"I only ran away because everyone tried to kill me! Anyone would of done the same in my place! No one would of stood there and let themselves die! Don't you forget that no one has seen Duruza, he might be the cultist and just making sure no one knows where he is!" Selezen stated to everyone around her.

I think that's it though, that means that ZeRoc wins i believe... poor me, first dead in a MBG.

I guess so, but Mars still has to vote, and AKB will have to decide when the voting is over.

Yep. I've been pretty silent, as I can't do anything in-character. I haven't been posting much just due to the nature of an MBG - as we are all aware, OOC speculation/posts don't always tend to be helpful, and can sometimes be the opposite. Can't wait until I get to come back in :P

"No one has seen Duruza?" Runs-with-Dunmer queried, "We all know that can't be true. There's no way off the island now, and either someone attacked him if he is not in league with Bal, or someone here knows what his plans are if he is. If nobody admits to knowing his whereabouts, then somebody is lying."

She cast her eyes critically over her companions, almost glaring. "In the end, the truth will come out. I intend to ensure it."

'You said that you believe that you know who the cultists are now. How do you suddenly know this?' Lara said curiously to Runs-with-Dunmer.

"This is a difficult situation," M'hras assessed. "This one doesn't know what is true, who he can trust, and who he cannot. It is very unfortunate, but a risk must be taken. If the majority of his fellow townsfolk believe that Selezen is guilty, then for now so does M'hras."

Lara looked at Selezen in sympathy.

There was no escape for Selezen this time. The townsfolk would not turn their back on her again, knowing she might try to escape. She knew she was to be killed for suspicion of involvement with the cultists, and there was nothing to be done about it. She lowered her head and closed her eyes, the rest of her body going limp in the face of the end.

The Breton did not open her eyes again. Words may have been said, she may have been prodded to moved, before being physically lifted. It didn't matter. If she could not physically escape, at least her mind would be free in its last moments. Moments from her life came before those shut eyes. She saw him again, the man that years ago hunted her down for her spree of thefts, only to steal her heart. He brought her out of that life of poverty, made a proper citizen out of her.

When he passed away some years, she felt the goodness that he brought into her life slowly leave her. Still she refused to return to her old lifestyle. She felt like she was drifting away from it all, so she decided to stay put. Not become the criminal she knew was capable of being. When she died, she intended to be reunited with her husband in the grave and afterlife. She surely didn't want to return to him via the hangman's noose, or the headsman's axe. So she shut herself in, and shutting her past out.

The cruel irony of this reformed thief being executed for someone else's crime only dawned on her as she felt a rope tied to her neck, and the world give away from her feet.

Selezen has been lynched by the mob to drive out the cultists. She was not a cultist. She was however:

The Thief - Skilled at hiding in plain sight, this character can choose to go into hiding for a day. This will protect them from the mob, should they be chosen.

Four Threes decided to return home this night. He felt bad for killing Selezen, and worse when they realised that she was not a cultist. He just hoped he wasn't next.

M'hras hissed, and returned to his home. He would not be relying on popular opinion again.

Do'vah tried to avoid crying after realising that Selezen was not a cultist and failed to. He went with Mu to the tavern as tears ran down his cheeks.

"I didn't even know Khajiit could cry," Mu said quietly when he saw Do'vah's state. He handed him a folded napkin from one of the tables.

"Khajiit can cry." Do'vah said as he wiped his eyes. "Do'vah wishes that we had killed the murderers and not...not someone innocent." He told Mu as he cried into his arms.

"I wish the same," Mu said. "But how are we to know who is a killer and who is not?" He paused a moment before sighing gently. "I suppose you and I are killers now," he said, "we have innocent blood on our hands."

Nanzus went home with the death of an innocent weighing down on his shoulders. Suzy didn't utter a single honk for the rest of the evening.

"Do'vah should kill himself." Do'vah said to Mu whilst he cried into his furry arms as the guilt of killing an innocent assaulted every fibre of his body.

"Do'vah won't insult her memory by killing himself." Do'vah told Mu as he wiped his eyes with the napkin. "Do'vah hopes that we will catch them." He told Mu as he blew his nose on the napkin and rested his head on the table. "Do'vah is very sad and would like to be left alone so he can mourn for Selezen." He said to Mu.

Mu obliged the Khajiit's wishes and went behind the bar. He began washing the used glasses with a wet rag, drying them one at a time and setting them back in their place under the bar.

Okay well it does seem that ZeRoc won our little game of kill or be killed... Also, just so he knows, i kind of chose his name randomly just because i was to lazy to go back and read, and then when Aarah said you were the first to accuse me i was like, totally meant to do that :P. To AKB, that was an amazing final moment for Selezen, I personally would not of made anything close to that if i were given the chance. While i was reading i was almost cheering how well you did it :D. Sadly though, i am the first dead in the first molag bal game i have participated in. I will continue watching, hopefully ZeRoc gets his just deserts, and hopefully the innocent win :D. The timing of my lynch was actually fortuitous as i got Skyrim legendary edition a couple days ago and now i don't have to worry about having to reply in a timely manner on this thread. I wish you all good luck for your respective sides, and i wish that i was there to join you.

Do'vah rested his head on the table and continued crying silently into his arms. But a sweetroll or two would help to cheer him up.

Darba went back to his home glumly, carrying his barely-touched basket of apples with him. Although the death was not on his conscience, as he had not voted to kill Selezen, the fact that they had killed an innocent villager made him sick to his stomach. After eating a measly dinner, he prepared for bed in the same way as the night before.
Start the groove.
