly offer his help. He snapped out of his depression and gave Dante to another member of Delta team. He outfitted himself with everything he could get his hands on and helped to break through Micheal's defenses.

During the journey, Micheal's angels ambushed the team and chased them through the tunnel. Untill they arrived at the spot where Alice died 2 months before. She requested that a few stay behind to buy her and the others some time. And harry volunteered. As well as 3 others.

Harry and the 3 vampires fought the angels whilst Morgan and her team made their way to teh source. The 3 vampires fell before Morgan got to the source and Harry was left to hold the line. By himself.

He knew he couldn't hold them back for much longer but he did so anyway. He lasted a minute before they overwhelmed him but he had prepared for a last stand and was carrying a lot of explosives on him. He detonated him during his final moments whilst shouting Alice's name. By doing so, he gave Morgan the time she needed to destroy the source.

He was surprised to wake up in heaven and spent the rest of time in Heaven.
