Recently my Ma got a vid of our african grey Morgan making some of the cutest sounds :D she like's to call them baby talk, and it literally sounds like a tiny baby puppy!

However in truth it's their native mating call, and only owners who really have a close bond with this type of bird would witness it. Their naturally overly social, so that explains why they tend to bond so well and love ever bit of attention.. sadly they are also really rough when playing or cuddling and tend to be very destructive yet smart >_<

Still, Morgan really wanted some attention and rarely does he really want off his cage(he spazes out at times) plus my Ma is really the only one who can safely handle him. By the time my Ma was near he literally leaped off and 'tried' to fly to her, and the whole time he was making his baby noises. Once in her office she took a vid. I would like to share it.. you would die by pure cuteness.. but due to privacy I cannot :( If it was on youtube maybe, but any other links would lead to facebook, and thus why the concern.

I can however share an example of how it sounds through a random vid on youtube

We got a new puppy today, and we're thinking of naming him Otis. We wondered how our older dogs would react, but they've pretty much been ignoring him, actually, and just let him tag along with whatever they're doing. Pictures:

Such an innocent face, but a second after looking at you like that he'll take a running start at you, jump into your lap, and grab your coat or your wrist in his teeth. We're trying to train him out of that.
We've also discovered that despite the fact that we got him toys - a bone, a ball, and a rope - his favorite thing to play with is the plastic cup that I accidentally left on top the doghouse the other day.

Got some shots for the kitten I posted above. Turns out, it isn't a true calico. Instead, it is a tortoiseshell. The two are similar, but a calico has white as the dominate color while a tortoiseshell has very little white, if any at all. This kitten as a little white, but not much. Also, males are basically the same with both calico and tortoiseshell. They are very rare and when they do happen, they're sterile.

I had no idea, but I learned something new.

@Alarra: Wow what a cutie ; n;/ It looks like he'd be the size my Shadow is right now lol.
Speaking of Shadow, he seems to just blend in with everything he comes in contact so it's always been hard to prove that he even exists. But that's okay because when I /do/ get at least decent photos of him, they're always really cute. Anyways, lately he's been sleeping like this on the couch and he blends in so well someone almost sat on him the other day.
Riley on the other hand, is pretty much impossible to miss.

My guinea pig Mama died last night. I'd adopted her about 3 1/2 years ago and wasn't sure how old she was exactly, but I knew she was pretty old. Yesterday morning she was very lethargic and didn't eat or drink; I'm glad she didn't suffer too long. Goodbye, Mama.

My condolences man, my spider just died today too, had her for a couple of weeks and I just found her dead this morning.

I've always had cats. Love dogs too, but I've always had cats.

Currently, I have two cats. They're brothers, I've had them since they were born (found their mother in a rest stop where someone abandoned her  Had to give her away, though, she was too wild. Gave away the rest of the litter, too) Intended to give them away, so they didn't get very creative names.

One is named Spot. He's a fluffy white cat with two black spots where his ears meet his forehead on top, a large spot on his back, on his belly, and then half of his tail. He's VERY friendly and loves attention, but is also a bit of a coward if he doesn't know you. The other is named Bat, because he's all black and his face reminded me of a bat. He's very sleek and reminds me of Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service. He's kind of standoffish and just looks at you like "what? you want me to move? no." but now and again when he wants attention, he wants his belly rubbed and he stretches out full length. He's my favorite  You'd think Spot, who's the more active and bigger one was the dominant of the two, but really, Bat rules the house. He tolerates his brother's more irritating play, then let's him know what-for. They do play, though, and love to curl up yin-yang with one another. I'll try to rummage up some pictures.

I also have a big fat white male rat named Loki, and a red-eared slider named Squirt (after the baby turtle from Finding Nemo).

I've had a number of other pets in the past, from a male duck and a rooster, to dogs, to rabbits. And there are numberous feral cats running around the place, from where people dump them off :(

Haven't posted these two here, so...

The hedgehog. Picture is blurry because it refused to stay still long enough for me to get a half decent shot.
I consider it a rescue animal. I got it from the people my brother live with. They had tried to sell it, but nobody wanted it. They gave the hedgehog to me saying that it would at least be cared for. I tend to let it out of the tank every day or so to wander around for a while. That picture was taken just after I put it back in its tank.
And here it is all curled up to sleep.
I have no idea what sex the hedgehog is, but I get the impression it might be male. Maybe. Maybe not. The original owners said it was fairly young (less than a year old), but it's a little on the rough side. I'm not surprised considering their children played with it.

And this is the four-legged monster that my brother keeps shoving on us. Purebred Rottweiler, probably around 5-6 months old. Hyper as anything and a pain in the arse to control. She hasn't been to a training session in a few weeks because of my brother's knee surgery (my mom would have taken her, but she isn't strong enough to handle the dog on her own) and she's forgetting what she was taught. She's going back to her old habit of biting everyone, particularly feet. Especially feet with socks or slippers on. And my hands and sleeves. Sometimes my face. Or my hair.
Here she is, seconds from sneezing on me.
I happened to have a toy nearby. Took a few attempts to get that. I got bitten many times. You're supposed to go for the toy, dog. Not. My. Hand.

She. The dog is female. If you gave her a hug, you'd probably get gassed. We were having a hard time finding a food that she could eat without upsetting her stomach. Apparently she has dog allergies.

I was going to clean my hedgehog's tank earlier and my mom suggested putting it in the bathtub. I stuck its wheel in there, too, since I was going to clean it (the wheel was covered in several layers of crap). Apparently the hedgehog decided it likes the tub. Climbed right onto the wheel and went running.
Slightly surprised by the camera.
Looking away.
And now it's back to running.

And then I wondered, "Would the hedgehog keep running if I put enough water in there to soak the bottom portion of the wheel?"
The answer...
Is a yes.
Now the hedgehog is cleaning its wheel for me. Making one hell of a mess of the tub, though. This is great.

The tape is to stop the wheel from sliding around and banging against itself while the hedgehog runs. Just in case you were wondering.

Edit:
I'm actually impressed that the hedgehog is still going. Might be able to knock off those last few stubborn chunks of crap.

So... My brother just randomly came over here and dropped off this little black kitten. Apparently she's a survivor of the kitten massacre that occurred over at the house he shares (long story short: one of the cats that belong to the people he live with had kittens. Most of them died -one was killed by a dog, another by a snake). This kitten was the lucky one that managed to hide for a couple of weeks, probably being fed by the other cats. She was only discovered earlier today. My brother has brought the kitten here so we can care for it. Probably the best thing he's done.

Edit:
And here she is.
I gave her an old cushion, and topped it with an ancient Blue's Clues blanket that I think we originally got when I was a little kid.
I have absolutely no idea what we're going to name her.

Also, my 13 year old cat is currently hiding under my bed. He's going to get one hell of a shock when he comes out.

Edit #2:
Okay, Spazz saw her. He walked past her at first, but then I stuck him right beside her... He took one sniff and shot backwards two feet. Probably the cat equivalent of, "Oh, [&@%!], no! Not another!" The kitten carries the scent of the same house the dog is from, so... He's being a chicken right now.

Spazz has never gotten along with any other animal except for my dog. At this point, he's the grouchy old man of cats. I suppose there's a chance he could learn to live with the new kitten, but that chance is pretty damn low. They've already gotten into a hissing contest. Although it seemed more like Spazz was just afraid of the kitten (and the kitten was afraid of Spazz).

We just fed the kitten with a mixture of cream and wet cat food. We're not really sure what sex the critter is right now since the kitten is too small to tell. The only thing we're really certain of is that this is one lucky mini-cat.

We just realized today that, almost one month after getting him, the puppy is as big as my spaniel now. On the last page, he's only about half as tall. He still likes to harass the older dog, but at least around us he's not as nippy as he used to be.

So I got a few pictures of my pet Birds. Firstly last night I saw spending some time with my African Grey Morgan..

Anyways, with all these toys my niece has, and will eventually grow out of, we at least know that somebody wants to have his own little play set

Later in the night, he spent time with my may on the cough while she watched tv and I was streaming videos <_< he tends to like to walk about her lap or perch atop her knee.. but it just so happened my dog Holly was on the couch too. He watched to see if they'll get along, namely that he wouldn't try to go after her or get too close.. she's well aware how much damage his bites can do..

Anyways this morning I switched who gets the attention to my other pt bird, the youngest.
