Dont underestimate the DB, they never fight toe to toe. The challenge for Harkon would be to locate and force the DB into an all out fight in the first place

I think there's a good chance Harkon might suddenly find one or more of his trusted lieutenants are actually DB plants from centuries ago and things could be a lot less clear cut for the Vampire campaign

What if the DB armed and tipped off the Dawnguard, Harkon they could deal with Harkon

Archmage Shalidor (of Labyrinthian fame) vs Archmage Gauldur and the Gauldursons.

Shalidor took on a whole clan of Dwemer who were armed with the Spellbreaker and stole the secret of life from Akatosh. He wins hands down. The other four are just powerful wizards. The Gauldursons aren't especially significant and were stricken from all records, and Master Neloth wouldn't even consider Aren for an apprenticeship. All Gauldur has going for him is his amulet, and his sons confiscated that pretty handily.
