LOL!

I wonder if that means there are tons more adult humans out there than elves.

About the same - what the humans gain in reproductiveness they lose in longevity.

Except an entire army worth of elves was killed 30 years ago. That's chances for men to be born and have children of their own about to come of age. Elves, not so much.

Possibly, there's other factors to consider...

I'm pretty sure Elves mature at around the same rate as humans, but then age more slowly afterwards. They're also less fertile than humans apparently, except under specific circumstances. It seems mating with humans or beastfolk makes them more fertile if we can go by the Real Barenziah, but this is frowned upon in most Elven societies (with the exception of Bosmer apparently.)
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I'd go with that assessment.

Niranye is the first that I can think of, there are actually quiet a few that are rather kind, if not for the hardships they face rather than smug pride

I have a question about the name of Chimer...and maybe some Bosmers
I noticed in some of the Chimer name, the surname goes before given name, such as Indoril Nerevar, and the House Dagoth also put their surname first. There might be some same cases in Camoran but I am not quite sure...
So is that a custom of Chimer, or Elves, or...whatever explanation?

There is no explicit explanation; it remains an apparent inconsistency. Voryn Dagoth doesnt fit a surname-first convention, either.

Voryn Dagoth is not, but Dagoth Ur is surname first, and all the others in Dagoth went the same way.
Seems like some kind of tradition but can't find any literature on it.

I'm curious about the Imperial City during the Thalmor occupation (4E 174-175), and there doesn't seem to be any info other than this:
The Imperial Palace was burned, the White-Gold Tower itself looted, and all manner of atrocities carried out by the vengeful elves on the innocent populace.
What else went on during that time? Were the citizens allowed any semblance of their normal lives?

Think of how most wars would occur inside of city walls.. buildings would be battered, burned, and looted. Citizens would b slaughtered and all sort of wrongful deeds. Beloved landmarks and cultural idols would topple. The scars of war would run deep...

We really don't know what happened much at the time, but history would say during and shortly after the battle, no mercy would be shown. Now if they chose to occupy them, it would be no different than a large scale hostage threat.. So expect strict authority and forced labor. This however is granted if they chose to occupy.... and not massacre..

The palace and tower get burned and looted once, the atrocities take place over the rest of the occupation.

Ah, now I get it. The wording in the book made me think those things happened in short succession. Thanks, guys. :)

Just what excatly is Dawn/Dusk. The blades that is. I doubt anyone on Nirn created them as it seems like something that a Daedra would create.

It's an Akaviri sword, made by the Tsaesci, the Snake People.
