Leon took his first step off his little raft, slowly he climbed up the ladder till he reached the top and rested his bottom straight on the edge. He had a cheery look on his face to which he placed his hand behind head and gave a small chuckle "Yohoho.. glad you came by when you did.. any later and I would of been nothing but bones." He said, showing just how humbled and graceful he was, even if it was but a small act of kindness as it would appear.

I'm pretty certain killing an unarmed man who came by good intention, and ignoring a flag of truce of a fleeing ship.. really just doesn't rationalize a fair punch to the face in reaction to unneeded disrespect and insults :wat:

Spoiler:
The main crime was shooting the nephew of the king and threatening to turn pirate. Or am I imagining it?

But sure, this time I have a Cornish pixie to concentrate on. :P

"Aye, I don't know much of English history, but this Cornish man sounds like a pain in the ass." Allen looked to take another sip of his scotch, but found that his canteen had run entirely dry. Disappointed, he put the canteen back in his jacket and glared at the Welshman.
Hidden:
From either twisted standpoint of this argument, I will say that I'm not going to play my character any differently, regardless of how much you fear my petty pokes at Avery are going to result in all-out war.
Allen does not like the Welsh, and it's going to stay that way.

Leo looked at the man with his pistol, almost laughing at the stupidity. Calmly shuffling his special weighted cards he looked at the man, flipping them expertly between his hands. "Blade or card." He said softly so only the captain next to him could hear.

"My origins lie in, as you put it "rabid" Wales. I was born amongst smugglers and low lives, that would have been my career also, if it weren't for my English born parents who had fallen on hard times, and were forced to live amongst the scum. Still, they taught me about sailing, avoiding ships and the like. The navy was a chance at escape, and a chance for something better. I've come to captain the recently captured "Osprey". She hasn't officially been christened a royal vessel as of yet, but I have some hopes for her" replied Avery, sounding mildly proud at the mention of his ship. "My first mate here, is an Englishman, born in Portsmouth, grew up with the navy, comes from a long line of captains" he continued, giving his first mate a friendly pat on the back as he spoke.

Henry was standing right next to Matthew. Hope he doesn't shoot. Likely to hit me by accident. Or the Captain. That would be bad too. Henry decided to speak up. "Pointing guns makes a poor impression. Now do you have papers to prove visiting ships are meant to pay a tax and that you're authorized to collect one? Anyone could say they're a tax collector and collect some non-existent tax." said Henry.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Spoiler:
Archer has accepted my character and asked that I post the CS here for all to see, which is unfortunately another British Captain, albeit a bit of a exception though:

Name: Captain Elias Hooper
Sex: Male
Age: 28
Physical description: Dark brown hair, which is side parted and forms into sideburns which reach the bottom of the jaw of his average length face. Although required to wear a white wig for his rank and role, the minute he is at sea or out of sight of his peers, he throws it to one side. Medium built and fairly athletic, some would say he’s lanky.
Personality: Fellow British Naval officers believe Elias is a mad man, too lost in his own world to be an effective Captain. Yet if you were to ask one of his crew-members, they’d kindly explain to you how Elias is one of the most cunning and intelligent Captains to roam the high seas. On board his ship he is a revered only in a way a pirate captain would be. Sailors tell tales of his decisiveness, his opportunism, his wit and most often, his cruelty, not physical cruelty, but emotional cruelty, no one can expect to be safe with Captain Elias Hooper around them, not pirates, not the Spanish, not the French, not even the British. Although other ships should show wariness when seeing Captain Elias’ ship on the horizon, it is likely he would rather interact more civilly with you rather than blow the front of your ship off, even if you were a pirate.
Weapons and related skills(Please list from most skilled to least skilled): Muskets, hand-to-hand, sword fighting
Apparel: Royal Navy captain’s uniform, white wig when around superiors which is immediately thrown off any opportunity he gets.
Backstory (At least a basic one.): Born in Newcastle, England, Elias was a street urchin, living off paltry pickings and beggars hand-me-downs, however at the age of thirteen, he saw an opportunity, the Royal Navy, they would feed him, bathe him and pay him. It wasn’t long before he was on-board a ship, the HMS Atlas. For five years he managed to survive as a deck-hand, mopping up, cleaning about etc, until the Captain too a liking to him, for which he took him on as an apprentice of sorts, an exception in the Navy. For seven years Elias earned favours here and there of the work he did in Royal Navy ports and British colonies, until eventually he found himself second-in-command to the Captain, but that wasn’t good enough for Elias. One calm night when engaging a frankly pathetic pirate ship off the coast of Malta, all was going smoothly, until a stray bullet hit the Captain straight in-between his eyes, yet the bullet hadn’t came from the pirate vessel, it came from Elias’ gun, he used the engagement as an opportunity to take command of the ship. Ever since Elias has been Captain Elias, and despite the majority of the crew having a sneaking suspicion of what happened that night, no one questions it, as they know Elias treats them right.
Allegiance (Any seafaring nation, or Pirates.): Great Britain
Position that you desire: Captain
Ships type/size, Description, Name : British Royal Navy, HMS Atlas, Third-Rate Ship. 70 Guns.
Pirate's Code for your ship: Captain Elias Hooper respects his crew and is due respect back. There are equal shares, no scuffles amongst men, save the fight for the enemy (whomever Elias deems it is), and above all respect the decisions the Captain makes.
Your Flag: Union Jack
Other: Elias has a way with words and can often trick those he talks to into doing things for him, he’s also quite sneaky. Can also speak small parts of Spanish, French and Dutch.

Now i'll get started
Elias gazed at his reflection in his room's mirror for a good few minutes, making sure every inch of his uniform was up to standard. He took off his hat to re-align the parting in his dark brown hair, before replacing it at a perfectly placed angle. Whilst brushing a small bit of gunpowder off his cheek he could hear someone approach his door, undoubtedly his First-Mate, the crew knew he had no time for anyone else unless he was aboard the deck itself. The man knocked and shouted through the door, "Sir, remember you've got a meeting to attend to, and I doubt the governor would be happy if you were late".

Elias almost sneered at the thought of this 'meeting', he hated things like this, he could see it now, some pompous and arrogant [&@%!] of an aristocratic nature marching about his room as if he owned the world. With that he stormed out of his cabin, his First-Mate in sharp attendance.

"I've got your wig for you here sir, in case you need it of course", the First Mate stated quite pettily.

"Oh John, you know that is a job for one of the lads on deck, you are far above that", Elias exclaimed as he strutted down the gang-plank onto the docks.

"I'm still struggling to get used to my job, sir", John Davison replied, the hulking First-Mate, who stood at around six foot five inches was a giant of a man, who in Elias' opinion, was in desperate need of a haircut, his long blonde hair tied up at the back.

Elias stood on the dock and surveyed his surrounding, almost ignoring what his First-Mate had said, "Hm, I see British ships, but no British captains, I knew this meeting would be a farce", making sure to exaggerate the word meeting to show his distaste for it, then he spotted his compatriots, to which he jogged toward, his First-Mate in tow, "I wonder if these men are as arrogant as the men they serve", he pondered aloud as he made his way towards his fellow Captains.

"Nothing at all really, I don't see people as enemies simply because of their heritage. Haven't met too many Cumbrians myself, but in terms of the land, well, it's proximity with Scotland has led to some, disagreements, with England I believe. The north rubbing off on them" replied Avery cautiously, watching Cornwallis carefully and curiously.

Allen, obviously bored at the idle English chatter, was getting a bit anxious just standing around, until he finally spoke. "This is all riveting, gentlemen, but I believe we have a Governor to grace with our company. Shall we?" His tone was very sarcastic, and with eyes filled with expectations, he glanced at each of the captains quickly, assessing each and every one of their physical reactions to his statement.

Elias began stuttering his jog as he reached arrived at the group of his compatriots, "I trust you're all here for the Governor's meeting?", he surveyed the group, to see if he could recognise any of the three; not at all.

Four of us? Those pirates had better start running...
"I'd say we still have the better part of a hour, from what the courier told me. Still, lateness is a discourtesy to others, we had best hurry, we'd need to make a good first impression if this is to be our assignment" said Avery, looking around the dockyard and at Spanish Town.

I was thinking about doing a Spanish or Dutch naval captain, but the prospect of google translating things sent shivers down my spine.
"Alright then 'lads', I propose we go early, I don't think i'm the only man here that hates meetings, and the sooner we get it over with, the better", Elias nodded at his towering First-Mate, he turned and started walking off the docks toward the town, beckoning the others to follow, "Now, I have no clue where this Governor resides so one of you will have to show me".

"Aye!" Allen abruptly shouted out, raising his empty canteen toward Elias, showing his mutual disdain for meetings. "This man's head is in a good place." With that, he started toward the recently joined captain as well, motioning with his hand for the others to follow.

The British
The men standing on the docks, chatting about these various matters, would soon notice a young boy, dressed in the same fashion a servant would be. It seemed the Governor was prepared sooner than expected.

Sally R.
Actually, Sally did have a choice. Granted it wasn't the most desirable option, but an option nonetheless. Regardless, she had chosen her path, and was soon escorted out of the tavern, which proceeded to act like nothing ever happened. The man led her to an alley behind the tavern, where he made her stop. "Now that we're all alone, wha' should we do?" He asked, a devilish smile displayed upon his face.

The Lady Lucine
"Hmmph. Thought this was going to be easy." the man muttered to himself, though it was still audible to the entire dock It was then that a lowly dock worker strolled past, just doing his job carrying cargo back and forth. That was when the man grabbed him and put the pistol to his head. "Now. Pay up or he dies." he spoke, clearly insane at this point. The dock worker replied with a "Timmy, what the hell are you doing!?"

Don Leon
"That might not change, actually." the man spoke casually in his thick African accent. "Tie him up and put him with the others." he stated as we walked away, the rest of the crew slowly approaching Don, much like one approaches a wild animal.

Sally believed that causing an all out fire fight in the tavern was not the best idea thus she elected to go with the man.

"Don't suppose you could put your flintlock away?" She said to the man in a causal tone. She intended on overpowering him and killing him as soon as she got the chance and would just try to buy herself some time.

"Do you really want his blood on your hands?" Timmy asked, pushing the muzzle harder against the side of the hostages head. A muffled "This isn't part of the plan!" could be heard despite the hostage's effort to stay quiet.

Sally R.
The man let out a deep, hearty laugh lowering his pistol for just a moment. "You really don't get it, do you?" He managed to say once he regained his composure. "First things first. My name's Jack, and you?" He asked, still holding the pistol up, just in case.

Henry was worried now, he didn't want the hostage to be killed. But he couldn't pay up. "Think about this, you only have one shot." said Henry. "You've already threatened us. You kill him, you'll be shot down in seconds. Won't have time to run or reload. Only way you survive this is taking the captain up on his offer and leaving, now."
